54 pages in the forum...

I know this is just me being negative but I'm kinda scared of how good and popular the reaction was with this manga, with just a few chapters with few pages and we're almost 10 pages in the forum.

It was bad when it was 10 pages, now we're at 54.
ngl I feel you, it's kind of irksome that so many amazing series only get a limited number of reactions while this with a few 4-page chapters of silliness boils such fervor. In ex. Lilies, Voice, Wear Wind at four whole volumes doesn't have even half the number.

I think you guys are forgetting the most extremely important fact about this manga: it’s weekly. Never underestimate the sheer power of something being constantly present. The vast majority of manga here are monthly so even the most popular ones, like “hino San no baka” are still going to only get that engagement once a month. This manga is here every week (give or take a few weeks off) so it’s always on people’s minds.

Exactly. It's always here, people click on it because they are following it, it ends up at the main page on top reads, so everyone sees "there is a new chapter of that one manga". With that, the conversation continues, not always fresh because new people come in and talk about the same things already discussed, but the point is: people are always talking because there is something to talk about, weekly.

That's why the number of forum pages is so big. Whatever attractive things can be found on the manga, the main reason is that.

so does this mean that mc (I'm bad with names, sorry) makes a more "manly" voice for her? cause she just said that she can recognize the voice of "onii-san" but they had talked to each other at school and definitely does not put the dots together or is she just that useless of a lesbian?

i am guessing her voice gets deeper when she's at work because she needs to sound calm and level-headed, a.k.a more mature (??)
if you have a naturally deep voice and try to sound more adult-like, it can sound different from your usual tone.

So many people are willing to give Jerkface another chance one he said he'd keep his mouth shut, but he confirmed his jerkface status when he realized that Aya was into Mitsuki/Shop Clerk and his first inclination was to suggest that he could join in with them in their relations. I understand that impulse to want to watch/join/admire two (or more) attractive women enjoy each other's company, but to suggest that, out loud, to her face, in public (since she was at work), was a true jerkface move. It totally cemented his status as sleaze in my mind.

I didn’t really see it as him wanting to join in in a sexual way, and we don’t even know if he noticed Aya was (romantically) into store clerk Mitsuki (otherwise he’d ask himself “is Oosawa a lesbian?”). Perhaps it was more like “Let me hang out with you at this shop too. Let me join in on the conversation” — if anything he was being friendly? He thought the two were friends, so he went like “yo, you guys hang out here? Mind if I join?” and it probably came from a “wanting to be friends” type of admiration because he liked Mitsuki’s style.

Mangaka is writing this manga like a virtuoso playing the violin. I’d just like the releases to be longer than four pages, but I understand that quality trumps quantity. If the mangaka keeps this up, I see this work as material for other forms of media. Hopefully, some publisher will make a move on this work.

I’m surprised there is no serialisation confirmed so far, since it’s been a hit on twitter. I guess those things take more time…?

The fact that instead of a plot tool and blackmailer Jerkface turned out to be a future wing-man (Uncle’s counterpart, at school) is a very pleasant surprise.

Incredible oneshot. A cool concept for the format, doesn’t leave you wanting more because it delivered exactly what we were expecting of it and it is a breath of fresh-air to have a confession be not really a confession. No shocking confession moment, just… really fitting for the title. 10/10
