Now i'm trying to find when she said "Ganbaru zoi". What the heck

Just before walking in on Kou and Rin in their panties.

So, next episode.

And generally there's a reason for it. Their sudden decision to start their own animation studio may be related.

Then again, it may not. I just think the timing is too convenient to completely deny the possibility.

They're opening their own anime studio AND working on getting the Granblue anime out, so I'd give them a bit of slack to sort things out.

Even with A1 being the studio animating that.

Also, what was that announced anime of a girl and a demon(?) girl? That iirc, the artist is someone who has done yuri. Pretty sure someone posted it here or on as a topic.

(I remember that it was up on the charts for last season but was removed.)

Shingeki no Bahamut: Manaria Friends. It was abruptly indefinitely delayed (read: cancelled)

Cygames seems to be working on opening their own animation studio. That may be related.

Also note her sigh of relief after the answer.

Ah, okay.

Also, what is the context behind the mogu rant?

Some people got really mad that I decided to use the officially-used romanizations for the names in the anime translation.

Which I purposely did not do for the manga because they are not conducive to a purely text-based medium.

Rin and Kou is the only true ship

Yes. I hope anime will drop good subtexts about these two.

So you didn't see the Megami magazine image?

It's still running just fine, though as I recall it took a month off, so the next volume may not be out until December or January.

Though she didn't know that at the time...

Yeah, was wondering about the pacing... First episode covers the first 3 chapters. If they keep going at this pace, they'd cover around 36 chapters assuming they go for the 12 ep format. From the introduction of Umiko and Shizuku and the small additions, figured they'd put in some filler to try and stretch it with the release of the first game.

Here's hoping the fillers will be good. ^^ And if that means I get to see more Yun, I'll have no complains. :3

Well, they've got an episode worth of extra material from the author to add in between scenes. And probably a few other things to add here and there.

And likely, they'll be slowing the pacing down after the first episode, and only covered so much entirely because it was the first episode, so they wanted to get the introductions out of the way.

Because ending halfway through the introduction would just kill it. Especially for a slice of life.

They introduced Shizuku and Umiko much earlier in the anime, but I suppose that is pretty standard in adaptations.

According to a director interview, it's because they're popular characters, so they're having them be active characters from earlier on to please fans.

Oh crap, the anime's out already?! It's not even up on Nyaa. Woo! \o/

It'll never be on nyaa because CIRCUMSTANCES.

First episode is about as good as can be reasonably hoped for. Changes include some new material, yuri elements being played up, and a touch more fanservice

What confuses me though is that the OP heavily features Hajime and Yun

Again, from the director interview, they want to end the series at "a really good ending point" aka probably the end of volume 2, meaning they didn't have enough material to fill it out. So they asked the author to write them an extra episode worth of material (the manga-version of that meeting of Umiko and Hazuki was published in the interview). He also stated that with the anime-original material he wanted to try and show more scenes outside of the office, hence the "my first kouhai" conversation taking place when they go out for lunch instead of at their desks.

He also stated that his favorite character is Hajime. What effect that may or may not have had on the OP, I can't say.

I don't actually know, and only know about Kanaeru Lovesick because Cune happens to be one of the few magazines I read regularly. The main plot centers around a girl the gods' powers don't seem to work on, but in the background they're listening to prayers about yuri crushes and creating yuri relationships between students.

Interesting fact, Tachi's got a second manga series running in Cune. It's about three gods living in an all girl high school, under contract with the school to make the students' loves come true. It's about four chapters in now.

I have come to the conclusion that this manga is the line between yuri and subtext.

It slowly gets gayer as it goes on.

Rin almost goes yandere at one point.

Personally, I think "loving sex" or "happy sex" would have been a better suggestion, because I think the point is less about it being "not rape" and more about it being an actual loving situation that both want and understand from the get-go, instead of being tricked or manipulated or unable to resist in the heat of the moment or reluctantly giving in or whatever borderline-arguably-rape-not-rape situations are all-so-common in japanese porn.

And I could understand some people wanting to read something pure and innocent on occasion.

isnt that the 'Vanilla' tag in hentai sites? That rape and other fucked up sex situations are so common they needed an individual tag to point out the ones with 'romantic' sex?

"Vanilla" generally implies no fetish at all. You can have some pretty extreme situations where everyone involved is happy, willing, and satisfied with being involved. So while kind of similar, it's not exactly the same thing.

There's also two manga volumes coming out simultaneously next month.

Occasionally there will be mice whose middle-click locks and unlocks the scroll wheel instead of actually middle-clicking.

Those mice are really stupid.

I found out from last month's magazine chapter saying "The end" and "Look forward to Muku's next series!"

joined May 23, 2015

I don't know why, but Comic Cune has been really harsh lately. They've cancelled about five series in the past 3-4 months alone. Some of them right in the middle of the next volume so the final chapters can't be put out in volume format. Some even disappearing entirely without even getting a proper end. It's getting to the point where I keep myself from getting too invested in any Cune series out of fear it'll get cancelled in a really awkward spot.

joined May 23, 2015

Don't look forward too much; it got cancelled after two volumes.

You probably read a very skewed opinion, here's the interview you're talking about.

I'm not so sure it was that one! But it was two and a half years ago, and I can't find any trace of it remaining except for excerpts from a few different interviews akin to that one, with people speaking very politically about it and leaving a few statements that could only vaguely be interpreted as possibly pointing in that direction, so it's a moot point that I'll forfeit.

joined May 23, 2015

I saw it in an interview way back around the time the movie first came out, and I can't seem to find it anymore, myself. And everything I find now that even references the event speaks of it really toned down.

I can't tell if it's something that was blown out of proportion at the time, or something that is being glossed over now.

There's really no wrong choice to make here. And Rebellion is not ''milking'' the franchise at all, imo.

Whatever your opinion may be, the director and writer got into a pretty big fight over exactly that issue.

joined May 23, 2015

According the the guy who wrote the story, Rebellion flows specifically from the movie adaptations and the characters from the TV version would have reacted differently.
