and that was my real killer here, i might enjoy this series if the characters were in some way likeable but they are all horrible people and that isn't played for comedy or anything, no its played straight.

I think this is where we differ. I really like these characters. They're all awfully flawed and selfish (and this manga might be playing it up a little). But really, who's actually not flawed and selfish?

this series is starting to get kinda stupid...Why the fuck do these girls even bother hanging out with Remi? She's literally trying to sabotage their relationship. And she's kind of a horrible person. I really just don't get it.

My friend still hangs out with a group he doesn't even like. Sometimes, you just think it's not so bad that you'd cut contact with them. Not to mention you're looking at this from a reader's perspective rather than the characters'.

I would actually recommend even the anime to yuri fans, but it is frankly not as good as Madoka (or stuff like Saki/Strike Witches).

Saki is just mindless fun to me and I'm taking a really long time watching Strike Witches. I've made a habit of watching anime in the living room and it's pretty hard to bring myself to watch little girls flying around in their panties around my parents. I also didn't find it very entertaining. Not sure why. Possibly the drawn out watching period, but it felt like a chore.

Most Madoka doujins are pretty spoile heavy, but I think we might need some spoiler tags in here.

As for Yuuki Yuna, I'm really enjoying it so far. Comparisons to Madoka is to be expected, but the show does want to take its own path and it definitely could. The characters are likeable and fun to watch. Felt like there was something grim hiding behind the happy atmosohere, but I really liked that. The last few episodes made me bawl my eyes out.
