An eternal search for the princess, yet its also a never ending adventure beside her. Bittersweet, stretch this one more or add a more realistic perspective and it could become more tragic than it already is.
This most recent one was very nice. Unlike some of the previous painting inspirations, when the painting frame came up, it didn't feel forced at all. One of the few rare true fantasy yuri stories out there and with a dose of tragedy to boot. Hope that there's more like this in this series.
Is no one going to bring up how the princess turned into a male lion?
Did think about it. Just rolled with it because that's how the painting was originally and the mangaka's committed to yuri.
