I went back and just scanned over each of his series listed on Dynasty, and it seems like once he decides on a theme, be it comedy or drama, he tends to stay with it and not pull a switcheroo on the reader. That makes me hopeful about this one.

Yeah, I'd really recommend against looking into it unless nothing fazes you. There are some things you just can't unsee. It was pretty popular among anime fans when it came out, and I figured everyone had most likely seen it or knew about it. That said, it was literally the first thing that came to mind when I saw those arrows floating around the MC in this story, and even more when they started actually making contact with her.
