Okay well, I'm into the vampire thing and the art/writing was pretty good. I'm not sure what people are being such debbie downers for.

I'm reading some of the comments, and if the only reason some of ya'll hate this author is cause a past work had explicit shit in it, you need to simmer down. Personal tastes don't make an author good or bad. There are certain things out there that do, generally, make a story worse of course. But sexual content isn't one of those things.

The reason why he is hated by some people is because he committed plagiarism in one of his previous works. Some artists or art lovers can’t tolerate that. I like his works regardless, but stating why some people hate him.

Exactly this. It wasn't because "Prism" had explicit stuff, it was because he was discovered to have traced existing photos that did not belong to him, i.e., plagiarism. "Prism" was pretty popular and it was a huge disappointment for people when it was canceled because of the tracing scandal. The tag Tracing even exists on this site specifically for that work.

About 56 chapters of gradual relationship-building and evolution would be my best guess.

Unpopular Opinion Puffin: I like this trope. Mostly because I was and am a tomboy who has always struggled with looking less "masculine".

Also, some of y'all are saltier than the Dead Sea. Over a story. That someone else created. And others scanned, translated, typeset and released. For FREE. So it wasn't your favorite flavor. Well, then, scrape up those little sodium piles you seem to have dropped out of your spaghetti pockets and move along...

Just so you know my neighbors all think I've lost my mind now because I clicked on your link and was graced with that YouTube soundtrack. Somehow it caught me all unexpected-like and I cackled like a hyena out of surprise.

Also I think Maekawa knows exactly what she's doing but somehow didn't expect the kind of reaction she clearly got out of Shimizu.

Well, Stretch was a pretty spectacularly intentional bait, and people are always going to be salty over the tracing scandal, either because they didn't care about the tracing and are buttmad it ended, or who are buttmad that a manga author did such a blatant plagiaristic thing.

I personally like the art style. My own personal art style somehow ended up "manga-ish" (long before I knew what manga was, mind) so I'm always a bit jealous of those who have a more realistic flavor.

That is the worst title I have seen in a while.

I agree it certainly sounds like the verbal equivalent of a kid with 2 different color playdoughs just mashing them together and going "LOOK! YAY!".

"Vampires"? And their "peers"? squash "VAMPEERZ"! YAY!

Well at the very least this first chapter started off with talking about being free to love whoever you happened to love. And Ichika is already enamoured with the grandma's little gaijin vamp, so... So perhaps it won't be the horrible bait that Stretch became. Heh. Though stories that involve immortals or long-lived individuals that end up in romantic relationships with multiple generations kind of hit a weird squick spot with me.

Aha. Thanks. Those chapters get read, scrutinized, poked at, re-read, poked at some more, then re-re-re-read, so after a while my brain just goes "NANDEYANEN" when I try to recall exact specifics later on.

Yes, it was said aloud by Shimamura to tease Adachi when they saw each other again the next day. Adachi then replied with her own snark.

I noticed this on page 12 of the e-book version: <"The next day, Adachi once again came to school."> I think this doesn't need quotation marks. Thank you sneikkimies & co, by the way.

Can you point out what you mean in a hyperlink? What you're mentioning sounds vaguely familiar, and offhand it's making me think it's something Shimamura said facetiously, but I can't find your example.

Thank you for sharing. I certainly did not have it as bad as you described, but I can relate to some extent. Honestly I am not sure what I would say to certain people from my past were I to run into them today, probably I would react in a way worse than I hope because deep down I think I have plenty of vindictiveness of my own. That said, letting all that control me for the rest of my life is something I am not interested in.

Well, I'm no angel either. There are many people in my past that I've "forgiven" for stuff but that doesn't mean that I might not still have a dirty look or sharp tongue were I to see them again. Though admittedly I'm old enough now that the bullies from school are pretty vague memories at best and honestly probably don't even remember me much. Family or recent exes, on the other hand... welllll.......

as always bully didn't get any punishment.

Not really sure by what criteria undergoing a complete emotional breakdown doesn't count as punishment.

While you can say it's a punishment but do you think that's enough of a punishment for someone who bullied a person for years?

That would be up to the wronged party to decide, no?

That, and, forgiving and forgetting are two vastly different things.

I was bullied endlessly, from 1st through 12th grade. Small town, same people in my classes every one of those years.

It made me a bitter, jaded, and solitary person.

Then I realized that what had been done to me was never my fault, but holding on to it did me no favors. So I let it go, frankly far too late, for the sake of personal growth.

So, forgive? Yes. Because that was the only way I could cast away the bonds that I'd let others chain me down with, and become who I wanted to be.

Forget? No. Because to do so would be an irredeemable failure to learn something vitally important; in this case, that life is rarely fair, and that there are a lot of people out there who thrive on the pain of others... and that I have the capability to do what I need to do to keep such people out of my life in any meaningful way.

At risk of completely outing myself as an old fogey, I intentionally left that phrasing in when I was doing my edit/QC because it seemed to fit how teenagers speak, and I still struggle with trying to keep my own verbal tendencies as a decidedly not-teenage person from blurring that. I can't speak for everyone else though.

Alright~
On a side note, I notice that speech tends to end with the comma outside of the quotation marks. For example on pg 9's < “Wouldn’t have thought”, Adachi replied, > shouldn't the comma be within the quotation marks like < “Wouldn’t have thought,” Adachi replied, >?

Also from your post on the 1st page, it seems like the above example should have been "Wouldn't have thought that".

(I apologise if it seems like I'm nitpicking.)

To answer your first question, no. Sneikkimmies uses British English and I use American. (I am uncertain about Gilgamesh.) In American English, yes, the comma is typically placed inside the quotations, but British English can do it either way. Therein lies the difference, so neither is right nor wrong. There are also other things that distinguish the more British utilization in this translation, such as using "toward" vs "towards". or "realized" vs "realised". So it's just regional. :)

To answer your second question, in the final QC that I sent over, I had corrected/suggested that but it apparently didn't make it in. I am neither the only nor the final say, so I submit what I think works and that's that. So far I've never really gone looking at the final release to see what got used and what didn't, lol...

I think maybe "people consider Citrus as the best yuri" because it doesn't really do subtle. It's obvious from the beginning that Yuzu and Mei have a thing. For Japanese released stuff, that's pretty uncommon.

That still doesn't make it great, IMO, but at least it does make obvious yuri more mainstream, which, again IMO, can only be a good thing for all of us useless lesbians.

Anyway, what the hell is up with rotor? She seems out of place within the deliquent school

You underestimate the power of sexual misbehavior. And she is a shotacon, maybe she did something really bad idk.

I'm sorry, is the fact that she clearly goes around everywhere, including school, with a dang rotor/vibe with a remote jammed up her wizard's sleeve not delinquent enough? lol

BPD is a very specific and rather nasty mental disorder. It carries a much different connotation to it than simply a generic mental weakness or depressive tendencies. It would be a bit like if you labelled her bipolar, psychopathic or schizophrenic. Each of those mental illnesses is unique and carries a very different meanings and collection of symptoms. Some of the key symptoms of BPD include self mutilation, extreme mood swings, repeated suicide attempts, violence towards partners and family members etc.

You're describing extremes of BPD that are absolutely not the norm for all BPD sufferers.
