Half of the fun of stories like this is to come read the comments of confused and disappointed people trying to find their sickeningly sweet fluffy times ending. To be fair this one did not quite earn the ending it tried to sell, some of the drama was a bit, hmm, sudden and flimsily established to really be convincing. Ah well. There have certainly been more convoluted developments, and Ai seems content enough with where she ended up though the eerily similar looking half-sibling (I forgot the gender!) of Tomo seemed unnecessary. If anything I am kind of fed up with lack of fluff always labeled sad and/or bad around here.

It's her brother (half), but you gotta say, the reveal in the final chapter came out of nowhere. so it was kind of bad.

By the way, it startles me someone could just go by Yukiko. Isn't Yukiko one of the very commonest girls names? Is that the name of the circle, or is the mangaka a Yukiko something and said, I'm claiming the single-name identity first! The only other thing I see here is a Love Live! donjon, after all. This is just curiosity on my part, but I really am curious.

I wasn't saying it's not slice of life, it clearly is. Just that the reason he stated at the beginning had nothing to do with it being slice of life.

The everyday guy thing is boring. No offence, if I took your life and made it a manga i wouldn't be interested.

I guess it depends on much a person like SoLs. Myself I don't like it that much, unless there's a few cool things that makes the day to day a bit more bearable to read.

Like in this case, I don't really read this anymore. But I can still see the qualities in the work that I just don't care for to read.

This is the same reason why I don't watch any SoLs like Non Non Biyori and all those yuri subtext animes a lot of folks here seem to really enjoy. I just don't enjoy the hijinks and characters being retardedly funny, in fact I pretty much have to cover my face because I feel embarassed for them. This the same reason why I don't watch any reality TV. Them "being cute" does not work for me.

I don't understand how things went to slice of life here.
If I'm not wrong, here ChocolateCakeLover point was that he didn't like the basic and boring normal, nice and understanding main character that all harem manga have. (with of course him being forced in suggestive and naughty situation). That have nothing to do with slice of life, only harem (and sometime adventure shounen).

It not really about everyday life being boring, it's about a boring main character whose only reaction and character trait is being uninterestingly nice and understanding.

I think they did take liberties, I've seen some translation that didn't make much sense as they could have put some that would have been a lot closer to the original sentence.
However, I don't know if they are removing homosexual references, I still see some subtext but who know what I've missed. I'm don't know much about Japanese and english isn't my first language.

it was great but I was hoping to know what happened between takako and yui but it never showed. I mean, i want to know how she got the friggin scar and how did yui do it? did they get together? `cuz like yui asked those questions like "do i turn you on?" and that time that she said "i'm hungry" i could've sworn that i thought she was going to back hug takako

I also wanted to know what happened to saki and mayu afterwards though.. even though it was implied that they could've gotten together i wanted to see it happen T...T sobs

great manga but kinda a cliff hanger ending and lotsa plot holes, especially at the point where Takeyama Jin didn't even show us the face of Mika's new love uhhhh .....

That's looks like the bad kind of angst to me, the two sisters seems not to have much beside themselves and the big sister girlfriend and looks like the main character and the big sister will have something romantic going on. Plus the little sister who might enter the romantic drama and the fact that they are living in the current girlfriend house...

Edit : and plus the very serious kind of violence it seems to have

I hope it's just me being paranoid and that it will not really be too much angsty

now that i've read it again, i'm surprisingly ok with this ending. yes, it was disappointing that we got a bunch of chapters about mayu and mika only for them to not end up together but looking back it might've been out of character for mika to fall for mayu when she insisted that she's not into younger girls. besides, it doesn't seem as though mayu or saki is unhappy with how things are so it's a good end, not the ending i would've liked, but a good end nonetheless.

This is what I've been saying the whole time. The ending was not that bad but most were gnashing their teeth. Glad to see I'm not the only one that likes the ending as it is.

I personally didn't like what we had before this last chapter because it was all about Mika's (love life) development but there was absolutely no conclusion, we didn't see her embracing a new love. With this last chapter, I like it better. Still disappointed we didn't get to see much about it

Has Shou pulled a bait-and-switch end like people are afraid of in any of his published work. I know he didn't in Prism, but I haven't read his other stuff. I know others here have. So has he pulled a trick anything close to what is feared before?

His other work are all classic hentai, sometimes two very close girl does things with each other but it's all about friendly/sisterly sex to help guys jerk off (during or preceding a threesome with the boyfriend)

Wait, what? The initial story arc DID have a happy ending in My Beloved. One girl was happy with her girlfriend, the other has the likely start of a healthy relationship, and the two childhood friends have reunited and old wounds are healed. That's damn near ideal.
