When I think about it more, the flower on Hikari's head symbolizes a brain illness. She kept her feelings to herself just so she wouldn't burden her sensei because it was worsening. She was bedridden and couldn't go to school. Sensei visited her and couldn't help but to confess anyway, and witnessed Hikari's last breath.
Those plants growing underneath those bandages Sensei was wearing were probably due to self-harm. She wanted to join Hikari so badly but waited until graduation. It was quite fishy because she knew when she would die after one of the students said she was retiring that year because Hikari didn't, which means she planned it all out. She ended her own life just to be with Hikari.
And now, they're together.
I feel the same way, I didn’t consider the overall stort to be a metaphor until I saw the bandages on sensei’s wrists and had to reread it. But I think you nailed what this story was trying to convey. Murasakino sensei truly never disappoints.
So we’re circling back to the murder mystery, I’m kinda interested to see where it goes. But at the same time it doesn’t really fit in the current setting/theme of the manga.
Quite the opposite, in my opinion. Since we're likely about to see Ren finally talk about everything with Mikoto once she wakes up, this is exactly the time to see the thread progress on the other end in parallel as well.
Yeah I see what you mean, however I was anticipating Mikoto and Nekozaki finally discussing how they feel and how to move forward. Can’t say I was particular excited about the whole murder mystery involving Nekozaki’s father. In my opinion it just hasn’t been built up enough.
^ Agreed. And I’m currently dieting. Just working out a bit more than usual, watching calories and eating foods in high protein and less carbs. Usually works for me, but we all have diff metabolisms so it really varies but I doubt it’s going to kill you.
I love Chikane and Himeko but I wish the author didn’t just solely rely on the fact that we(some of us not all) love the two girls from the original anime. The plot, the progression, the character development is just not there. This could be so much better than it is.
Everyone has light colored long hair so I keep getting confused on who’s who. But I remember Yozora is sleeping bag chan who was low key a mega hottie underneath that sleeping bag. And I feel tricked into reading this chapter lol I wanted to see Nekozaki and Mikoto make up.
Imagine they’re eating dinner and Aya coughs up a piece of Yoru’s picture and Sei is just staring at her like wtf lmao this ending was good I guess. But there really was no character development. Haruki is still overly possessive, Aya is eating pictures now so there’s that, the hypocritical student at Sei’s school still hates Sei. Well I take that back about 0 character development because Sei did stop obsessing over Yoru so that’s a win. I’m hoping the epilogue will be better.
