I think this is the best roll I've ever gotten in a gacha ever. And it was my first 10-roll, too
Ayyy, have fun with your Harpoon Gun Bear. I didn't get Rosa with my pulls, but I at least got Shining. Tbh, I was pulling to try and get Istina, but ended up with 2 Leonhardts instead. :(
Also I don't think the first two stages are that hard, you just need to get used to the enemy pathing. The second stage especially since the mages don't just go straight to the blue box, they walk back and forth for a while before actually going into your base, leaving you time to activate the detectors. You can complete both of the first stages with just 3 stars (+ Shaw for the 1st stage). You can see the strategies from KyoStinV, here's stage 1 and stage 2.
The devs literally design stages to be winnable with low rarity operators, except the harder stages that might require 5 stars, sometimes a 6 star if it's like, extreme mode or challenge mode.
Woah she burns herself faster than Himeko but you can keep her alive with a bunch of needles and soda bottles?!
For good reason too, she has the highest DPS in the game AND it's with arts damage, something that already ignores armor. If she didn't straight up die, then that's way too OP.
It's extremely easy to get the welfare. You can easily do the first two stages of the event and get 40 Cookies, the event currency. After that, you can farm Cookies playing any stage outside of Extreme and Annihilation mode. You get 1 Cookie per Sanity you spend, and the total cost of the welfare + all her tokens = 250 Cookies.
Animated pv for Children of Ursus. That is some whiplash inducing music.
They sure did use very cheery uplifting music for the most depressing event.
Edit: BTW, trigger warning for a lot of fucked up shit in the event story. Depression, self-harm, suicide attempt, etc. Seriously skip it if any of these things trigger you. Not gonna put this in spoilers cause trigger warnings supercede spoiler etiquette.

Here's what the new features will look like. I couldn't find a video where it shows all the new features on screen in English so I had to fall back on this Japanese one. The design is really nice and the Path of Glory feature will let you customize your profile more. The Fashion Gallery also looks great, it looks like a high-end fashion catalogue.
The event stories are 10x better than the main story, mostly cause they focus on stuff outside of Rhodes Island. Also cause we have no clue what the backstory of the main story events are until its fleshed out further in future events that explore it.
With Arknights, the main story is basically Rhodes Island vs Reunion while the event stories flesh out the rest of the world whether it be on a specific faction or on humanizing the Rhodes Island operators we don't see much of. With Amiya, I honestly don't care about her. She's the main character and I've never really liked the typical anime protagonists and she's clearly one.
With that said, chapter 5 is when the story "gets good." I'm reserving judgement on the main story though. Arknights has shown that it likes foreshadowing and slowly revealing conspiracies so I'm gonna wait till we get a bigger picture of the plot before I give a final review of the main story. That's another reason why event stories are better, they're self-contained with occasional open-ended conclusions while the main story is a work in progress.
Speaking of event stories, they're gonna roll out the Information Processing Room soon. That's a feature that let's you view previous event stories. It's probably coming with Children of Ursus along with the Path of Glory and Fashion Gallery features.
Found a tier list maker and decided to make one: my tier list.
Genuinely didn't realize how many male operators I actually liked in this game. Especially Jaye, I'm gonna insta E2 him when he comes to the global server.

If we're comparing then FGO doesn't even have auto battle nor does it have any base features that let you passively farm trust/money/EXP and even the gacha currency. FGO also doesn't let you recruit beyond a 3 star with its secondary recruit system and even expands that pool to equipment instead of only characters. FGO also has no spark system that guarantees you a limited character after so many rolls (will be implemented with W banner) nor does it let you buy high rarity characters from the store without having to get copies of the highest rarity (Arknights let's you get the currency to buy 6 stars from 4 star dupes).
You never need to have SSRs to win in FGO and getting one (no matter who it is) in the game is more meaningful than games which shower you with them. Sure you can buy 6* operators in the game outside of the gacha... if you get 180 dupes of 4* units. The spark system also requires 300 rolls on the banner which frankly is not too feasible for free players unless you don't spend any other banners and horde them for a long time. Would you like this game the same or less if it didn't have autobattle (and no base) in it and you had to do everything manually? Would you like FGO more if it had those features in it?
FGO's gameplay is complete shit so no I wouldn't like it better whether it had autoplay or not and I would still like Arknights cause its gameplay is actually good. Also you can farm 4 stars with the recruit system, and that's not even adding the 4-6 stars you get from the gacha banners. You can also get 5-6 stars in the recruit system, I've personally gotten 4 top operator tags so far.
The spark system is there for whales, not for F2P players in the first place. At least there's a 100% chance to get the operator you want instead of people whaling on FGO and if they're unlucky, they won't get the servant they want after spending an absurd amount of money. My FGO friend had to spend $1000 on a banner before he got the servant he wanted.
Also how in the world is having a shittier rate for high rarity characters ever a good thing?? As for whether you need SSRs, you don't need high rarity operators to complete Arknights either, they're only there for people who want to flex high risks on CC. You can clear the main story and event stories with 3 and 4 stars just fine, and there's literally someone on Youtube who shows you exactly how to do it.
I've played FGO for 2 years before and quit cause after losing the luster of getting SSRs, I realized the gameplay actually sucks ass. The only good things going for FGO are the story and the characters, everything else sucks. Even the UI looks like shit, courtesy of it being an older game. There's also the high demand of time for farming events, if you want to get everything, you're gonna need to invest a lot of time. Arknights does not force you to waste time on rock paper scissors and you can actually do other stuff while farming. It also doesn't demand that much time to complete events either. 2 weeks for each event gives you plenty of time to clear all the content you need to without actually spending a lot of hours to do stuff.
Oh yeah, even with characters, at least Arknights has unique new characters with different designs instead of a reskin of the same person over and over (and I'm saying this as a Saberface lover). Also the fact they add different classes of the same character or have a summer version of the same character. Why not just add a skin instead of making people have to roll for it? And while I'm at it, FGO has way too many gags instead of proper characterization for servants. A joke or two is fine, but when you focus on that instead of actual characterization and lore, it's like having to sit through 50 episodes of Naruto fillers.
Anyways, there are some things I wish Arknights had that FGO has, namely avatar customization and interludes. I know the Doctor is supposed to be mysterious and shit, but it'll be neat if they let you actually customize them. As for interludes, giving people an interlude similar to the Story of Afternoon vignettes after you max trust them would be nice. A smaller thing I'd like is for Arknights to have an updated sprite for E2'ed operators. Honestly dunno why they didn't do that in the first place, but I'll cut them some slack since Hypergryph is a startup company and Arknights is their first game. They're also constantly adding new stuff and improving upon stuff in the game, evident of the stuff in the CN server.
One thing you have to keep in mind is that Arknights is a really new game compared to FGO and FGO has barely improved anything in the years they've been out while Arknights has added new mechanics, new features, new game types, and new QoL fixes since it's been out a year ago.
TL;DR: Arknights >>>>>>>>>>> Great Wall of China >>>>>>>>>>>>> FGO.

You can also refresh your support by doing 1-7 with a support unit, you will always need rocks so it's not a waste of Sanity
Yeah, just pick a random support unit and then finish the run and there you go, bootleg refresh. You can also do this on other maps, just pick a random support, start the run, exit the run and your support list has been refreshed. You'll lose 1 sanity but that's an option.

WTF. Why the hell we can only refresh support 10 times every 12 hours?
It used to be 5.....
And that's (much) better? FGO lets you refresh the support servant list an unlimited amount of times- although with a slight delay between refreshes (~10sec if I recall correctly) compared to this game where it's only 10 refreshes every 12 hours. Also it used to be 5 every 6 hours which turns out be not that much of a change.
If we're comparing then FGO doesn't even have auto battle nor does it have any base features that let you passively farm trust/money/EXP and even the gacha currency. Anyways I'm pretty sure the reason Arknights doesn't give you unlimited refreshes is cause they want to give your friend supports a fairly equal chance of being picked since the person you borrow from gets 20 friend points from having their units used. Prevents whales from having a monopoly since they're usually the ones with maxed out units.
Edit: I do think they should have two separate support lists though, one for CC and one for regular maps. Using someone's support for CC doesn't give them anything IIRC so having unlimited refreshes there while keeping the 10 for regular maps where it does give friend points seems more fair.

Yeah, that's an annoying thing about support. IIRC when there isn't a Contingency Contract event and you lose a normal stage when the support refresh is on a time the supports will refresh.
It works during a CC event too, just do it on a normal stage. That's what I did to find a support FEater with S2M3.
It seems I am completely wrong and there might actually be shuffling of events. The latest tweet suggests Children of Ursus event instead of Darknights Memoirs.
Oh hey, in that case I'm pretty sure they're gonna do Children of Ursus > Dragon Boat Festival > Twilight of Wolumonde > CC#1 > Darknights Memoirs > Chapter 7 > CC#2 > the rest. I'm very glad they're going this route though since it'll coincide with their 1st anniversary.
There's also a new quality of life update for the base coming soon; you'll be able to to all of the trading post orders at once and the factory's production queue will be refilled automatically.
The timing of that means Darknights Memoirs is very soon. Likely next week.
Ah... so this means 1st anniversary will be 3 months early... TBH I hope they shuffle around some events cause I'd rather we have a longer time period to save up for a new limited banner.
Arknights notoriously has child soldiers and even Blaze said people joked that Rhodes is a sweat shop cause of the age of some of their personnel in Stories of Afternoon. Having 3 years of combat experience doesn't actually say anything about someone's age except they're at least 10.
Speaking of rare pairs, I remember reading Kroos x Siege fanfic before. Genuinely did not expect to see that ship. You can find them on AO3 if you want to check it out.
Even height-wise, she's clearly leaning on being a kid. You could say she's just short, but coupled with everyone saying she's a kid, maybe she's actually just a kid hmmmm...
That however doesn't prove that's she's 14 like you claimed earlier. Also keep in mind that physical age is not an indicator of maturity- in which case she still could be a "child" even if she is chronologically an "adult".
Have you read chapter 6 yet? I already said that they mentioned her age in the main story.
List is missing the Chernobog bearcub middleschoolers for some reason:
I didn't list them cause they're older teens. It's also why I didn't list Ifrit. Also the translation for the bear kids isn't as accurate. They're not all middle schoolers, the original Chinese word is basically secondary school so it includes middle school and high school. That's why Zima refers to Istina as young cause she's probably around 14-15 while Zima comes off as either a junior or senior in high school so 17-18. Same with Rosa, though I think she's the oldest.

TBF "looks" doesn't necessarily correlate with actual age - never mind now how whatever bizarreness is going on with Amiya's Infection (that unique "Chimera" race append doesn't exactly suggest physical normalcy) might further screw things.
People who know her well keep talking about her as quite young tho which I would consider rather more reliable indicator.
Either way, everyone says she's a kid, from the characters close to her to completely unrelated characters. Also another related thing is Amiya's height.
Other Cautus's heights in order from tallest to shortest:
Ayerscarpe - 173 cm
Leonhardt - 165 cm
Savage - 160 cm
Rope - 155 cm
Kroos - 154 cm
Amiya - 142 cm
Conversely, here's the heights of child operators:
Vermeil - 153 cm
Eyjafyalla - 145 cm
Popukar - 144 cm
Amiya - 142 cm
Suzuran - 137 cm
Even height-wise, she's clearly leaning on being a kid. You could say she's just short, but coupled with everyone saying she's a kid, maybe she's actually just a kid hmmmm...
How is Amiya's age a spoiler? Also I clearly remember reading a character say that Amiya was 14 in chapter 6. It was something like "she's just 14 blah blah" something about how she's so young and still the leader of Rhodes Island, which, literally everyone keeps saying. Zima even is like "she's younger than Istina" and Istina is a middle school student so...
Zima: "The leader of Rhodes Island looks younger than even Istina. How can you let a kid like that onto the battlefield? How?"
Also I actually read chapter 6. A reddit post with chapter 6 spoilers doesn't exactly say anything. Even then, I still think it's weird to ship a kid with adult characters. There's way too many operators who repeatedly talk about how Amiya is just a kid and it's even emphasized in the main story.

IIRC chapter 6 straight up says she's 14 in the story.
Also today's daily map is super easy to max risk clear. Basically use a tank + medic + caster + FEater S2M3 and then you're good. Put the blocks around the map to make the longest possible route for the lizard guys and then that's it.
Oh yeah and Surtr has an S3 that burns her HP in return of mad buffs. Told ya she's bootleg Blood Rose Himeko. =3=
Actually she's a Stand User.

Seeing Amiya ships with older operators feels weird. She's literally 14, the age gap is just way too big for me to enjoy any Amiya ships. There's also the fact that everyone keeps reminding you that she's super young so it's not like the game isn't making her age clear.
