inhales ELEMENTARY SCHOOL??? What grade does elementary go up to in Japan because I am confusion.

Up to sixth grade, i.e. age 12-13 (depending on the kid's birthday, because the system is bone-headedly strict and doesn't care if you're only a couple months or even weeks away from hitting the legal age for starting elementary, which thus determines how old you are when you graduate from sixth grade).

Precocious puberty is a thing, and even some girls who go through puberty at the normal age can experience such rapid and extreme breast growth that they would qualify for large cup sizes that are rare even among adult women (like, adult head size!) before they even hit age 13 (which typically causes a lot of medical problems due to their bones and muscles not matching pace, thus leading to chronic pains and permanent deformations). Japanese Fictionland is just applying the same kind of breaks from reality that it applies to a lot of other things (e.g. why people often get punched a hundred meters into the air with little to no lasting harm, despite how vastly unrealistic that is).

Am I the only one who's weirded out by how the last two chapters didn't have their titles included (which are present inside them) when they were uploaded?

This one actually hurts a bit. Really hope there's some kind of resolution.

Not me, I don't have a problem with Itou but this doesn't seem to lead to a fluffy ending so I rather if it's left to the imagination xD
Also what's really odd for me was the "I'll be mom and I'll protect you" leading to "So then Can I get a kiss on the lips?" ???? I mean, woah!

Lmao makes me question the mom.

Surprisingly, there are cultures in real life where kissing on the mouth is quite normal between family members.

luinthoron posted:

What's interesting is that while the point of view of the jealous sister makes this seem quite a bit darker, what we actually see of the onee-loli relationship is much more innocent than the other more realistic seeming works of Itou we've had lately, only going as far as some pretty chaste kisses.

Makes you wonder about some of the other posters that claim this comic emphasizes the "predatory" nature of such relationships. Are they sure that they read the same story that we have?

Oh, so she already figured out the two are one and the same? I remember I few people had been complaining in the past about Heke being apparently given the idiot ball over this.

@Lilliwyt we chose to remove our scanlation work from this site as a response to a rule we felt was unfairly applied. Yes, we technically could’ve just changed the credits page, but we wanted to stand up for what we believe is right, so we have moved. This is not about freedom of speech, this is about sticking to our morals. If you wish to read any of the things we work on, we upload to Dynasty and I’m sure many other aggregate sites have rips as well.

If I'm getting it right, they believe that MD's rule should have an exception for cases like the still ongoing protests sparked by George Floyd's death, on the grounds that the combination of a clear black/white divide between the two sides of the conflict (police brutality is simply indefensible) and the underlying problems that led to the current state of affairs having been festering for decades creates too strong of a moral imperative to support the protestors in any way possible, and that attempt to constrain that on grounds of "neutrality" or the like is in itself immoral.

It's really unfortunate that not only Hachimitsu Scans have shifted their focus away from the webcomic version to the serialization, but nobody else seems interested in picking up said webcomic version (besides the one person who did one chapter a while ago).

What's the TL team got to do with it? (somewhat genuine question, I can't read Japanese)

... I'm really getting tired of seeing people ask questions that clearly indicate they simply stopped at the last actual comic page and didn't bother to look at the subsequent credits page. Just because most such pages only list the names of the individuals involved in the translation doesn't mean that all of them are so limited, and even those groups that usually do so do occasionally add important info in one of those pages for one reason or the other.

I'm not sure if anyone asked this before, but is this Kan guy supposed to be Korean? I'm Korean myself (a very shitty Korean at that but still Korean), and that definitely sounds like a Korean last name... although it seems that's actually his first name and his mom just gave him that name to make him "unique," so I guess that probably explains that. Still, he definitely looks like a depressed K-pop singer or something along those lines, and I'm glad that Ranka (I'm assuming that's Rankarana?) vindicated my opinion by calling him Bts-kun.

Sorely wrong. "Kan" is his given name, and according to Sexy Akiba Detectives, it's written with the kanji 完, which has the meanings of "end", "completion" and "perfection", and it's why they originally rendered it literally as "End" before they eventually realized how stupid that decision was and went with how it should have been rendered from the beginning (i.e. just like any Japanese name: romanizing its pronunciation).

I'm surprised that you aren't already aware of this, considering that it was explained in the credits page of the chapter in which his name was firsted mentioned on-panel.

Kind of sad knowing that the teacher-student pairing didn't work out.

Inorite? This particular reveal is utterly anomalous for Mochi; up until now, all of the relationships that she had done were either devoid from beginning to end of any signs of unsustainability/unhealthiness (there might be close-calls, but it's more or less set up as "just" bumps along the road to eventual happiness), or were quite obvious from the first page/chapter that the relationship is unsustainable/unhealthy. This one, however, concluded its original story as the former, and yet Yashiko's sole appearance afterward (which just so happens to be in Yuri Natsu) has her with not only seemingly-dyed/bleached hair but also talking about how she knows first-hand what's it like to have a romance that ultimately doesn't work out.

Maybe they use a different kind of "foot" unit. Or confused the foot with another unit.

The ability to follow forum threads and get e-mail notifications about new posts (though no new notifications will be sent until you view the unread ones) is a standard feature of practically every forum that I've ever seen, so I'm surprised it's not implemented here.

How about hidden tags that would not be visible to people but would hide something if it's been blacklisted by an account? There are a lot of releases that don't get one tag or another to prevent spoilers, but certain tags (cheating, incest, rape, etc.) could trigger people. I wholeheartedly agree with at least delaying certain tags to maintain the author's intended experience, and I think this could be a good way of doing that whilst keeping certain readers from getting hurt.

I like this idea a lot.

And I'd like it even more if you give people the option of toggling off the concealment of those tags. I don't care if the staff thinks they're too "spoilerific", I want them to be at least searchable so that I can find such stories.
