I swear, one of Yukiko-sensei's favorite games is trolling the "they're basically married but are they dating?" crowd.

Each new installment seems to bring some new example of the depth and longevity of the MC's relationship while withholding the kind of "evidence" the skeptics apparently are waiting for.

Skeptics of what? Besides the semantics of the word “dating”, I don’t see any room for debate here.

For a long time this series has had a vocal group of readers who insisted that there was no yuri; that Kasumi and Sakurako were just friends and roommates and that was all. They were sufficiently noisy that they actually got the yuri tag removed and replaced with the subtext tag. It stayed that way for a long time, until finally the yuri became so blatant that the admins finally accepted it and put the tag back. That still did not completely silence that group, but over the last year or so they've been fading out. Perhaps they've found some other series to try to ruin.

You all know there are going to be people who come in here yelling that the first part of chapter 53 "PROVES THAT THEY"RE JUST FRIENDS TEHY"VE NEVER THOUGHT OF BEING ANYTHING ELSE GET RID OF THE YURI TAG IT"S ALL FRIENDSHIP !!!!!11!1!11!!1ONE"

If the story had actually turned out like this, I might have been more interested in the series.

Whoa. My image of Ayano was completely wrong. I thought she was a more or less naive young girl who was crushing on Chika and starting to discover her sexuality (ecchi fantasies, masturbation) focusing solely on Chika. As it turns out, there's little for her to discover: she's a shameless lolicon with a raging lust for cute grade schoolers, and has been for a long time already! Her thing for Chika is, like, just a new branch in the already lush tree of her sexual interests.

Middle schoolers looking at grade schoolers and drooling with desire... lol. I love this manga.

You do remember that one of the earliest things we saw Ayano doing was buying a gravure magazine so she could drool over the almost-naked women inside it? She's been an unrepentant pervert since the start.

Anyway, these girls just need to move past their insecurities and have a big yuri orgy.

This is totally the one true pairing and no one can convince me otherwise!

PS: I originally wanted to comment on the kimonos, but that sutff blew me away. Kasumi is wearing cherryblossom and pink (Sakurako) and Sakurako is wearing light blue (mist/Kasumi). To put it like a terrible fanfiction author: "They were stained in each other's colors."

Terrible fanfiction writers might also want to mention how Kasumi seems to love anything sakura-flavored. Her brain, her heart, and her stomach must be overlapping.

These chapters were perfect. Sakurako wanting to eat Kasumi out, more parental approval for their marriage, Kasumi confessing her true feelings and stating outright that the only reason she doesn't say it more often is because she feels it doesn't need saying, and that kiss at the end!

Although it does kind of feel like their college time is rushing by super fast compared to their highschool time.

Yuki is at least one degree of magnitude more useless than an ordinary person, period, so you may be on to something... :v

She just suffers from massive social anxiety that's been conditioned into her since she was a child by everyone around her, including her mother.

Hopefully the story will get around to having the two of them doing this soon as well...

I'm surprised at how little fanart of this pair has made it here.

I see two routes for this. One, thot is shocked over this occurrence and keeps her distance out of caution... or two, thot is jealous over this occurrence and chooses to bully Tadokoro in a "how dare she be close to this person I like!" kind of way. The latter tends to be more common, but I hope we avoid it this time, because while it would lead to her getting thoroughly crushed eventually, during the time it's happening Tadokoro would suffer a great deal.

...Unless it goes the comical route where her attempts to bully Tadokoro always backfire on her immediately with Tadokoro being completely unaware that anything is even happening.
