Ah. This continues to amuse despite its problems. This lead seems down right typical. I guess there is a good chance there is no yuri. ZTT isn't interesting so far. Kind of bugs me honestly. The other gal doesn't bother me as much but I tend to favor more expressive/troubled character types. Can see how some wouldn't like her much either.

I just learned Nakatani Nio does stories for one of my favorite fictional universes ever. Doesn't matter what else happens today.

Wasn't a fan of Raven after the first game. Will have to get the second game eventually. Very nice art.

Yeah. I haven't been able to explain this too well but I dont consider myself a competitive person either. The thing is, with fighting games you have all these rules and mechanics and its like you need a challenge. Something to force you to actually use them. And the best possible opponent is another person cause they can actually react and adapt. Or they can become random. The computer can't really compare.

So to me its like this awesome puzzle that i want to solve. Each person can use the same character differently. Its fun the try and learn their prefferenes in real time and come up with counters to their moves. Even their behavior. And losing just means you get to learn. Especially since most fighting games have replay features.

And I understand competitive gaming is a thing, but I think the fun is lost along the way. She'll come to hate fighting games.

I find fighting games to be among the most rewarding genres in video-games. The more you put in, the more you get out.
They are rich with skill and tech.

I'm watching old tournaments from decades ago. Some of these guys were in their late teens and are still playing these games competitively to this day.

If anything, Street Fighter 5(which I really like) is disliked by a number of pros because it is said to be so stripped down, slow and basic and not fun as a result. A number of pros want it to be more complicated. Which I think goes to the argument that competitive games are fun cause I find myself wondering if Gamerbee only cared about winning would he insist the game be harder?

This is still rather "iffy" at the moment as many aren't sure if the pros are just playing the game because it's the biggest game with the biggest prize pots and holding their criticisms in.

And to that person that said fighting game communities are toxic. They are no more toxic than most gaming communities. You will easily, way to easily, find jerks but there are a lot of chill people that want more people to play fighters and will help you out if you just ask. Especially if you join a discord group.

I really don't mind the way the drama with the move to America ended. I mean if that's all it was going to amount to, why not? Doesn't seem like this is meant to be a particularly long or complicated story.

The over-bearing enthusiast is kinda funny to watch even if she is leaning in territory of a close-minded-elitist but I'm pretty sure that's not where they are going with her character.

I do get what some of you are saying about encyclopedia approach. And yeah the overused prodigy thing is kinda of a bother but those things aside, I think I can enjoy this silly take on a genre I love.

Is it me or the game they are playing looks like Tekken 7. The art is way too cutsie, they look like they are 5 yr olds. I hate artstyle like that.

Yeah. I consider the overly cutsie art thing pretty damn annoying but I can usually put up with it for a good story. Or just two really fun characters in the case of Lucky Star.

I love figting games. Played them on and off my whole life. Only tried to actualay get good at them a year ago. I wanted to look good for Karin since they finally brought her back to street fighter. There is still some jargon and such I don't quite get myself.

I actually had an idea for a story like this!

The role of the parents is interesting. Wonder how much say lead actually has in the matter.

Last line of the story wad pretty funny.

Ah. Some of you said it better than I could. This "official" art seems to occupy a very strange place in fandom. I stumbled on these years ago, and like many here, was hoping it was cannon only to find that while they were indeed made by the owners of the series they weren't part of the story and it was like they were just for "kicks." Or maybe you could think of them as promotional artwork. Or how western superhero comics occasionally have covers that depict things that never end up happening in the comic.

I will have to find my sources but from what I remember the creator wasn't actually shipping them but fine with people seeing it that way. Konata even says she's not actually a lesbian in the English translated manga even though she obsessively plays games where winning over girls romantically is the goal.

This was great. My second favorite pairing from this fandom and half of my favorite pairing in the same story! Wonder if Kaguya is every paired up with anyone else not in her home besides Mokou now that I think about it.

Wooo! That did not go in a single direction I thought it was and that ending was priceless. I'm still laughing internally about the final page. Might want to see someone about that actually . . .
