Calling it now, Lily totally knows the new Kaoru is a woman and is perfectly okay with it.
At this point "I knew all along" is becoming more cliche than "You lied to me". Like all tropes the execution is more important than the actual use, but it's not exactly subversive anymore.

This is exactly what I was trying to put into words.

“I knew all along” is cliché, and “You lied to me” is also cliché. Moral of the story: constructing an elaborate lie about who you are in order to fool your fated love interest is cliché and boring. Don’t do it! Be more interesting!

If that happens, I’ll be disappointed. Somehow that would feel cheap, you know? I wanna see this main character grow up a little, and hopefully not just because Lily is completely pure-hearted and loving. Ideally, the main character will stop trying to STAB people, and figure out how to communicate her needs and desires.

Already the situation is pretty contrived and dramatic, so I feel like it’s gonna be hard to make it believable given the setup and the historical context… We’ll see how it goes, but I’m not sure about this one.

There's definitely something about people explicitly not thinking "Why do I care so much?" as they proceed to care more and more and more that reads "mega-useless mega-gay."

This dude is so pretentious, I love it. I can just imagine his deep and sultry voice, the way he would casually drop in English words with a perfect accent, the short chuckle at the end of a phrase

I think green peppers are the archetypical “disliked food” among Japanese children. Coincidentally they are also one of my least favorite foods, but I love poblanos, so go figure

If you got to turn any movie/book/radio show/whatever into a well-drawn yuri story, what would you choose?

For example, I would DEFINITELY read a yuri adaptation of Bend it like Beckham.

Also, if we wanted to do something classic with children's stories, I would like to see something with Heidi and Clara (grown up) or a yuri continuation of A Little Princess (movie).

Kiki's Delivery Service yuri could be really nice too :)
