Ushio, so far I can remember, about as much as in the first season: a pair of very fast scenes which make it clear that they are much more than co-workers, but without going deep in their relationship.

I'm not sure. Maybe "The Structural Formula of First Love", more probably and specifically "Backshot" to begin with. It has the right balance between mischief and tenderness I need in this moment.

If it weren't for the whole thing about Tomo being a pimp, the abrupt end might even have worked. I can think a lot of different possibilities for "darken" Tomo's character without resorting to the underworld.

Moreover, in some way, I even expect the last pages (the "comeback" of Tomo). If it had been really her (like "hohoho! I had to fake my death but I'm back because, after all, I was only a damn tsundere who failed to be honest with herself" or something xD), the whole bit about her darkness would even have sense.

But ... um ... nope. As things just happen in the end don't fit for me. A pity, because there was no history of Shuninta disappointed me so far.

PS: I'll re-read me some of his other stories to get out of this bad taste.

It's not a pairing problem, in my opinion. Nixo x Nozomi could be a great pairing... if they aren't SO OCC in this doujinshi.

Same goes for Nozomi. Her "aura", her mystery (sometimes a little twist) isn't here. This girl is someone else, but not Nozomi.

Really? I'm the last guy that wants het in his yuri but the whole point of the story is four girls getting hit in the face with sexuality and they probably won't see lesbians being all over each other in public. Especially in Japan.
And this is Amano Shuninta we're talking about, it's not like there is any real danger of het development.

Yeah, although this is obviously yuri, the beauty of the work is that it really focuses on the discovering of sexuality as a young girl. This is the point of youth when everything is confusing and is really about discovering yourself, which I think is illustrated by Shuninta perfectly.

I like this because it's really the first manga I've read to touch upon what it's like to be a horny teenager. I mean sure there are plenty of mangas with pornographic qualities, but this is the first one that's really delving into the fact that embarrassment and awkward interactions with your crushes are so much more abundant than actual sex at that age.
