Spoiler alert, I don't know how to use tags here ,,
Well there's also the" It's not bad if she stays asleep like this"at the end and the next thing that happens is that they have to leave because they arrived to their station. Even the line "it can't stay like this" says it. These implications can be either negative or positive, but the thing it foreshadows is that their current relationship will change.
I agree that Yuu did seem disappointed when she saw the exit sign though. But this can have a symbolic meaning as well.

Yuu's decision to help Touko is definitely gonna affect their current relationship, there's no denying that. But you're right, it could be for better or for worse. Either Yuu's plan will help Touko open up to her feelings so she can return Yuu's or Touko'll end her relationship with Yuu for good since she won't be needing it for emotional relief anymore. I think Yuu knows the risk behind her decision all too well & I think this chap depicts that. According to the summary of the chap on /u/, Yuu basically questioned Touko's love for her when she said that she wants to go on more dates since she likes Yuu. Ofc, we have the end of the date w/ Yuu deciding to wake Touko up instead of continuing this happy moment w/ Touko on her shoulder since "we can't stay like this," unlike in chap 13. Yuu is definitely aware of the possibility that she'll lose everything she has w/ Touko, but she prefers that over remaining in the status quo & letting Touko continue to suffer. I'm not denying that this chap might be a dark foreshadowing, but it could very well be just a good reflection of Yuu's resolve & a reminder of the weighing risk behind her decision like how last chap is a reminder of the weight of Touko's problem w/ her possible suicidal thoughts & may or may not be an actual foreshadowing. Lots of stakes involve & this series can end either way. That's what makes it an interesting read. I think it's better for us to sit back & watch how this will all play out for now than getting too worried over how there're dark implications everywhere since I don't think they'll go away till the very end lol

Btw, is it just me or they gave each other phone pendants? ;w;

Yeah, they bought & exchanged almost matching phone straps. It's adorable ><

Man this chapter was cute af but the scene when they're leaving could be some dark foreshadowing or something

The train scene is p much a parallel to chap 13, so I see it more as a positive thing. Further shows that Yuu is now very resolved to help Touko rather than be comfortable w/ the status quo like before.

Rlly love how Nakatani handles the end of the date

Touko: I wish this will never end
Yuu: It's... the exit
Me: Muh kokoro

You can interpret this as some dark foreshadowing, but for now, I'll just appreciate it as a really nice depiction of the lingering emotion both feel towards the date.

^ Pretty visual heavy too. This series has always had an anime flow to it, but this chap is especially so. Just imagining that scene where Yuu leads Touko through the aquarium tunnel getting animated gives me goosebumps.

Raw for this month is out: https://tieba.baidu.com/p/5244845924

Yuu held Touko's hand & "we can't stay this way." I'm having a moment. Also, Yuu looks so happy the entire chapter ; ;

EDIT: Oh btw, I notice something. Between this chap & chap 13, it seems like both Touko & Yuu are happiest when they get wet together.

Well, Princess Principal ep 3 was exciting...

Ange: Let's elope together.
Charlotte: No, I want to become queen & unify this country so we can be gay together forever legally.

Really? I didn't notice anything particularly yuri-ish there

Princess & the pauper. Childhood best friends. The secret is only between them.

These are the ingredients to make the perfect subtext yuri.

So they might rush and skip stuff soon to get to it.

Seems likely cuz it'll end on a better note with that arc than any of the two I mentioned since they basically beat the entire student council then

The good old gaydar was going off during that Princess Principal show. But we'll see....

From the creators, according to someone on /u/: "The core of the story is the special relationship between the protagonist Ange and Princess."

Let's just hope that the red staining on the princess' dress isn't a foreshadowing of a tragic ending

Anyone who went through the Kakegurui manga know of its been followed closely? Only part I read was vol6 for the yuri. Think that volume might get animated?

Pretty damn close to a 1:1 adaptation so far. Based on the OP, they'll probably reach that yuri arc.

Edit: I went to re-check the manga chapters, the yuri arc starts from ch 29. So far, they adapted 4.5 chaps into 3 eps. There are 12 in total this season, so they might only adapt up to the idol girl's arc or the glasses dude's arc. So the yuri arc might have to wait till S2, assuming this does get a S2 which I think is likely.

Princess Principal did not disappoint in terms of animation quality. That first ep was amazing to look at. Though I really wish they hadn't gone with the moe loli designs with that 19th century vintage setting. Still, really liked that first ep & hope this will go places.

Made in Abyss first ep was damn awesome. Stunning visuals & BGM, subtle exposition without info dumping & character narration, charming characters & character designs, fun adventurous spirit with slightly uneasy dark undertones. Haven't read the manga so I don't know where this is going, but I hope this will continue to be good cuz that first ep was very promising.

I stumbled upon episode 1, knowing only the series by name…

This is some kind of amateur animated demo? Right? >.> Please tell me that it is.

its a brand new animation studio. NTR is their first work.

Actually, Creators in Pack has done several shows already & most of them shorts, like NTR: https://myanimelist.net/anime/producer/1195/Creators_in_Pack.

But yeah, they're still fairly new & low-budget.

Oh, I didn't know that NTR was going to be shorts. So, whatever you might think of the story, you're better off reading the manga, because the anime has no budget

Ironically, thanks to the low budget of the adaptation, I can (kind of) enjoy this as a comedy since it's now a whole-package pile of shit.

Will see if the infamous blackmailing scene will make me laugh here or get me so mad I'll drop it like I did the manga.

Thing is Sayaka might end up feeling really betrayed and lied to by Touko when she finds out

Yeah, I can see that. Although I think Sayaka kinda knows Touko does hide personal stuffs from her since she kinda gets that Touko has issues, so even if she does feel betrayed, she most likely won't come to resent Touko for it. I'm making these guesses based on the assumption that everyone in this manga (but Touko) is quite rational & on the fact that Nakatani doesn't rlly do messy melodrama. But like you said, it can be hard to guess the exact reaction especially when Sayaka does let her jealousy shows through a lot of the time (so she might not react as rationally as I imagine).

I can't decide which is worse.

I think any ending that Yuu gets hurt is the worst ending...

Amen. You are speaking my language.

I just had a thought. We keep talking about Touko's reaction but what about Sayaka's? She is pretty sharp and depending on how things are changed this could expose that there is more to Yuu and Touko's relationship than they have been letting known to her. Sooner or later she will have to find out as to address her own feeling and the ramifications of losing her crush to another girl.

Sayaka is pretty suspicious about them for a long time, but she's been unwilling to admit that there's anything more. So if she finds out, it'll probably a mixture of disbelief & frustration (possibly w/ Yuu & herself). I don't think she's fallen for Touko to the point where she'll be emotionally scarred & can't recover from losing her or to the point of going yandere apeshit over it, but she's definitely not one to give up in silent either. I think she will confront both of them (maybe not both at the same time) to try to get the story behind their relationship & the reason behind the changed script. Personally, I hope she'll come to point where she can see how bad Touko's situation is and then help Yuu in her plan to help Touko. Whether there'll be an actual catfight between Yuu & Sayaka or not, or whether Sayaka will confess to Touko or not, I can't really say.

Unless the author somehow makes Sayaka win or noone wins ending.

I can't decide which is worse.

But she also needs to tell her about the new ending to the play, so... she does kind of have an ulterior motive this time. (unless she doesn't talk about the play at all...)

Like Scarlet said, I don't think she is intending to reveal her plan to change the script to Touko... at least not now since the new script isn't finished yet and I think she wouldn't want to risk having Touko rejecting the plan so early on either. But I guess we have to wait till next chapter to find out. If she is planning on telling Touko, she might have to be very vague & cover up the real intention behind it so that Touko wouldn't get suspicious.

But Yuu HAS been the one to initiate them hanging out before! Several times. Technically when they were studying together it was Touko who asked Yuu if she was also going to the library, but when the library was full, it was Yuu who asked her if she wanted to study at her house instead of at the library (Chapter 8). There is no indication of who suggested the doughnut shop in chapter 18, but it was probably because of the lack of space in the library again. But the most significant two times were:

1: Chapter 10 when Yuu asked Touko to walk home with her and confronted her about her desire to become a copy of her sister.

2: Chapter 22 when Yuu, once again, asked Touko to walk home with her, then, when Touko was going to part ways, invited her to hang out at her house for a little while because, "If we say goodbye now, it'll probably be a few days until we see each other again. I don't want that."

This one, most likely, will end up being the most important one, since it seems to be leading to what will be considered a date.

I didn't consider those times mostly because they were not exactly them hanging out since they were either school work-related or just Yuu trying to confront Touko about her problems. Although you can say the same about ch 18 since Yuu also agreed to meet because of school work. But I guess ch 8 & 22 where she invited her home are probably the closest to Yuu initiate asking Touko to hang out till now. This chap tho is the first time she ever asked her to hang out just cuz she wanted to see her & not b/c she wanted to confront her or b/c of study session.
