Identical twin incest, hmmm. There is a twincest story that I had decided against doing and was going to try to pass off to Yuri Project, but your comment made me take another look at it. And I've changed my mind.

Anouncing that Fly by Yuri is picking up Gemini by Kusano Kouichi. It's an 8 page one-shot, easy to edit, and I've already done the initial translation, so it won't take long. Adding it to my scanlator's page now.

Turns out I actually love it.

I've always had a bit of an unhealthy fascination with incest, says the scanlater of a mother-daughter incest. Maybe it doesn't always have to be unhealthy?

Actually, as long as they aren't producing highly inbred children and the relationship is fully consensual just like any other, I've never seen any reason at all for objecting to any kind of incestuous relationship.

Edit: "aren't producing highly inbred children"... I guess that means I object to many of the marriages of European royalty in previous centuries.

You can type it ("Adult life comedy") straight into the search bar and it'll do the same.

I experimented and it does indeed work if you type the tags straight into the search bar, but the order of the search results is more helpful if you use the advanced search instead. For instance, when you just type it into the bar, chapters can get scattered all over the results. That may not be that big of deal, but in this case their are 8 pages of results, so it does make difference.

There might be someplace that would let you marry your niece if there was no possibility of having children. Then they'd just have to convince someone that they couldn't have children. (So that could actually benefit them. But what about science babies?)

I don't now when I'll have the Hana and Hina account done boss, but I'll get to work on it this evening. Err... right after I check out what's new on Dynasty that is.

I'm just being flippant, not sarcastic. I have been busy lately, so I haven't had a lot of time to work on it. But I really do plan on working on it for a while this evening. I'm pretty sure I'll get it out this month and hope for earlier in the month rather than later.

Truth is, male or female, anyone who does what the MC does is a super saiyan 4 creepier. I admit, I'm like only a super saiyen 2. Haven't developed that ultra super power of shipping people irl yet. . .

A little while back, I saw two girls in their late teens wearing matching dresses in the mall, and I found myself wondering if they were a couple... Does that make me a super saiyen 3 creepier? Or was that not actually shipping them?

I'll admit I didn't find this very interesting and just skimmed through the last part of chapter 2. (Plus I never found it interesting when looking through my copy of Yuri Hime.) I guess I'll wait and see how it goes, but I won't be volunteering as the editor. I do hope someone steps in to edit it.

I was forgetting (How'd I do that?), there was a time she was away for longer, a few months or so (with no idea when she'd be back). But we did talk on the phone every little bit, and I drove up to see her (about a 2 hour trip) every couple of weeks or so. So we made it through that time okay. I guess I had forgotten because the circumstances were such that I didn't want to remember that time, so I had put it out of mind. That would be the closest I've ever been to a long distance relationship.

I had a successful long distance relationship once. But she came back after only a week, so I guess that wouldn't count. (And she left me later, but not while we were apart.)

I agree that long distance relationships are dicey. But I think they have a better chance if it's for a known time span, whether that's weeks, months, or even years. It's when a person doesn't know how long it will last that it becomes even harder to deal with. In this case, there was no end in site, was there? And they hardly even got to talk on the phone. I think if it were me, I would have been looking for ways to move to Tokyo (though that might not have helped much). In any case I hope that I would have talked to her about it before doing anything drastic. Well I can't know unless I were to actually face that situation.

I hold in my hot little hands volume 2 of this work. At the end of volume 1, it says (1) end, but at the end of volume 2, it just says end. So it's probably only two volumes long, but that's not certain. If it is just two volumes long, is it yuri? Het? Yaoi? I haven't actually tried to read the second volume, but just looking at it I can't tell that any couples are forming. The three girls do have some interaction with the three boys and occasionally one on one, but there doesn't seem to be any new couples. On the very last page, (big spoiler, giant spoiler, I'm not kidding!) Chizuru (the MC's most likely yuri love interest) says "I haven't got a boyfriend yet during summer break! Hmmm. So if it's just two volumes, it doesn't seem like yuri or het to me. But if there's going to be more, then we don't know yet.

Turtleduck Scanlations has reached chapter 6.5 of Otomodachi kara Hajimemashou (Let's start with a friend). All of those chapters are also available on the batoto reader. It looks like the series is two volumes (14 chapters) long. I think it's very well written. I'd really like to see it uploaded here.

Seriously, it's strongly implied that Aki is a lesbian who has been disappointed and is resigned to the girls who approach her not being serious. Now suddenly one girl is demonstrably very serious. If Aki can actually get past the rape attempt as being a simple misunderstanding, then it makes sense that she might conceive an interest in this girl.

I wouldn't call the story over just yet. The "extras" include one more chapter in vol 2 and close to a third of vol 3 (several chapters). They all focus in the present time, and while I haven't actually read them, I'm willing to bet they'll include some hints on some of the directions things are likely to go. Edit: Like "Looking to Tomorrow" (the final chapter in vol 3) contains the hint that Mika finally gets a girlfriend.

I agree; that's a horrible way to lose your virginity. If it were me, I'd probably feel almost as though I was raped. Though I've done some really stupid things, thankfully I've never been quite that stupid.

Your point that the blossoms are just metaphorical is a good one; I'm kind of thinking you're right. But here goes an effort to give you back your tagedy.

If the platform scene is indeed weeks later, then Fuyu is just a figment of Re's imagination and it doesn't matter what she's wearing or what bag she's carrying. But then why is Re wearing her high school uniform? If Re did indeed come to the platform to commit suicide, then she might have chosen it for it's nostalgic value and to represent what she's dying over. It's a way to keep the tragedy interpretation.

But I don't think that's it. The cherry blossom metaphor is, as you pointed out, already established, and that idea for why she'd be wearing the uniform seems kind of weak to me.

Italics mine. I was very glad also that she was able to confess. At least then she knows she tried. That can make it easier to move on. And you never know; sometimes, even when you think you have no chance...

I think that Re is actually still wearing the same uniform on pages 26 to 28. That's the same shirt. That's the same sweater; the collar is fully not drown in one panel on 27, but on 26 it is fully drawn, so the sweater is an exact match. That looks like the same jacket worn the same way; it's simply not shaded in every panel (perhaps because of her pain). It's also not shaded on page 18, and their middle school uniforms have omitted shading in several places. And finally, that's the same bag over her shoulder.

If that's the case, this would be immediately after their conversation and that would be Fuyu herself on the opposite platform preparing to board a train in the opposite direction. And if Re looks older, it would be because of the pain she's feeling.

Now would someone please point out to this blind girl how the clothes Re is wearing are different from her uniform, other than what I've already said.

Edit: Well having said all that, I can't be sure the un-shaded version of her jacket isn't buttoned up, so despite the strong similarities, I'm not sure.

Edit 2: I really don't think she committed suicide. While I'll admit that thought occurred to me with that train, I don't really think it fits, and I don't think her posture in that panel is that of someone about to step forward. Can't be sure since you can't see her lower body.

Edit 3: Ah, skip it. Doesn't the bottom of page 28 mean the cherry blossoms are blooming? Or is that a slight skip forward to their blooming? If they are blooming during the platform scene, then it must be a week or three later and that would shoot my theory to pieces. But I'm still sure that everything we can see her wearing except maybe the jacket looks the same as her uniform.

Edit 4: Okay, scratch that theory. I'm convinced the cherry blossoms are blooming as she stands on the platform. They were just starting to bud during their conversation, so this must be a couple of weeks or so later. But my point still stands that she's wearing the same clothes except for the jacket.

Since approximately a day or two ago, Imgur's site got redesigned. Now, in albums on Imgur, images are no longer slightly shrunken. So now, if you read chapters on Imgur, the images are now always full-size, at the full 690-pixel width. (BTW, this pertains to the desktop full site, not the mobile site.)

I noticed that. There used to be a download button on the right side of the page near the top (and also several sample images), but I can't find any such thing now. I did find a download button at the very bottom under post options, but is there a more convenient one near the top?

There are still those gaps between images. So here is a new bookmarklet just for that.

Ah, sorry for asking such an intrusive question, Nezchan. Still, you told me most of what I wanted to know. In the case of the trans-woman friend of mine whom I've mentioned before, she had a group insurance policy that did pay part of the cost of her hormones (which weren't that expensive anyway), but she had to pay for everything else out of her own pocket. Surgeries, electrolysis, trips to specialists and more. She borrowed quite a bit of money to make it happen. And I hear it's much more expensive now than when she did it.

Nezchan, I'm curious. Did the Canadian healthcare system pay for any part of your transition? In the USA there are basically no insurance companies that will pay for anything connected with the transition, since it's a "voluntary" (yeah right) procedure.

Edit: You can get the kindle stuff from Amazon jp if you have a Japanese address. You can find one easily by signing up with a forwarding proxy service such as Tenso. After that all you have to do is get the Kindle reading app for PC which is available from Amazon.

Edit: It looks like tenso can consolidate packages too. So if I'm buying several items used from the amazon marketplace, maybe I can save on shipping by having tenso consolidate them into one package. And I could buy some items that Amazon refuses to ship overseas. (Like clothing or shoes for instance.)

There is a Hirari vol 0 now available on Amazon.jp, but it seems to only have a kindle version. Of course you can only get that if you're in Japan. Is anyone interested in trying to get it?
