I really had to stop reading this and go look at the author because I was like 'I know this artist but this is...' and then I was just in shock.

Certainly an interesting one-shot, a look into a very unique relationship. I can't say I'm super into the pain aspect because I myself don't like being hurt or hurting others but.. I wouldn't be opposed to reading more of this if there was a continuation.

Wow I've seen other works from this author and they are... vastly different.

So my interpretation is that the masochistic girl was in an abusive relationship with a guy (because she said she hates men) and probably feels like the abuse is a form of love. Maybe the guy said something along the lines of "i beat you because I love you" and he probably enjoyed doing it. So now she got a girlfriend to show her that same kind of "love" but knows Kanan does not enjoy hurting her so maybe thats comforting to her? Either way this is one messed up relationship.

I agree, I'm all for the pain and pleasure being mixed. Love bites and the occasional blood drawing scratch are enjoyable and all but, breaking bones is going way too far.
