interesting that the gardener mentioned naughty kids who put strange objects on their heads. it implies that people in the simulation were able to effect it before what sis did, though perhaps only subconsciously. i wonder if this was the source of all the weirdness that existed even before

just treat it as a manga with cute girls doing cute things. I honestly know nearly nothing about horoscope - hell I can't even remember all of the names. Still love this though.

agreed.

i will say though that the revelation that they are ordinary girls who were made to change their names puts a very different and potentially sinister spin on things.

kinda weird that people are calling shiho 'irredeemable" because she's been kind of a bitch a few times and messed with the MCs. she's not murdered anyone (yet). like, that's her role in the story, we'll see where it goes.

have we seen the junior who likes iku before? it's been long enough that i only really remember the main 5 tbh.

i get why some people would have preferred to see some dating, though i personally don't mind it when stories end like this. overall, a fun and cute story. i like sonomi and sakura together.

Seriously, am I the only one wondering what Ai's problem is lately? This is supposed to be the developed relationship ... the one that began so looong ago with all that boob-fondling and nipple-flashing. Why does she seem to be getting more bashful about everything lately?

to be fair to her the tone of the series has changed somewhat in that time. which is kind of a meta point i guess but hey.

anyway, always nice to see a bit of mariri and mayuyu!

I wonder if miss mangaka will ever see that her friend is literally Doujima Taiga without ears and a different hair color. Like, they look exactly the same.

there was a time where it seemed like the friend already knew and wasn't telling for some reason, but i think that looks less likely now.

a lot of people sure are wondering why watanabe has to be like this when thats literally the premise of the whole manga

A series in my opinion shouldn't limit it's self to just it's premise, but aspire to grow beyond it and into something greater. If it simply sticks to the premise then it limits it's self on where it can go, and it can become stagnant.

Sometimes it's fine for an author to stick to their premise, but I genuinely think this should branch out more and go past it.

fair, i completely agree in fact. there have certainly been a few yuri mangas that got a bit tired doing the same gag over and over without development. it is only chapter 7 tho, and there has been some progress, albeit mostly on yoshioka's side.

the author has done such a great job of making komachi a mystery, there are hints here and there but she's so enigmatic i have no idea if she's just a bit eccentric or possibly the big bad of the whole series

I kinda don't like this whole rebellion thing being caused by some random third party and not, y'know, an organic result of a genuine class conscious taking form.

don't look up what happened in russia from 1917 to 1922

Ofercrissakes, like the Russian revolution was the only example of class struggle in history. Here's a clue: Unless you're very very rich, nearly every good thing you have, you have because of successful class struggle. Less than a 12 hour day? Class struggle. The weekend? Class struggle. Wages good enough to let you afford whatever you're using to post stuff on the interwebs? Class struggle. The vote? Class struggle. Look up the history of trade unions, or the Chartist movement, sometime.
Of course a lot of the good stuff class struggle got us has been getting taken away lately . . . because of class warfare from the other direction.

I think they were referring to the "third party component" coming into play because a large part of the October Revolution actually happening was due to the Germany's assistance in getting Lenin (and a whole other bunch of other socialist revolutionaries) back into Russia earlier that year (of 1917) after his exile from Russia since the end of the 19th century. Germany doing this in an attempt to destabilise the already falling apart Romanov Dynasty (which it did) and have a new government sign to a more favourable peace treaty to end hostilities (which happens in the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk). Details might be a little suspect as this was what I recalled from a unit from Mod History in high school and a couple extra supplementary details/checks with the good old google. Just an interesting tidbit of one of the biggest turning points for history in the 20th century.

Or this went completely over my head and they're just referring to the Bolsheviks as the third party and separate to the actual working classes/peasants, with them mostly instigating everything up to the end of the Russian Civil War since the above commenter mentioned the period of 1917 - 1922.

Besides history, it's interesting to see quite a few people saying they're dropping this due to the direction change from slice-of-life to a more politically driven/drama plot. Obviously people read what they want to read, but personally, even though I like slice-of-life a lot as a genre, many of those fall into stagnation and end up sort of melding with each other in my memory as I struggle to differentiate between them due to usage of common events. Of course, all genres have their tropes which they use but slice-of-life tends to be the most narrow in scope and hence repetitive. So for me, this change of direction is quite refreshing and has piqued my interest towards this series much more than before (even though I knew it would go into that direction at some point, although not this early honestly).

to be fair there's a big difference between the general idea of outside forces meddling in class struggle, which is always going to happen in the messy real world, and depicting that struggle as the result of 'outside agitators' instigating antagonism between classes, which is usually an ahistorical and ideologically centrist position.

with that said, this manga has already established the pre-existing class antagonisms, so i don't really think it's particularly guilty in this regard.

Gay people: It's none of your business what two consenting adults do in private together. We have the freedom to live how we want. Love wins!

siblings love each other

Gay people: wait no not like that

don't normally comment on this subject anymore but was pretty sad to see the tl afterword

are you seriously equating being gay with being incestuous? come on

I love the art, but I'm having a hard time enjoying their dynamic so far unfortunately. It feels a bit like someone that doesn't know how to say no and put up boundaries, and someone that knows how to take advantage of that... I know the intentions are mostly "tease my crush". But here's a certain frustrating weird roundaboutness to what's happening and some of it comes off as a bit mean spirited to me, even if it's not intentional.

I'm hoping things progress into a more organic relationship between them, where it feels like the power of the dynamic is balanced a little better in the future.

i agree, it does feel a bit much, almost cruel. before the plot became more established i even thought this might be some kind of revenge story or something. the role reversal doesn't quite work either since we've never really even seen the supposedly cool ladykiller chaeyeon. i kinda want seungha to get taken down a notch at this point.

art is still beautiful tho and i'm into the overall premise.

dunno if it was the script or the translation but the dialogue felt quite unnatural and almost hard to follow at times. premise seems interesting though, will see where it goes

This gyaru is probably one of the smartest characters ive seen in a school life yuri manga in a long time

ikr, it's like she actually reflects on the things that happen in her life or something
