Could've been done better, with also less fanservice (some unnecessary naked scenes, pointed out by sickandtiredtoday above^ and even that yuri fanservice moments like that at ch 6..)

Still a funny manga, liked the way drama was handled around the comedy, a bit refreshing.

There's only so much development you can get into a one-shot.

Oh, believe me, mangakas can sometimes work magic in very limited amount of pages. (I should re-check/re-visist some one-shots)

Yuyushiki is NOT yuri, it's jokes and teasing to get a retort from Yui. Also its a 4-koma manga, it's not going to have any kind of development whatsoever.

Love Lab was an example of non-yuri that yuri fans made themselves believe was gonna be yuri.

What I linked was a Love Live doujin, I don't know the series, never watched it.

Yuru Yuri... If the comedy appeals to you, go ahead. If you want yuri... No, not worth it. (Yuri is sort of a gimmick in there.)

You might be dissapointed, just like those who expected yuri from Love Lab, which also was not Yuri tagged.

Last episode, not a satisfying conclusion at all. =/

The animation on last episode was crap, not to mention episode itself was "meh" anime was too involved in throwing new characters at us to develop anything or produce comedic timing so the whole thing feels like wasted potential, hoping the rest of this gets translated -_-

Need more Sakura Trick or Sakura Trick-like anime, preferably without the love triangle arc and a focus on the main couple for more than half the anime plz...

There are certainly a bunch of other mangaka I love thanks to their longer stories but Ruruu is easily top tier within her primary domain of original oneshots. Her writing is actually notably cliche-free and original with surprising consistency considering the fact that none of her stories make any substantial use of drama.

I don't think that excluding drama and avoiding cliches = good writing. I just don't see much writing to begin with. I find her stuff somewhat... soulless (does that make sense?...).

I suppose it's a matter of taste, I still like some of them, http://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/this_is_a_great_hug_pillow hits me on my weak spot for actions of the sort of cuddling.

Anyone else notices that this mangaka's yuri stuff pretty much present the same... let's say: Format.

Girl A forces herself onto girl B
Girl B accepts as she suddenly finds out that she is also attracted to girl A
All of this without any sort of romantic development whatsoever
1 of the girls is usually dominant while the other is tame.

(I can't really judge the writing when there is barely any to judge)

Not saying its all bad... Just not particularly stellar nor amazing, just average...
Never really understood where all the praising and hailing came from.
