Yeah, BJM was one weird fucking movie. Don't think I've ever watched it again after seeing once long ago when I was bored to tears lol. Wouldn't recommend honestly... unless you're a huge Malkovich fan.... O_0

Personally, I just like weird stuff. There's a definitive chance that people might hate it though.

Then... have you seen Eraserhead?

^Or Germany.

Found Queer as Folk on a list for lesbian romance. I'm guessing side couple, can anyone confirm? Like Nez. I know Nez loves Queer as Folk.

Tried to see if it had a focus on any lesbian couples and mostly found them to be a sideshow kinda thing as it appeared to mostly focus on gay men. But, I caught random episodes here and there and most pictures I saw of the show elsewhere focused on the gay men as well so you might need to do some reading up on it or you might be wasting time.

Kirrba

I feel like the senpai isn't the type to go out with someone to make yuu jealous

Agreed, so far, most of if not all of the characters do not come across so petty.

Also, Jade, just because she rejected a boy because she didn't feel anything will not stop others from trying. Have you ever heard of people stop confessing to someone because they had rejected someone else before them? Nope. And in this story, which seems to be quite mature, we could see a confession from someone else to help the characters figure things out but not in the, I'll go out with them first before I decide on my feelings for that other person."

Ok seriously. Why this become the yaoi manga? I feel so trolled.

It was both since the beginning. But yaoi is for comedy sake mostly. It's not the core of the story.

Indeed though I was really wondering what the big guy's face was going to look like since it was always cut out up until now. I honestly thought it was going to be like the secretary lady in Power Puff Girls with him lol.

I think this needs a 'shounen' tag. I usuallly like this kind of series but this one was so boring. Every character was super boring. And probably best girl will lose

The best girl almost always loses.

Ha! Called it!! Ji-whan is such a bro! And I wonder if No-rae intentionally or unintentionally flirted with Seol-a at the end there. It's like both are starting to drop hints and plant seeds at the same time whether or not they realize it. But now that Seol-a is watching No-rae much more closely, I hope she starts noticing all the freakin blushin No-rae is doing around her! XD....

my prediction is that there will be a love triangle SaekiXNanamiXKoito-san in this manga. The love triangle will be there to create a realisation within Koito that she is in love with Nanami eventually and Saeki will be key in that role. That is what im getting from the manga currently but I could be totally wrong in that prediction.

No.

Also, that hug did not seem to be romantic in the slightest. Well... at least from No-rae's point of view but until Halmoni translates it, we can only speculate. But imho, No-rae has her flag firmly planted in Soel-a's camp and Ji-hwan knows it! I don't think we should be freaking out about that hug at all. ..... especially with that hand holding and blush at the end. Hubba-hubba

The new chapter 44 of ff felt like a filler chapter where not much happened but it doesn't matter because I still enjoyed it. I hope that there are more yuri Korean manga comes out. Its interesting to see the difference in culture and style in Korean manga then Japanese manga.

Would like to point out that the "filler" chapters in this series are not filler and show the characters interacting with each other and other in normal situations, filling out their personalities, dynamics with others, each other, and even how they dress. It's nice to see them being normal outside of the obvious journey to being a couple. It makes them well rounded. I never understood why most complain about filler when in the majority of other romances, we spend the ENTIRE time reading about the characters worrying about if, "Does X love me, does X love me not?" It's nice seeing them as normal people with lives.

I thought it was a pretty good chapter, especially seeing Seol-a trying to cope with the news that Yu-ji is dead. It seems that Seol-a might be coming to terms that she may have had more feelings for Yu-ji that she buried deep down and now are boiling to the surface.

madlax232

I think ch. 44 is the first chapter I don't like haha. It felt more like a filler and the only 'relevant' thing was the inter monologue of Seol-A. I wasn't expecting a fluffy chapter again though, ssamba likes to troll haha. Anyway nothing much to comment on this chapter, only the fact that Seol-A is still hurt by the fact that Yu-Ji might be dead. It's totally fine imo. She was her friend and maybe her first crush and now she finds out she is dead, it's shocking.

I think Ji-Hwan is going to notice something between Seol-A and No-Rae in the next chapter. He knows Seol-A a lot and maybe he is going to see her blush, etc. I think someone is going to realize they like each other before they confess to each other.

I personally think he's noticed Seol-a and No-rae developing feelings between each other for quite some time now. When he confessed, I think he was making a preemptive strike on No-rae in an attempt to beat Seol-a to the punch and hopefully confuse No-rae enough to get her to accept his offer or, maybe just plant that seed of doubt. Ji-hwan's a pretty astute man so I've suspected that he's known that Seol-a and No-rae were becoming attracted to each other romantically before both women realized what was happening themselves. But, I think he's accepted the fact that Seol-a and No-rae will become a couple at some point and that, he might even drop hints to both of them to get things moving as it's pretty clear (to me) he's moved on from No-rae.

Anyway, another week for us to wait. Thanks again for the translation Halmoni :D

Indeed and x1000 Halmoni.

i thought of the Librarian while reading.

LOL, I agree with this description of RandomReader

The "Librarian"?? Need an explanation.

When I was 16 I took a summer course at a JC and my classmates thought I was 21-24 years old!! Then when I turned 21 people thought I was 28-31.

I'm not sure where to start...the fact that you took a college class at 16 or the fact that you always appeared much older than you actually were (must have been great for buying alcohol though)

It was for sign language of all things lol. And yup, though, I don't drink actually so I never had to worry about buying alcohol ;)

@ Hypocritical Liar & Blackkitty - When I was 16 I took a summer course at a JC and my classmates thought I was 21-24 years old!! Then when I turned 21 people thought I was 28-31. I seriously don't get it shakes head. At least it's nice knowing some others are around my age here lol.

@ ChocolateCakeLover - O_o... yeeeaaah you can lol. You can automate everything if you want or you can micromanage the hell outta it. Honestly, I just have the AI oversee a few things and have notifications turned on when they want to do something. There are two sides to the game. You have the private sector which functions independently from the public sector, i.e. the government, which is you. It's a very complicated game lol and took me a few weeks before I got the hang of it! And lmao I play with pirates off, they are the real assholes. The Shakturi are just your average day galactic conquerors. They are no different from the Sith, the Reapers, the Borg, the Tyranids, Orks, Chaos, Imperium of Man, and etc. Just misunderstood space conquerors trying to help fellow civilizations live peacefully as tiny little atoms or smouldering ruins.

Figured I'd drop some info here...

Male (for those who don't know)

From the States.

Got tired of wading through het romance mangas and finally made the full move over to Yuri and pretty much read this site save for a few series here and there that are recommended to me. Used to lurk Dynasty for a what felt like, several years or more before joining when they were going to stop scanlating to voice my thanks. Lurked more before starting to post more regularly (though I actually lost my password -_- ).

Am nerd. Play Table Top RPGs, boardgames, collect artbooks, read graphic novels, read history books, sci-fi and fantasy books, play table top miniature wargames (WH40K, WHFB, and Warmachine), read user created stories about Warhammer 40K, Warhammer, and Mass Effect, love Star Wars (BRING BACK MARA JADE!!!), and listen to lots of soundtracks.

Adore cats and dogs.

Play lots of video games (currently playing Deponia, Metroid Prime, Wind Waker, Dawn of War, and Distant Worlds Universe).

Watch anime, movies, TV shows, and lots of National Geographic and other nature docs.

Favorite musicians are the PIllows, Nujabes, Joseph Jacobs, Jeremy Soule, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and genres are Jazz, jazzy hip-hop (or jazzy beats as I like to term it), old school love songs from the era of swing to the 70's, and Let's Stay Together is my all-time favorite song ever.

Am an archivist and historian based on the degrees I have earned thus far ;p...

27 years old (though most think I look a helluva lot older than I really am... like 36 or some shit O_o....)

And for the record, Fog Horn Leg Horn for president and Bugs Bunny as his vice presidential running mate for 2016.

So yeah, sup.

Octave discussion 31 Aug 00:32

I'm conflicted about Octave. Although I can empathize with the characters, I'm not even sure it's about a woman loving another woman.

It's more about Yukino's growth as a person able to stand on her own two feet and not depending on others to fawn on her to exist. If Setsuko had been a man, most of the story could have been the same. The social stigma of "being a lesbian" is never really adressed.

And the Shiori character is just bleh. I didn't understand her purpose or her attitude when Yukino tells her she's living with her girlfriend. She seem to be jealous of Yukino's happiness and resent the fact that she didn't really suffer. So she calls her "boring" and hurt her. I found Shiori came accross as a bitch. The only genuinely strong female character is Mika.

So, praise to Octave for bringing us a grown up story for grown ups, but some of it look unclear to me. The motivations of some of the characters are muddy at best and never really explained.

How have I missed this post?! You nailed it Nya.

i'm a little confused about why seol-a says "I'm terrible, aren't I...? You're probably shocked at how utterly terrible I am, right?"

is it because she seemed kind of demanding when she said she wanted to sleep over at no-rae's? like something along the lines of needing to have things her way or something? 'cause it didn't really seem too much like that to me and that doesn't warrant her claiming she's "utterly terrible" that no-rae must be shocked. am i missing something or just being stupid and not reading carefully enough?

@ seolrae

Nah, probably something to do with them both being women.

Please tell me I'm not the only one fist pumping at the end there??

Now for the next few chapters of subtle flirtations, some denial, No-rae flashing back to her previous torrid love affair when she cues on the fact that Seol-a actually likes her back as well, followed by FINALLY watching them slowly hook-up over the next several chapters...Then we celebrate and make plenty of sacrifices in the hopes of watching them continue to grow as a couple.

Also, was I the only one wondering this chapter if Hye-kyung knows No-rae has a bit of a thing for Seol-a??

Wow... almost didn't realize the new release today. Nearly completely forgot! =S

Well all I can say is.... this was quite the leap from the last chapter but I'm sure things are explained away in the text. Looking forward to the translation.

@Nezchan In total agreement. I personally it encourages more mature/adult yuri series and stories than the usual school girl stuff (why do I always say that, facepalms). Overall I think it'll do wonders and after seeing that sign in the station a few pages back.... there is the tentative hope that it could get a live action series..... tentatively speaking... I mean hoping.

That reminds me, I still have to get around to watching Daughters of Club Bilitis. Are there other good lesbian K-Dramas?

Apparently I do as well!... Also, seconded.

Damn... that was pretty rough for Seol-a through and through. I also don't think that ex-friend of hers handled that situation very well either but then again, I wouldn't know the best way to bring up that kind of history without it going badly to some degree.
