Although I missed the main discussion of the 12/22 strip (holidays are too damn busy), I'd like to point out that this situation with Mo Xiaonan is also significant for Sun Jing's character. Odds are she's never been put in a position like this before, and how she handles it could affect her relationships with several other characters (especially since there are currently a bunch of people walking past).

@mint-leaf They also made their Twitter private, although I'm not sure whether that's still the case.

I thought I recognized the art style. Then I realized this was by the artist that left Pixiv because people wouldn't stop posting their work on other sites.

As of writing this post, Volume 7 will be released in about half a month. I don't know how many chapters the series is up to, but it's probably significantly more than what's here. Looking at Futari wa Pretty Anon's homepage, it seems they've been focusing on "Jitsu wa Watashi wa" lately. I mean, I wouldn't tell them what their own priorities should be, but I'd rather buy the licensed releases of My Monster Secret. That being said, I'm surprised that Seven Seas hasn't licensed this series yet, considering how much they're digging themselves into the monstergirls niche.

Indeed, if someone were to know, Sun Jing would. However, I was thinking that if it is something serious then Qi Fang may not have told Sun Jing in fear of losing a friend, or for some other reason. I don't know about off the mark, I just think we view the situation differently. And if Qi Fang did commit a horrible act in the past, I feel that he needs to face it.

I agree about that last part. Although, there's also the possibility that it's not nearly as bad as his actions imply, and guilt has simply overblown its significance in his mind. That's another fairly common plot device.

The first half of this feels really unnatural. I was really confused reading it until I remembered what this doujin's gimmick was. I can't help but feel the second half is the actual story and the first is the reversal.

Maybe, that's assuming Sun Jing knows. And had he hurt a girl in the past, is that something he should be protected from or should the girl be protected from Qi Fang?

I also meant "protect him from himself." And my thought was that Sun Jing is the most likely character to know what's up with him. Anyway, looks like I could have been completely off the mark, so I'm just gonna shut up and stay tuned.

I doubt it. The girl is probably relevant for Mobhead's storyarc (whatever that might be) and will not interfere in the main relationship.

There's clearly a reason why he didn't want her interest so I'm hoping we're going to find out what it is. Maybe he hurt someone before?

Not to mention that he completely broke the character he had established thus far. Either he was willing to go that far to scare her away, or the idea of a serious relationship brought out a side of him he clearly wants nobody else to know about.

Also, isn't everyone missing the obvious progression of this arc? The girl's going to come to at Sun Jing's home and decide to ask her about Qi Fang, possibly including his past and why he acted like he did towards her. Then Sun Jing has the moral dilemma of whether to protect him from what happened in the past or to push this girl towards him in the interest of mending his wounds. I mean, I could be wrong, but I grew up around writers. This kind of plot structure seems elementary to me.

When I saw the thumbnail I immediately thought of Madotsuki from Yume Nikki.
I then spent the next minute pondering the fact that I still remember Yume Nikki.

I would love to see more harem works focused on Reimu like this piece. And without Marisa being involved, again like this piece.

Checking on Pixiv, it seems that the artist simply stopped updating this comic. Kouji is still quite active, so it has to be something specifically having to do with the series, rather than the artist himself. I checked Pixiv, the artist's blog, and the comments on page 62 (the last one) on Danbooru, but I can't find any mention of hiatus or cancellation. Then again, I'm putting the Japanese through a translation filter, so I may be missing something or not looking in the right place. I've seen series resume after longer periods, so this isn't necessarily dead. Again, though, I'm not really sure, so someone more keen than myself may be able to find out more.

I was wondering why all I was seeing around was IFxCompa and no IFxVert, since IF and Compa have pretty much no chemistry in Re;Birth 1. Not having played 2 yet, I'll just have to hope that game can sell the pairing, because I really liked IF and Vert's relationship in the first remake and am incredulous about anything else.

I'm not sure what the official process for this kind of thing is, but this doujin was previously uploaded from a different scanlator. I couldn't say which is the superior edit, but I figure one should be removed either way?
