I have to agree. Even though no matter how you look at it, this was rape... So as I usually say, "do not attempt at home". And if that's how a relationship starts in a story, and the story ends happily, it can easily have unfortunate implications. So I'm not gonna bend over backwards to defend this; it's perfectly understandable to dislike this.
However, this story felt surprisingly authentic to me, on an emotional level. I'm not saying that Honoka "deserves" forgiveness. But I kind of understand why Saki forgives her.
I don't like Mira's works, but I agree that the emotions were good in this one, something I hadn't see in other Mira's works by far.
But, the rape ruined it. It's really messed up.
