Hmm, my excitement this week seems to be tempered, so I guess, at least on a subconscious level, I agree with y'all (or it might be smaller because I know I'm not going to be able to read this chapter until like three hours after it comes out).
I think a flashback would be "worse case" scenario...as in, moonfrost13's prediction would come through and we'd have 0 current development.
takachi:
Also wonder what day of the week it is in FF? Do they need to go to uni or it's a weekend?
It was Sunday when No-rae realized her feelings, and then at least two days passed where No-rae was avoiding Seol-a. Seol-a hadn't actually seen No-rae on the let's-get-drunk-with-Kyung-Woo! day, until she ran into her eating lunch. We know from the previous chapters than they have class together [at some point in the day] every day, so I think it's safe to assume that it was Wed. Which would make "today" Thurs...and I think they have class in the morning and not the afternoon. So that means if Seol-a actually shows up (she might oversleep), there will definitely be some awkwardness (because if she doesn't oversleep, I'm willing to bet someone else's arm and leg that they'll both run into each other 'late').

winter
white? Eh? Why? XD
Thank you for loving it. ^^ I will continue doing fanarts until FF ends.♪
I'm not sure...I think because where I'm at, it's been snowing all winter....so apparently winter and white are synonymous now haha.
and yay!! that is freaking awesome. :3
Halmoni:
FF is the #1 webtoon on comico, but I don't think it's super popular compared to other webtoons in general. Manhwa like "Cheese in the Trap" consistently get 20-30k ratings per chapter, while FF gets around 5-6k. I'm guessing yuri just isn't the most happening thing in Korea (like many other countries), although it's great that FF is as popular as it is right now.
I love Cheese in the Trap!! I think there are a few similarities between FF and Cheese, which might be why I love both, I think (ya know, besides the fact that both are bloody well written). But, the two are significantly different as well, so who knows lol.
xyth:
Agreed, and also from the part when Kyung-woo said they should go somewhere (i think someone mentioned this earlier) and she diverted the topic (saying how cute he is..i don't know if i get that part right). And then she said she's thristy maybe to have a chance to call No-rae. It might be like Seol-A got cold water poured onto her head (not literally, like an alert signal has been raised) thus sobering her up a bit to make that call. Not that she wants to go home, she looked like she does just need a chaperone so that something bad can be avoided. But she's clearly drunk.
Haha, yes I completely agree with this! Exactly what I was thinking :)
Let's be positive :) i think this is some sort of build up for the next chapter. And i cannot help but to create scenarios in my head again.
Hmm...yes, I suppose so! I'll have to convince myself (somehow).
xyth:
I think that "Ah" part is for Kyung-woo's realization that he's been found out.
halmoni:
It was more like a late reaction to what No-rae said. He realized "Oh. I've been discovered. That's what she was talking about."
Oh wow, I think y'all are right. doh. Thanks y'all :)
moonfrost13:
So close! You were almost spot on with your headcanon prediction. Darn, how did Seol-a manage to tell her the passcode when she was barely conscious? haha. But, I'm still very happy with the outcome. Which room they ended up in isn't as important as the two of them being together in it.
I have to admit, No-rae made me swoon in this chapter. When Kyung-woo tried to evade revealing their location, you could feel all of the delicious tension the moment she said his full name. And that glare she shot him... <3
If Seol-a doesn't remember what happened I would be a little disappointed. Though I assume the memory would come back to her at some point. But, I much prefer the idea that she's fully aware of everything and wakes up completely horrified by her behavior, not knowing how to approach No-rae after all of the embarrassing things she put her through. XP
I don't know!! I'm was sooo disappointed (but in a good way lol). But maybe Seol-a had told her the passcode prior, just in case something like the strangling incident happened again?
Haha, No-rae was extremely badass. I was so impressed with her. And oh gosh!! I didn't even think of that. Now, I really want it to happen. I can just imagine an embarrassed Seol-a...and if No-rae continues to semi-avoid her, then I can't wait to see if that would exacerbate her behavior or, at least, how it would modify it.
moonfrost13:
I was expecting No-rae to show up beforehand but, I think I prefer this development. I know some of the comments here wanted No-rae to come save the day, while others wished Seol-a could get out of the dangerous situation herself. And ssamba managed to give us both. And I think realistically it made sense since most of us wouldn't run around an area, searching for our friend, who may or may not be in trouble. Since our worries could be chalked up to an overactive imagination. So having Seol-a actually call and hearing how wasted she was, that was a plausible tipping point to move No-rae into action.
Oh, you have a point! I know I definitely wouldn't...well that just significantly reduced my disappointment haha. :) Thanks. Ssamba did give us the best of both worlds!
moonfrost13:
I'm eager to see what develops next, though I'm also bracing my heart for it. I feel ssamba has a two steps forward, one step back pattern. Whenever there's a chapter that gets everyone excited and believing things will proceed full speed ahead with further positive developments, the opposite occurs. As if ssamba is saying, "I gave you fluff in the previous chapter, now here have some angst." :P
UGH. NO. DON'T SAY SUCH THINGS. That would mean like zero development next chapter. orz
winter: (oops, I called you white for some reason. fixed).
I srsly love your fanart!! Especially the last one anon posted!

NoRaeMi
Incidentally, I don't think Seol-a was in danger of being taken advantaged of.
I agree with reasons 1-3, but that's because Seol-a wouldn't let herself be taken advantage of, not because Kyung-woo wouldn't try anything. As for point 4, I agree and disagree with this.I don't think he'd rape and assault her, but I do think he'd persuade her enough so that she, in her drunken state, would finally agree -- i.e. taken advantage of. So not rape in the conventional sense, although by American standards, this would still qualify as rape.
Furthermore, I do think she was in danger of being taken advantage of, solely because of what they said.
If you're a real man, don't resort to shameful tactics. -No-rae
..I've been found out. -Kyung-woo
So he really was planning on getting her drunk in order to persuade her to sleep with him. [And, I mean, there are subtle clues that were suggested. No-rae said that he didn't look drunk at all, and Kyung-woo responded by saying that he couldn't handle alcohol well. Really? Really player?]
And what's worse, he's not even reflecting on being such an ass!hat, but rather, he's upset because it's "fucking embarrassing." So he's not reflecting on it being wrong, he's reflecting on getting caught. I honestly think he's a much more dangerous person than his appearance suggests. Seriously, I just want to pull a No-rae and hit him with a bat.

@prisoner:
I definitely agree with you (on the second part anyways hah). When I read it without the translations, I thought she was just petting Seol-a because she "couldn't keep her feelings in check." I suppose I should have given her more credit, since she did restrain herself in virtually the last panel.
@palakangorange
Heh, well that made just made my day. C: Glad you enjoy my posts! [And I totally hear you on the exams (tho I'm not sure how you have one on Saturday), I just had a killer one this past week].
@halmoni:
THANK YOU!!! Super fast, super good, just like Jimmy John's! (American reference, sorry y'all!).
In other news:
I'm a tad disappointed that, had Seol-a not called, No-rae wouldn't have even gone looking for her (it looks like). I would have rather her shown up in the wrong place (or at least called her again) than the fact that Seol-a had to call her before No-rae did anything.
That being said, does anyone think Seol-a actually knew what Kyung-Woo was trying to do, when he said, "Shall we rest somewhere....?" Because I feel like that was why she called No-rae (in this regard, I'm pleased...because if it's true, Seol-a was almost as responsible for not being taken advantage of as No-rae was), although her original intention was just to get No-rae to go along with her...not take her home. One of my secondary reasons for thinking like that is because of this panel:
Her expression is really serious....I don't know about y'all, but when I'm calling someone I really like talking to (like my best friend from forever), I'm all smiles. And if I'm drunk, well them I'm grinning from ear to ear. This serious expression says a lot (to me, anyways....she's basically drunk enough to not be able to walk anywhere -- i.e. crouching on the ground and demanding a drink -- yet still has enough wits about her to get out her phone, unlock it, find No-rae's number and call her -- which I definitely can't do nearly as smoothly, if at all, when I'm drunk).
Even in the panels leading up to this...it seems like Seol-a was protecting herself. For example, the eyes comment -- she knew she couldn't tell what he was thinking.
Second Note:
Does anyone know what that whole license plate thing was about?
"Ah. (small text): XX77.. (t/n: license plate of the taxi)"
I don't understand why that's an ah-ha moment....was there something I missed?
Third Note:
I'm actually really sad about this chapter, now that I know what they're saying. I feel really bad for No-rae...because she literally said:
Like a fool...
I couldn't even keep my own feelings in check..
I think she's referring to the fact that she thinks she misunderstood (when, we know in fact, that she most certainly did not) Kyung-woo's intentions, and lashed out at him. She's regretting her actions and punishing herself, when she has no idea how heroic she actually was. Argh. Poor No-Rae. I'm wondering how long she's going to have to suffer with this and to how far her self-punishment will escalate. She wouldn't even let herself touch Seol-a in the last panel.

wow. halmoni are you superwoman or something. -tips non-existant hat-
Based on google translate, I think it's requesting that Comico release time goes back to 11 pm Sunday korean time.
craptree:
Damn, you could be right. Then we, I mean No-rae would have made no progress at all. Dammit.
Hah, YES. Part of me hopes No-rae will do the -decent- thing and stick around, but I think she'd only stick around long enough to make sure Seol-a didn't have alcohol poisoning. :( I mean, I can imagine the fear of being 'confronted' should she get caught, so that's the understandable response, anyways. I just don't know what will end up weighing more.
1) The need to make sure that Seol-a's completely okay, which leads to No-rae staying up until the point Seol-a's awake.
or
2) The need to make sure that Seol-a's more than likely going to be okay, and then the horror of having that convo outweighing her need for 100% absolute certainty leads to her departure. aka: No-rae stays for a period of time, and departs like a ghost, leaving Seol-a confused (or, what would be more interesting, remembering everything) upon awakening .
last edited at Apr 12, 2015 6:07PM
So, it looks like somehow, No-rae got into Seol-a's apartment...[unfortunately]. I was hoping that [should No-rae have to drag Seol-a back to her own apartment] next week we could have the convo, but I guess now Seol-a's just going to wake-up (without remembering anything) and try to figure out how she got home. She'll probably talk to Kyung-woo who will tell her No-rae showed up. Then next week's chapter will probably end with some sort of confrontation and I'll be impatiently waiting the chapter after orz
last edited at Apr 12, 2015 5:29PM
Last week I stalked the release up until the last second. Literally at 6:00:00 the chapter was up, which is worrisome.
EDIT: JK CUE MASSIVE FANGIRLING
EDIT 2: UGH. Head!canon was THIS close to coming true. ACTUALLY. LIES. Basically all of it came true!
palakangorange
I'm no Keiko but ahem well, are you done stretching? You better not [Ra]n ok?
LMAO. Nice. Nice. Touche.
moonfrost13:
I actually have been working on a short fan comic (unfortunately, not of that scenario since I started it before this last chapter). I'm 3 panels away from having it completely sketched out. But, reading comics does not make one an expert in creating them so the result could very well be crappy. lol. Nothing like trying. Though I wish I made it simpler. All of these poses are killing me.
Thank you. :) Just like your icon (which I love), I needed to do something artistic to vent my Kyung-woo induced rage.
Haha, thank you too. :D And YES. Stupid Kyung-woo. He got a good trash talking this chapter. >:D I'm super excited about this fan comic!!
All of this suspense is killing me!!! I want next week to come stat!
Side Note:
Ya know, whenever I read in books about people's hearts' being tight and swelling with warmth and happiness and stuff, I always thought it was a load of crap. But damn it, if that organ doesn't feel super warm and tight at this moment.
Super Side Note:
Halmoni, you've got skills too (Y) (Y) (Y) (Y). It's like you, littleyuri (Btw I totally saw your sketches and they're awesome!) and MoonFrost are almost single-handedly contributing to the fandom community.
Triple Super Side Note:
The spazziness of this post is kind of sad lol. It's totally all over the place. (You totally can't read my excitement at all)

HypocriticalLiar:
I only remembered it was an electronic lock because I've watched too many K-dramas and most of them have those instead of regular locks with keys. lol. I hope so. The scenario seems too perfect to pass up. But, regardless, it's a fun headcanon. If it doesn't actually occur in the manhwa it makes me wish a fan fic or fan comic would depict it.
Side note:
I just realized that while I love the spelling of Seol-a, I've been saying her name wrong this whole time. And I can't seem to pronounce it the correct way. Something about the "r" sound keeps tripping my tongue up. ^^;Also, I made a thing... It's not a serious attempt at fan art. haha.
http://moonfrost13.tumblr.com/post/115842313929/theres-so-much-i-could-say-about-fluttering
Haha one can only hope for fanfics and fancomics (heck, maybe you could do it! -kidding kidding- :P )
Also I seriously love that drawing/art or No-rae. I think it sums up everyone's feelings quite nicely.
Note:
I had no idea that there were so many non-native English speakers....I thought most of y'all were fluent. I suppose that means I might be a terrible native speaker (but I'd prefer to think y'all were just really good at English lol).
craptree:
And I'm not a native speaker also, so can someone tell me what: If that bastard doesn't let loose over there, we can say he's completely crazy. means in this context?
trafi:
Not native speaker either but I suppose that mean if he keep going with his act and manage to restrain himself from taking her to bed then he's crazy. Means as a sane man, he will definitely try to jump her >.>
I take this "let loose" as "stop acting the dumb guy without ulterior motive and go for it"
I think this is what you (trafi) said, but yeah, the way I interpreted it was that -- if Kyung-woo doesn't follow through on seducing Seol-a when he has all the opportunity in the world, then he's crazy. (i.e. There's no reason (as in, there's nothing preventing him...no cock!block so to speak) for him not to do it, so he'd be insane to not "take her" so to speak).

BTW, randomly,
HypocriticalLiar,
did you make your current avatar yourself?Did you really take that phone picture from chapter 29 and Photoshop out Gyeong-woo, lol?
....Well yes. >____> I wasn't planning on doing it until I read halmoni's translation. This was kind of my way of exacting a secret (I also didn't really think anyone would notice haha, I tend to forget what panels look like myself) revenge.
aka I really liked the way Seol-a looked in the picture, and I was kind of hating on the dude quite a lot so I figuratively/literally erased his existence. ^^;;
halmoni:
Honestly, I like it when people have cute or feminine voices. Better than sounding like a 13 year old boy going through puberty lol
lmao! you definitely didn't sound like a boy to me. idk. maybe it's that thing where people here their own voices differently when recorded and played back.
nya-chan:
I agree guys are often disguting when they come in group. Groups of girls can be scary too though.
But since I suppose you didn't harbor romantic feelings for said friend, I don't see why you should have been involved. It doesn't make you a bad person to not meddle in someone else's life.
I KNOW. Which is kinda sad, because the people I usually get along with the easiest are guys...and yet some of them are just so urgh. [I do tend to stay away from groups of girls though...I often find I can't relate at all.]
I appreciate you saying that. :) I can't help but feel I should have done something though...but at least it all worked out in the end.

Thank you for posting the link Trafi! and halmoni, geez, you're just building a legion of followers here haha.
side note on the whole realistic debate: the same thing literally happened to me before. I heard an asshat discussing how he was going to nail a former-friend [he didn't know we knew each other], how he was going to lose his virginity, and where/how he was going to get condoms and high-fiving his friends and all that shite. It was disgusting.
The big difference was that I didn't say anything, like a twit [the only other difference was that he was actually her boyfriend at the time]. At least it seems like No-rae's a much better person than me.
palakangorange:
I'm of similar opinion as yuridaisuki (except I put off studying all day for it instead lol).
huhuhu. I'm really trying to delay gratifications so what I did, I studied for nine hours. Jgh from the lib and now, No-rae ssi, where art thou? I know in that 1 hour gap you'll be able to find Seol-a....
Hah, you need to tell me the secret to your dedication. Or the trick...goodness knows mine could use a good whacking into place.
(She better find Seol-a or imma be pissed)

HypocriticalLiar
LOL. I just want to see what happens when No-rae tries to get a drunk Seol-a home. I'd imagine it'd be extremely funny (since Seol-a would be all over her in the taxi I'm assuming she's taking...idk how poor No-rae will deal with that), especially if she's not able to find Seol-a's keys.
After how nervous and unsettled this cliffhanger has left me, this possibility made me smile. :) She won't need a key since it's an electronic lock but, if Seol-a is too drunk to tell No-rae what the pin number is, then No-rae will have to bring her back to her place (again). haha.
Heh glad to be of service. :3 [And totally forgot it was a electronic lock, but that makes it even better!] Like you said, I reallllly doubt Seol-a will be able to (or purposely won't) tell her, so that she can (attempt to) accost the shorter girl in the latter's apartment. I'm firmly believing this will be canon, and thus eagerly awaiting the next chapter!!
Nyachan
But over-hearing a conversation at the vending machine about precisely the person that's on your mind and what she's doing right now and with who, completely by sheer dumb luck is bit too much for me. It advances the story, okay, but it seems artificial to me.
And I'd rather take the wikipedia definition : a seemingly unsolvable problem is suddenly and abruptly resolved by the contrived and unexpected intervention of some new event, character, ability or object. Depending on how it is done, it can be intended to move the story forward when the writer has "painted himself into a corner" and sees no other way out, to surprise the audience, to bring the tale to a happy ending, or as a comedic device.
It's not the event in itself I criticize. It's the way No-rae is involved in that event.
I'm much with the others on this, but I suppose I'll add in my two cents.
I think you have to take into account the people involved. First, No-rae constantly has Seol-a on her mind. So your point about her overhearing them while she's thinking about Seol-a is kind of moot, so to speak.
The second thing is that Seol-a is the most popular, envied, and lusted after girl in school. Everyone is talking about her. I do agree that it is a coincidence, but really...the school doesn't seem that big (and since I went to an undergrad with 20k+ people, I would know...and even there I had to try to avoid people I didn't want to see). People are going to cross paths frequently. Furthermore, this seems to have taken place at the end of classes, when people are getting ready to go home. No-rae doesn't want to go home, because she's afraid she'll run into Seol-a (I'm assuming, but it would explain why she's sitting there and why she moves to go home after she hears that conversation). All of this considered, I don't think it's that big of a coincidence (and it especially doesn't rise to the level of deus ex machina...but someone else already went into quite a bit of detail on that point, and I completely agree with everything said).

I was curious about it too when it was shown again in today's chapter...So I took a look at the other chapter where Seol-A mentions she's not 'feeling well'. It seems like she says this when she's stressing about No-Rae? In chapter 22, she seems to stress herself out about getting closer to No-Rae. Today's release... well No-Rae's avoiding her.
I'm hoping it's not something big... We can only wait!
halmoni
Yes, Seol-a took a year off for studying abroad. Most of the time when she's "feeling sick," it's because something is negatively affecting her relationship with No-rae. The first time she said it, she was probably worried because Hee-jin told her about how it's difficult to become close to No-rae. And now this time, No-rae's cold shoulder attitude is really straining their relationship. I think her "feeling sick" is more like she's feeling stressed or worried about No-rae.
Random Reader
Agreed about Seol-a feeling sick in regards to her relationship with No-rae. Don't know if anyone else here has gone through that kinda thing but I can tell ya, it's not fun -_- ... so here's to hoping No-rae goes with her gut instinct and rushes to Seol-a's aid! As Soel-a needs a cure and that cure is some No-rae!!
Wow, I must have missed something big time if everyone else seemed to get this, haha. Thank y'all so much for explaining. :)
Actually, now that I think about it, I think what really threw me off was the Hee-jin thing. The time skip, I guess, put some "distance" between Seol-a's musings about No-rae and the whole "meeting" atmosphere, so I promptly forgot about it. Silly me. But yes, that does make sense now! [And here I was trying to come up with a conspiracy Seol-a-is-actually-sick theory ^^;;; ]
[Also, an aside, but yeah, I've never been in love/in like/what have you lol...partly why I'm crazy about romcoms and maybe another reason as to why I completely missed it. It seems so obv now orz]

In the mean time I'm going to let these late night headcanons of mine consume me. Y'know where No-Rae rescues Seol-A with that serious face she makes (which BTW is fucking sexy!) and as a cherry on top, maaaybe threatening the prick to not touch her lady friend.

I'm of similar opinion as yuridaisuki (except I put off studying all day for it instead lol).
And a question that just struck me: Is there something wrong with Seol-a? This is the second time in not so many chapters (but far enough apart where it can't be the same 'cold'] where she's been feeling sick. I remember she also took a year off as well [although it was implied it was for an exchange program?].
I don't think he spiked the drink...I mean, he may be a prick (which I honestly didn't see coming...like his friends said, his looks are really deceiving. He looks innocent), but he still went out to buy condoms (or what I'm assuming were condoms). So he still has some shred of common decency...small things!! He may be a crappy person, but at least he's not criminally deranged (I hope).
EDIT: Scratch that, I'm not sure why I thought buying condoms made him a good person. -_-;
last edited at Apr 5, 2015 8:32PM
thank you halmoni!!! (also lmao. nice)
No-rae's so going to save her, comeon, how can you guys doubt No-rae. That universal signature "aw shit" expression when you don't want to do something but you know you're going to do it anyways.
There was also a timeskip of an hour, so I think that the next chapter will pick up when Kyung-woo is leaving with Seol-a and No-rae finds them.
And if this doesn't happen, I'm going to throw my chair at my computer. Which is saying something because I'm not strong enough [normally] to properly pick my chair up. -_-
[Side note: I was also dying of curiosity as to what No-rae had texted Seol-a. I can't believe it was just, "Don't drink too much alcohol." HOW COULD YOU NO-RAE. WHAT KIND OF WARNING IS THAT.]
last edited at Apr 5, 2015 7:44PM
Yeah, I don't know if it's not dark enough. I mean, that ex of Seol-a's did try to kill her in like the 3rd chapter.
Tiger:
Oh man I hope so. The whole drunk Seol-a business is not looking good if No-rae doesn't come to the rescue.
And whoa, you sure got a lot more out of the raws than I did. Can you read some Korean or something?
Hah nooooo, I wish. The only thing I (think I) can recognize is No-rae's name. I got the condom thing from a combo of google translate and being ridiculously early on the page, before the massive influx of comments started lol.
So as a little buffer period, going to discuss it in bars:
It looks like No-rae was still planning on ignoring Seol-a, but those two friends of the dude were saying something about her? At first I thought she was jealous again, but on second thought, I think she's actually really angry (maybe another "get lucky" comment), which prompts her to call Seol-a (who ignores her lmao...she reminds me of a little kid).
Where did the dude go though? One of the commenters seems like they think he went to buy condoms...That, combined with No-rae's reaction (after spending so many days ignoring Seol-a, suddenly she's prompted to call her) kind of indicates something might happen next chapter. Maybe. No-rae to the rescue?
EDIT: lmao black bars deleted, point agreed on Random Reader, haha.

I have the feeling their reactions were genuine after Ran got outed that it was the 1 of April. Meaning that Keiko really didn't like the feeling of Ran having a boyfriend and she made that 'joke' because she was angry, and compensated with being too cheery for a joke, likewise Ran probably would have started crying if maybe Keiko waited a little bit before telling it was a 'joke' and she rained her tears in so that she could make it into a 'joke' as well.
I sort of agree with this!! I think Keiko is ridiculously bad at hiding her emotions. At least when Ran is concerned. [Ran on the other hand is really good at it.] When Ran mention the bf, she actually freaked out and she was actually pissed when Ran revealed it was a joke. To compensate/hide her anger, she hid it in the guise of a joke. I completely agree with Ran though...Ran was upset (though I'm not sure she would have let herself cry even if Keiko had waited) and she exacerbated the situation to hide it. I think if Keiko hadn't pulled the "Just Kidding" card, Ran instead would have popped up with a smiling face, sort of like when she found out her dad died. [But who knows! Maybe Ran would have cried...which would have made it the second time in 10+ years]
