you guys really took this line about sexual thing going on with the bite too far into nonsensical delusions fueled by each other.

Especially considering that the manga itself did not even hint at such extremes these delusions have taken things to.

To be expected from dynasty scans comment sections, not really surprised.

There's really no need to call people out and rudely dismiss what they say as delusions, especially when they actually tried to lay out where they're coming from + it didn't even seem vitriolic in any way (which is more than I can say about others). I had to double-check to see that this really is the comments section of a manga tagged with 'comedy' and yet quite a few of these comments have no chill.

I gotta say the "OMG THERE'S A HINT OF TESTOSTERONE IN MY PURE ESTROGEN FANTASY!" complaints are kind of odd.

Not really; it's par for the course at this point. I knew right as soon as this guy was introduced to have a fairly major role here that there are going to be comments being overly cautious about him. They're not exactly unfounded due to the nature of this genre and how it uses male characters but obviously the comments are still ridiculous.

It is basically only thing they write on forum though. And it isn't just them. So many people here are so quit to "save" us disappointed informing us how different shows aren't going to end in yuri. The best example was Swap Swap discussion thread for good several pages instead of talking about characters, parings and manga in general it was full of people trying to convince us that this isn't yuri, girls are not gay and there is no way it will ever go full gay. Especially arguments how it wasn't published in yuri magazine hence there is 0% chance for it going yuri were seriously annoying. So yes at this point it is only annoying and I completely agree with Chantelune that I came here to discuss yuri and not to keep on hearing like nothing is yuri nowadays.

Haha, why am I the one being replied to? I'm not denying that there are people who do those things or how annoying they can be for others. Heck, I was just pointing out the misnomer "running joke" when koneko didn't seem to be joking. That's it really. And now it somehow came to this.

Er, she has to be kidding though, right? I don't know why this needs to be said, but I feel like the usual thing to be disappointed at is the opposite actually. Isn't developing genuine feelings for a fictional character something most people would find disappointing instead of the other way around? But hey, whatever floats people's boats. Nothing immediately harmful or wrong with developing feelings for a body pillow or an op-π mouse pad.

Nice, that new Ghost in the Shell movie trailer is further solidifying the fact that they fully plan to butcher whatever theme/tone the source material had.

Heh, I do get where you people are coming from, it's just pretty funny that that statement from koneko is what caused this little tangent to happen. I'm not saying this in any absolute way, but I don't think yuri can die in Little Witch when it wasn't even alive in the first place.

lol, that's the point I was trying to make. It wasn't a running joke and it seemed to be serious, and that's why I made light fun of it.

Frankly I'm already tired of this running joke of "yuri is dead", "yuri is dead". If it's already dead, how the heck can it die again 1 week later. And then die again every week after that. Zombie yuri?

What running joke are you even talking about? Koneko was just saying the usual exaggerated presence of het in the current season's shows and I was being facetious about it.

Also if we must actually take this seriously, the yuri is dead is referring to a particular show's yuri, so it can die multiple times without contradiction.

Well, for anyone who was somehow worried that Shadows of Pygmalion is going to be as tame(for a lack of a better word) as AoiShiro since they're both action yuri VNs: don't be, the demo alone is incredibly laden with yuri. Then again, it could be a case of all of the yuri being focused on these first moments and there would barely be anything after this.

For example, I did a spit-take with my tea when this dialogue was said in the demo; I did not expect her to say that:

Other than the yuri, pretty much everything else seems to be superior than Aoishiro. Production Values are pretty top-tier like their other work Tokyo Babel, soundtrack is good, apparently an all-star voice cast, and like Tokyo Babel this has an interesting premise.

Haven't been this impressed with a yuri VN for the longest time. It's probably because out of all the recent yuri VNs that I've played, this one felt closest to what traditional visual novels are like. To put it briefly, it feels like a visual novel with heavy yuri elements instead of a visual novel revolving around the yuri itself. I mean, off the top of my head, the recent big yuri VN releases all had stories that revolved around the yuri present in them: Kindreds, Flowers, Nurse, Sono Hanabira.

Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot that Ne No Kami was another action yuri VN that was released, and recently too. The demo alone of Pygmalion was better than that VN by a mile and I say that as one of the indiegogo backers of Ne No Kami.

Yeah, and I'm still salty af about Gay Figure Skater Anime taking the word "yuri" and associating it with boys in people's minds. That's our word! We need it!

Ain't it great when you try to use the word "yuri" to search for such content in tumblr only to get more yuri on ice than actual yuri? It's pretty amusing.

For yuri anime movies, there's Harmony by Project Itoh. It's sci-fi, and an enjoyable enough work to watch, but it's one of those things that's much better to think about rather than actually watch because of the ideas that it presents. And it does have a confession in there...except the scene itself where it takes place is not exactly the typical scenario for a confession to take place.

Kasumi's sis really dropped the anvil there that should really be in every narrative based around relationships by now. Too bad so many authors seem clueless as to how to create good relationship drama without the old "confusing your lover's public face with their private face" trope.

That's why it's so good. It was clearly going down the route of that trope, but then suddenly her sister just steered the entire manga into the proper logical direction/conclusion that one would normally take.

It's so close. This one has been sitting in the oven for quite a while.

Nights of Azure has actual yuri when compared to the Atelier series.

So Nights of Azure and Atelier Sophie are out on PC 30 minutes ago according to Steam's twitter account. If anybody actually bothers to play the PC version, please do tell if the port is actually fairly decent. (and by decent it should be at least 60 fps with proper resolution options)
