I really enjoy this one, I wasn't expecting the adorno-esque rants from Kuran about low (popular culture) and high culture art and media. She seems to really like and intellectualize all types of different subcultures from movies to sneaker collection, it's a very interesting premise I haven't seen a lot of. I wouldn't mind a side character who disagrees with Kuran's love of international pop culture (perhaps a girl really obsessed with traditional Japanese high culture) I think it would bring an interesting dynamic to an already interesting romance.

I'm a big fan of the author and i'm always looking for transgressive, drama-filled works that swing wildly between both het and yuri. Octave was really good, so i'm hoping for interesting things from Brides of Iberis as well. Big fan of the mutual attraction between the two female leads, will this lead to the poly one to finally grow feelings of jealousy i really wonder.

You know its a good series when people are still mad at it after all these years, i'm happy we have stories like these that explore sexuality and gender in such an experimental and interesting way. its why i like yuri and yuri-adjacent manga so much
