I was gonna say but didnt, a weekly serial like this one would not lend itself well to being made into a tank, and unless it changed format, it doesn't even have very long legs serialization wise imo- its nature where it has the same kind of setup and joke end every chapter just cant be done over and over for too long without everyone loosing interest. - And yes, it wouldnt make the best tanks.

I will assume not everything put in monthly magazines is suitable to be made into a tank- most 4koma are not very suitable i'd guess, when every page is its own little scenario / joke - unless it has more overarcing story etc too? Im guessing a 4koma written to be long term and made into tanks is structured and paced differently to one that isnt?

Maybe from the start this was made knowing it would not be a tank suitable manga? Or maybe the author never had that thought and its design simply turned out this way.

I agree, but to be fair to it, its not meant to be all read in 1 lump- its a monthly serial right? So Im sure it would seem a lot less repetative if we waited a month between each chapter as it was designed to be read.

I honestly thought all these melon breads in anime were melon flavoured..

So that teacher DOES like her more than hero worship- shame for her she has no chance tho.. I kinda hope she doesn't find out who hime is- at least for a good while- she is often too serious and i dunno how she'd take it, if she'd try to make her stop or report her to the school etc.

Also, Kusunagi refusing a kiss so vehemantly even when wasted, and calling Hime's name, tells me Hime has really already mostly replaced Yae in her heart.

^Well, I should say she is fairly rare in ero YURI works compared to what I'd expect. Having a quick look, there seems to be about 4-5 nsfw Reisen doujins on this site- between ALL the characters you can pair her up with.. It's a pretty small % of the total she is in on the site.

I've never gone and looked at straight hentai for touhou- it wouldnt appeal much.. I should have guessed she was popular in that stuff.

@AkinomaHNU I didnt say just APPEARS in them- i said in NSFW doujins. And i meant yuri ones really, not straight hentai works. I know she is quite popular in general.

Im fairly sure its not a lovers suicide.. since it looks to be in a bath.. that wouldnt be a great choice to try and drown together.

It might possibly be calling on that kinda imagery though (& Ophelia maybe) to evoke a tone,
like 'I will be with you to the end no matter what' but without actually going there..

The flowers look to be daisies? which means 'faith' in japanese flower language- that may or may not have meaning. Could equally just be picked at random to look nice.

^I agree. @ Nya-chan we also have zero evidence she was ever straight- she has been training to be a queen since childhood- she had no feelings for Al, it made that clear- and has probably never had a romantic thought in her life given that her whole life has been dedicated to the role set out for her. And also that this is a patriachal fantasy world where women probably dont normally get to think about such issues and just marry who is picked for them.

It is entirely posible she is gay and always has been, AND that the manga will actually address it. Also if she falls for the princess but still likes guys then she is simply BI- and I dont see being BI as a cop out for not being gay either.

Maybe it WILL have some cop out like explanation where she is 'straight' but for some reason the princess is the exception- certainly I get that plenty of manga do that- but until it DOES that I dont think it warrants blaming for that.

I find it a bit strange that Minami, who's insistent on being friends with Azusa, is calling her by her surname, while Azusa, who's a bit annoyed by her, is using Minami's first name. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Yeah but she is a tsundere- she obviously ISNT as annoyed as she pretends. You can never trust what a tsundere says unless they are in deredere mode.

Also - I noticed in the chapters that covered the princess talking about her research, she never showed her back.. are they not gonna bother showing how and why the princess can use her magic items in this version? I thought it was pretty important and telling what she did.. If we progress onto the stampeed without an explanation for her strength it's gonna be a bit wierd..

@ Nya-chan I dont get to what your are refering- nobody has said or expressed that?? Euphie certainly hasnt had ANY gay thoughts yet- and the princess is just outright and openly gay and doesnt need to make excuses?

^Yup- even tho there seems to be more of it than in the WN, I do get what she is going through- since she was small she has been raised to be the queen and focused all her energy and skill on that. When that is suddenly taken away- who is she now and what is she to strive for? Its like she suddenly lost the meaning of her life.

But - and I also thought this about the web novel- she is described as very inteligent and learned and very skilled in combat and magic- but it kind of seems like the author forgot that- and hasnt showed it to us- at least as far as i'd read.

I get she has lost all her focus and certainty- but if she has so many talents and skills, they should for sure start to assert themselves instead of her being so pasive and unsure. She acts more like a helpless puppy just letting life happen around her atm and that doesn't match the desriptions of the strong queen she was being trained as till now.

(I dont mean so much the manga yet but in the WN- even 10+ chapters in, she didnt seem to be displaying much signs of the strong talented woman she was orgionally described as being.)
