I didn't notice the blush on page 3 the first time. I thought people were saying about the blush on the last page, but yeah. I wouldn't be surprised if Keiko more or less dared her to see if she would 'kiss' her.

As for the people saying it certainly was a kiss because of the 'smooch' she could pressed her fingers to her lips and kissed her fingers making the exaggerated 'smooch' sound. Don't get me wrong I would love it if Ran kissed her and Keiko is just brushing it off precisely because she faked getting knocked out to get a kiss.

Also since the Volume 3 colored pages are up are the extras going to be available soon as well? This is for jnko kinda xD

Keiko associates Ran with happiness ever since she met her.

I mixed your comments with the one saying that Keiko doesn't see in a romantic capacity at all and sees her as a child. Throughout the manga Keiko has been aware of Ran's body, which you could argue is woman envy but she blushes in most of those times.

Either way. Sorry about the mixup, I just meant to say that Keiko probably has always been romantically interested even if she's not aware of it. Though that again is probably just me xD

Anyway, I notice no male third-party is really involved up to now.

The ex made an apperance but he has yet to play any role, except giving us a bit of Keiko's backstory.

But the fact he appeared twice looks like a Chekhov's gun.

I have no problem with him being someone important, though if she were to return to him it would be meaningless. Yes she healed and matured maybe a bit, but it appeared they didn't really relate to each other and they were getting married because she got pregnant and not because they love each other that much.

The best scenario would be for Keiko to apologize and forgive him for the way they treated each other and move on which would either give way for a relationship with Ran or for a healthier and stronger relationship overall with someone. But really even if as you said Keiko sees her as a child that view is slowly changing and I really can't see another person as important to her as Ran so far, needless to say she's always had a pull towards Ran and she has been probably the best thing that has happened to her in her life besides maybe getting pregnant.

I realize I'm trying to justify for them to get together but they really are perfect for each other. They heal and support each other.

I wonder if the booze is so much that as part of an overall facade that includes some of the rest of her goofiness, a way to keep things light between them. She doesn't want to scare Keiko away, so she needs to always keep things from getting too heavy and I think at least in part the booze stuff is a tool for that.

I guess that is also part of why she suggested they go for a drink.

I agree, though not only if Keiko initiates it or ask Ran to. For example if they talk about something and they start talking about their feelings for each other, and both consciously go in for a kiss and not out of getting lost in the moment. I imagine Ran would be delighted if it was in the moment but I get the feeling Keiko would panic and start avoiding Ran. I agree that if Ran were to initiate it Keiko is likely to push her away. As @Random Reader says.

I wrote to the guy at Boon and the Vol.1 Extras that are extra pages after some of the chapters should be translated in a few days, just thought I'd let whoever checks for the new chapters know :)

I see Ran's initial 'distress' because she's worried about her reaction, the pause in the "...I see." I see as both a relief and slight sadness because she's slowly getting better which means that Keiko can very well decide that she is ready for a new relationship and get together with someone (I really don't want that to happen for obvious reasons, but at least it better not be her ex). Ran has been hinting since a long time that she is attracted to her, so that is understandable but at the same time I'm almost positive that she wants her senpai to be happy, even if it's not with her.

The change of topic to booze is as much as a change of topic as it is a chance for her to take her mind off the possibility that Keiko may leave her soon, I don't see it as drowning her feels as someone suggested, at least not to the extent that phrase suggests, i.e. getting deliberately drunk so that she runs away from her feelings. I see it as Ran getting an extension of her 'date' with Keiko.

Why do I get the feeling this is Dynasty Warriors fanart.. Oh well.

I know that there isn't any relationship between the two of them. That's why I said "what if" in my first post. I was not intending on dubbing the girl as her sister, that was intended as a joke but I guess that caused some misunderstanding there. I was not assuming just wondering the what-ifs, though I admit that was pretty dumb.

Oh, sorry. I just assumed you were convinced that they were sisters because in the second post it was stated rather than presumed.

Unless the sister is already married to someone xD, but yeah that is so unlikely.

There isn't any relation to the girl from the first chapter (almost 100%, unless Jin decides to pull that cliche), so dubbing her as her sister is kind of dumb. Unless stated otherwise it's probably better to not assume any family relations with the 'not-so-bright-outright-idiotic' girl from the start.

Rosa pointed out that this might be the one from the first chapter, but that is also rather unlikely cause there wouldn't be any reason to show the beginning. They weren't in a relationship to show a fallout or what led to her getting pregnant while cheating on her supposed boyfriend. That would be just a waste of time, considering she can make other works.

Hmm, for now it seems that she's straight and just likes to tease people? Really, there's nothing to go on. If it was shown a little bit of when they were at the bar it probably would've been obvious. Hopefully the next chapter(s) are longer and show more, then again it may be Jin's intent that it is like it is and eventually she falls in love with the blond only to get heartbroken because she either is straight and has a boyfriend/husband.
