I'm just curious: How many tag suggestions were submitted and how often did you change them?
I won't volunteer, because I doubt my English is good enough.

I suppose if you introduced a blacklisting feature, you could upload whatever you want... but right now the argument that we can just ignore things we don't like isn't valid if it appears on the front page and because the reader is rather small.
For instance, just reading the tag "lolicon" feels unpleasant for me. I had a friend who was raped when she was 5. Every time I notice something remotely related to pedophilia, it reminds me of her. I feel kind of guilty, because I said things I regret today (I was an insensitive little kid). That's why I was so strongly opposed against Oshikko Sensei. And I'm not even a victim. Imagine you were, it would be like a kick in the face.
I don't mind if there's a little bit of hentai here and there, but please don't let the porn take control. You wouldn't be able to compete with a proper hentai site anyway.
On the contrary, you have the largest existing yuri reader. Not only that, you're ad free and even refuse to take donations. This is your strongest point, this is what makes you unique. No need to change that.
There remains the question why you'd even want to upload... more controversial stuff. Is it really worth the trouble?

Well, I love the art but the story... not so much for the moment. It's all over the place, somewhat cliche, etc.

And here I was beginning to feel really alone, thank you.

the school presidente is the rector grandother...
i remember "she wolf"... too cliche!

Most yuri stories are quite cliched. Especially if it features a school of any sort.
To put it in a less harsh way, you'll see a lot of familiar plots/ideas/settings...

This is a very promising start.

Otsu Hiyori AND Notes from the Garden of Lilies on the same day. Could it get any better?

joined Jan 30, 2013

Yes! More Otsu Hiyori!
(I haven't even read it yet.)

Indeed, it was too short...

I think it would be nice if it were possible to add authors to the reading lists.

The story's kinda nice (bullying is usually somewhat interesting), but what's with the ending? It seems unfinished...
Anyway, thanks for the release.

edit: nvm, I just discovered michan's post. So, do sequels exist or is it an oneshot?

If you're looking for more "adult" (in the mature sense, not the sex sense) manga, maybe something like Pieta (the protagonists are young but act much more mature) or Yamaji Ebine's stuff. All very good.

Already read, thanks anyway.

yes, that's my (Friedman's) point. aren't we agreeing with each other?

I almost gave up on the yuri genre completely after I read this the first time. The drama is manufactured to the most cliche specifications and the characters are paper-thin. Yukino makes me want to punch babies.

Now compare that to the regular school life onee sama type of manga ;p

I love it!
Also, it's a hit to every school-life-everybody's-a-lesbian-I-love-onee-sama-kyaa-blush-faint type of manga, which get old really fast.

"It’s a grown up manga for grown ups, who like to read grown up stories about grown up women who like grown up women" Erica Friedman
My all time favorite. Are there more mangas like this?

speaking of Psycho-Pass, yuri-ism recently released a pixiv short :)

yep me too. Konno Kita isn't that popular and doesn't receive a lot of attention (but she'd really deserve it!)

You're reading trough the whole Chi-Ran stuff, aren't you?
(I like her works too)

Yeah, right.
It's getting late here (I assume you live in the US?) and I'm going to sleep... good night.

edited.
I get it (you said that often enough) and I want to change it.

it's not my taboo, really. Respect and politeness are concepts of pretty much every society.
And if you're offensive, at least be funny. You're not.

It's only an improvement for you, because you're making it easy for yourself. That's kinda egoistic.

Why should we care over the internet to people we have no obligation to when the first words we see out of their keyboard is a vaguely disguised demand rather than a proper request of some sort?
Chances are high that he/she does not have English as a fluent language, but that doesn't stop them from phrasing it differently.

The internet is just a medium.
The person asking the upload phrased it as a request (Note the "please").

none of us could care to be more polite in how we speak to dumbasses because we don't think they deserve the effort.

Being rude doesn't improve the situation, not does make the dumbass less "dumbassery".

It's not that we deliberately want to be rude... we just don't care about being polite, there's a difference.

Okay, them why wouldn't you want to be polite?

I want higher standards for everyone. There is no reason to not aim for higher standards, right?

I don't care to improve my golfing game because I don't care about my golfing handicap.

I'm not sure if I got the metaphor, but what hinders you to be polite?

We don't ban them. They're free to stay. How Casusby wishes to inform them of this is up to him, it's not like we have shareholders we're beholden to, who demand customer loyalty or anything. Which is what I've been saying all along - don't expect us to act like representatives from some hoity toity company because that's not our 'culture', and we have absolutely no reason to change anything because nobody gives a damn.

I obviously care.
And this is more about interpersonal relationships, specifically mutual respect.
Pretty basic stuff.

And you're missing the point - we don't care about being polite.

Yeah, I noticed. Actually, it would be hard to miss.
But why would you want to be deliberately rude?

So they go away? That was kinda my aim.

Or you make them realize that they can't demand uploads/scanlations and let them stay?
