This almost felt like a chapter from another story, and not just because I forgot what happened in the first one. Even after reading the left turn felt somewhat jarring. Talk about Drama with a capital D.
By the time of Strikers and Vivid the show is not even taking place on Earth, so no particular reason that such cultural biases would ever come into play.
Eehhh... well hopefully there will be some interesting development with big sis and kouhai-chan, as it is right now the kiss-of-gay thing is kind of disappointing, cute or not. Mochi has been good with handling the clichés though, so we shall see.
As cute and funny as that was, I will voice the most likely unpopular opinion and say that I hope the big sis does not go for it. It just feels like the earlier parts lose some of their potency otherwise. Besides, "everyone is gay somehow" is quite a trope unto itself.
Don't know why, but it looks better than the anime adaptation for me
Is that not how it usually goes though? Anime adaptations have only so much money to work with, and especially with highly detailed manga artwork some downgrades are inevitable.
Seems like a best possible ending for these people really. Nagisa will hopefully find someone better to have an actual meaningful relationship with, while the idiot and the psycho can live happily ever after together as they deserve. Everyone wins!
