I webt back and reread Shadi and Khara's arc again. Its so good. The main couple is ok but the relationship feels immature sometimes (they are kinda just 14 so). Probably we won't get much of Shadi and Khara anymore since their arc has wrapped up but I'd love to read a series about just them. Good for themmm

omg i didnt realise that was a brief summary of the two characters' past relationship on pg 2 and instead thought it was showing us her manhua draft she was drawing. was thinking what kind of monthly manhua update is that??

when the manga conspires to create misunderstandings but the character is too proactive for that. feels like a sequel tbh

while its true that itou hachi has become synonymous with lolicon, she's also done a lot of wholesome non-lolicon works too. would be kind of sudden if she added it to this series at this point in.

im grateful to the scanlators for finishing this very old manga but wow... the ending was more unsatisfactory than I would have liked. Realistic tho, sometimes people leave or pass away and all the questions don't get answered and not everything gets tied up all neatly with a bow at the end. But I've got my fill of that in real life so-

In fact, I'd say Girl Friends had way more angst than Kisses. I guess it's probably because Kisses is way shorter so they had to be more focused and get to the point faster, unlike Girl Friends that spend way too much time on stupid misunderstandings and both characters angsting about liking girls and thinking other person doesn't like them, before actually hooking up near the end. Yes, I consider Kisses way superior to Girl Friends and it annoys me to no end that it seems like almost nobody read it stare.

Girlfriends and Kisses are the only two manga I have physical copies of because they were the first yuri manga I ever read.

I wish Kisses was more focused on just Nana and Hitomi instead of the other random couples because personally I liked them more than Akko and Mari. Gfs spent so much time with them trying to figure out how to have sex or whatever, kinda weak lol.

And Nana actually had a spine beneath her bottom personality.
