A friend of mine has the sweetest pitbull, really good natured, and some little shit of a kid chased and hit the dog repeatedly with a stick and she eventually stopped running away and the kid bumped into her, fell over, and got scraped up on the pavement. That little shit's dad was immediately ranting to my friend threatening to sue and all that. Some seriously entitled bullshit.

Yep pretty much. In much of the U.S. it's really pretty unpopular to be anti-lgbt or anti-women, but when it comes to laws, the lgbt community has figured it out better. When state governments here try to pass bullshit laws that blatantly discriminate against lgbt people, corporations now throw their weight around and basically make it clear that if the bill passes that it will result in financial repercussions for that state. The big one now is a "bathroom bill" in North Carolina (bathroom bill refers to a bill that requires people use the restroom designated for the sex on their birth certificate). Big corporations have retracted their future plans to bring business and jobs into the state, artists will cancel their concerts there, and all sorts of other things to punish the local government that passes this discriminatory bill. I wish they'd do similar stuff every time a state tries to pass anti-abortion stuff or make it harder for women to access the healthcare they need -_- Maybe they have and I just haven't heard about it.

Double Dr. Lin, it's disappointing that what you experienced is still such a normal thing. Before completely changing industries, I worked in pharmaceutical research and even though on the surface everybody is all free-love-yay-women, in practice they were terrible about hiring and promoting very qualified women, usually using the excuse of "Oh they won't be willing to move their family here anyway" or some such crap. Then why the hell did they apply? Why not at least try to give them an offer first? Oy. It drove me nuts. Kanojo has it better now, but she's also talked about frequently having some wall of old farts that didn't take her seriously early in her career. Now there are very few people that could be considered her boss, and in general she oversees a lot of people around her age or younger who, male or female, are less prone to the bullshit that old crones are. Women just have to jump twice as high and far, and even then there's no guarantee they'll be properly acknowledged for their ability.

Don't post links to the damn free versions geez. We all know it's going to happen; doesn't mean you should make it easier for people. It's released in English, so it's not even like a matter of getting a translation. At least attempt to support the author.

Ummmm what do you usually cook for yourself? Secret family Peking duck recipe does not exist lol. That's a northern Chinese dish so anything I make would be imitation. I've never cooked a Peking style duck though. I've roasted a goose though... why not making something simpler haha. Do you like spicy food? Make mapo tofu :) Super easy and tasty. Just ginger, garlic, scallions, minced pork, dash of soy sauce, hot bean paste, chicken broth into a pot; then cut silk tofu into it and simmer; mix a little corn starch with water and slurry it through and simmer for a few more minutes; serve over rice :)

Right? I like make-up and cool clothes as well, but I'm not gonna spend like a third of my monthly salary on it. I ain't that nuts yet. XD

My parents do well for themselves but were really poor at one point and live as and raised their kids to be pretty frugal people. That's just how most of the Asian immigrant families I grew up around are. The only thing they aren't cheap about is fruit quality. Who knows why, but I've never bought a lower quality orange just because it's cheaper... and always buy 6 if you're giving them to someone else. I don't get it, but I do as I'm told lol.

The doctor said as long as I don't do any too heavy lifting and don't wear myself out, it should be good. ^^ So I just usually just do the tinkering jobs and a lot of driving around, like when I have to pick up broken vehicles from a customer's place or buy stuff somewhere.

I don't ever travel as part of my actual job, but in recent history I was asked to do some stuff for promotional purposes. I prefer a quiet and easy-going daily life and my employers know this. I think that's the standard here. In Taiwan and formerly in China, they celebrate father's day on August 8th, because in Mandarin "baba" means dad, but "ba" is also the sound for 8, so 8/8, ba/ba...

Full color Ratana makes me feel very spoiled. She really has a way with drawing pretty women haha. All I remember is a fan started guessing that the second arc is about Seju, because her face was the only one shown in the picture of the new banner on lezhin when the secon arc started, and assumed that the first one is about Sumin because, again, her face was the only one shown. So all this arc is about this and that are all just an assumption. It was never said that it's true. People just started assuming that this arc is more about Seju and the first arc is about Sumin, and the third will be about Sungji.

She told me even before we went out that things had fizzled between them and she was unhappy, so in my head I pictured a dreary witch lady.
