I dunno if this has been brought up or not, but I do find it kinda... disturbing to check on the reader and see things like fisking, lolicon, and futa all right there.

The previous reader informed first time visitors (or those who cleared their cookies) that there was content on the reader for those 18 and older. While that message isn't here anymore, we're going to avoid going farther than labeling things NSFW, Lots of Sex, and detailed description since we're not anyone's parents.

Is there a option where I could block some of the content that squicks me out?

We've considered whitelisting/blacklisting tags. But that's probably just one in the many things omn has in his backlog.

Yeah, it's called not clicking on links with gross tags :P

While the option to block and possiby even bookmark certain tags (bookmark so you can receive notification when a certain subject you like has a new manga added about it) is certainly a better idea than "remove all the stuff I don't like or else" that we see in the other thread, really as long as you don't click on the links, it should be fine. I mean, it's not like Tumblr or a Booru where the images could just pop up with no warning.

You should probably put a disclaimer on the front page that some work on the site is 18+ or etc etc in your country, that should negate the legal responsibility that exists by hosting pornography.

Blacklisting and whitelisting tags for the recently released and the recently added page (and their feeds), has been on my long list of features to add. I will probably give it a higher priority, so you should see it soon™

I also might add a feature so you can hide covers/thumbnails of items tagged with NSFW.

Does that really negate any legal responsibility?

I always find those extremely annoying, and I have see many other porn websites that don't have them (e.g. e-hentai). So its very unlikely one will be added unless someone can give more definitive proof of it being required.

Along the same lines, is there any way to alter how the recently released section works? Or to just have separate sections? I also dislike previously said content, and don't click on it, but I also don't like having to sort through the massive amount of that content + doujins, which I have no interest in reading. For a normal shoujo-ai/yuri reader (that is, one only interested in that kind of content), it would be so much easier to be able to have a sorter for the releases.

The issue for me is not the presence of these, but the ability to find the newly released content that I actually want without having to scan through 5 pages of uploaded doujin, which I find easier to identify than the other unsavory material. I was a little frustrated in scanning through tags and thinking I finally got through all the doujins only to find I missed a different tag and clicked on a lolicon or futa chapter.

This kind of genre by date sorting feature is on many other readers, and I was hoping to find it on the new dynasty reader.

It's more like a "Caution this coffee is hot" line. It gives you the ability to say "Minors are not allowed on the site", without actually doing anything to deter them. It make it harder for you to actually be liable for civil suits, no idea about criminal law.

No idea, probably best to be safe. It really hinges on whether someone decides to be a dick and go start filing things at chilling effects or somewhere that automatically get you taken down regardless of legitimacy since the DMCA basically gives them the power to censor anyone they want regardless of the claims factual foundation without investigation.

That website seems to be from 2000, something more current would be much more useful

Content providers should take steps to avoid providing such material to minors. One way to do this is to have a warning page where viewers must click on a statement certifying that they are over the age of 18 or 21 and will not hold the site responsible for violation of community standards. No court has yet decided whether this type of warning is sufficient.
