Hey mvl, yeah I couldn't sleep much at all last night so here I am. It's a little early for breakfast but I'm at the point where I might as well just start the day.

Im good. I could use more sleeping time though xD.. Thought the new stay would improve that, but I still need to be up pretty early. That aside, it's great I'm not into exam-despair mode.

Lol I wish I could get more sleep, too. You've probably mentioned, but what's your new stay? Pediatrics? Felt like that's what you said but it's early and I'm already a forgetful person.

Yeah in my old age, waiting in crowded lines has lost its charm. Once upon a time I liked to go to midnight showings with friends and it was genuinely a fun thing for all of us waiting there for hours and seeing all the other people practically snoozing on the pavement until about an hour beforehand and all the sudden there's so much energy and hype. Now I'm thinking that if I want to see the movie within a week or two of opening, the only way we can get into an uncrowded theater is if kanojo calls in a sick day during the week lol...

Re-reading before the new chapter tomorrow and wondering if there's a reason why after chapter 2 Mel's hair usually looks like it's been dipped in sunshine lol? It seems very intentional so I'm curious if she got it dyed some time during chapter 3, or if it's just that once Lynn comes into her life she gains a magical lesbian halo.

I love this interpretation xD but I think it's just how Ratana's idea of Mel character evolved. You can see that on bios she had brown hair for example ;)

Ah okay so it's just that we're getting closer to what the characters will look like in the rest of the series. Until proven otherwise, I'll pretend like it's a physical manifestation of her love for Lynn. By the time they finally get it on, Mel will be a blonde xD :P

I just thought being 25 is a good age to be independent. You are old enough to take care of yourself. I don't know about others but that is just how i felt after 24. The more i think about the more i just get confused hahaha...so ...dot dot dot from here on.

Haha I see. Yeah I wanted to be financially independent very early on so it's been quite awhile since I relied on anybody (my parents...) for money. I think it's important for people to have the means to take care of themselves, but that doesn't mean a partner can't lighten the load or at least do something special for you once in awhile, like the things you wouldn't get or do for yourself but that are really nice when someone else does.

I think it's nice to be fed by your special someone. However i am a very simple gal. I get easily pleased. Don't like sweet talk. Don't care about gifts. My brother-in-law used to send my sister 2 dozens of roses that costing over $200. I l thought it was a waste of money. They spent thousands on diamond rings which i don't understand why. Diamonds are just some white stones.

What is being sweet like or feels like? Hmmm. Maybe i am too simple that everything is just the same to me.

Regarding food i rather just eat whatever i can buy at the store.

Super extra low maintenance haha. I'm sure someone out there would really appreciate that, but others have a hard time with someone they feel like they can't do anything for. I know I had a period with kanojo where I was really trying to fend off how much she doted on me with monetary things, but it's rough seeing her look sad if I tell her no to everything. Some people just want to provide that way and they'll be more disappointed if you don't want/like anything in particular. I still give her a hard time about how spendy she can be, but certain stuff is just not worth pushing back. She works really hard and makes a lot of money and likes to use it.

Yeah that person got to love me through feeding me with delicious food. Rice with water is unacceptable. I think the other person needs some whipping and spanking more than i do.

Winning someone over with food is totally legitimate :P I mean it can't be everything, but food is a big part of some people's lives. My best friend has more than once told me the thing she misses most about when we went out was that I fed her more back then lol.

I sort of agree with Mvl, actually. Forehead kisses are a pretty standard thing to do. They're sweet at first, but you get used to them (both giving them as well as receiving them) pretty quickly. XD

Personally, I'm a verbal and vocal type of person, so words and voices have a much bigger impact on me than any gestures. XD For instance, I find Lin's drowsy voice extremely comforting and I love how she's not calling me "baby" or "babe" or "sweetie" or something similar. I kinda have an aversion to nicknames that sound like you're being coddled >.< She doesn't do that, which makes me feel respected, which is awesome. XD Also, I think there's something more endearing about being called "darling" and "my love." My older sister actually calls her boyfriend "sweetcheeks." Every time I watch them together for a few minutes, I feel like my bone marrow might turn into sugar any moment. They're so sickeningly sweet with each other, it's actually disgusting. DX

Lol sweetcheeks... I don't mind being called babe, but maybe I don't associate it with being coddled. My younger brother and his girlfriend call each other baby in the most horrendous way possible. My older brother and I want to die every time we witness it. Cringing now just thinking about it. Kanojo's the type that's always out to please, which as it turns out, I like a tease haha. Verbally and physically. I'm a pretty shitty romantic when it comes to names (and most other stuff...). I call her by her name, which is very pretty, or "red" (her hair xD).

Lol that's really a lot... Like birthday and anniversary, not that hard to manage. But 100 days and the match matchy items I'd find really difficult. But who knows; those are cultural standards so if you grow up with everyone thinking it's cute and normal it's a different story. I'm not above the occasional sentimental item or gesture I suppose.

And in Korea, couple culture is like a huuuuuuge thing. They're always wearing matching clothes, hats, shoes, bags, rings, etc. Always celebrating every 100 days, going to lovey dovey spots and blah. Koreans just really love to show off that they're in a relationship lol so something like buying couple rings usually isn't really considered that huge of a deal. Well for people in their mid- late 20's it might be cause it's kind of a prelude to marriage but yeah.

Yeah I mean depending on when it was in my life I wanted to try to make a relationship work or I just wanted sex. Some people I met I just knew it wasn't going to go anywhere, but the interest was still there so it's better to make it obvious what I wanted. Some people act like they're totally fine with someone who's only interested in a physical relationship or a one night stand and then they end up hurt because they're not honest. Those are usually the worst situations. I found that as I got older I was actually running into that type of thing more instead of less and I started to realize that I needed to tone it down. Then I dated 3 back to back nut jobs followed by my best friend looool. Not good.

I thought your sarcastic comment was a biting way of dissing Thiaguinho, so if I was wrong about that then sorry. It was also a political reference, and the comments I loathe here the most are ones that bring up the current presidential candidates in my country, so there was some bias there as well. Again, if you were someone I were familiar with, either from this thread or the on-topic thread, I probably would have taken it differently, but on your 2nd comment here you thought it humorous to bring up a Hill and Trump supporter comment.
