Well, judging from the end text of one of her newly translated work and her answer on pixiv, she is still working on it, at least. Yay!

I have the feeling the author didn't want to make the story progress, so they came with all those short stories. Anyway, thanks for translating this gem, truly a wonderful piece of Yuri! <3

I don't think the author knew where they wanted to go, or rather only them knew and they failed to convey most of it... Too bad. Still enjoyed it though!

True, I especially miss the little hearts during the kissing session, first from the instigator then by the receiver.. Well, we can still see what's happening by how they act, but it adds a little touch.

Citrus is good for what it is, but it doesn't have as much depth as Bloom Into You has. Furthermore, BIY's drama is always internal that affects the people around them as opposed to Citrus' "rival, one-off love interest of the week" and "Mei's acting distant again."

It warms my heart to not see pure hatred for Citrus for once! Although, it hasn't been that kind of stories since (the end of) vol4. Sorry, I couldn't help but step up a bit!

That said, I'd love to see this one adapted into an anime too. One can't have enough Yuri in their life.

That's some interesting point. Of course all the cliffhangers people love to hate are here to keep you hooked to the story to buy the stuff later, I'm not sure how it compares to TV series though. In many series I've started late, I read forums and there's always people whining about stuff that gets resolved in a good way later (or make more sense when you look at it globally); but they end up being frustrated and dropping the story before they can see the resolution because of the time it takes for the story to get published.

I guess the blame could also be attributed for the author, not taking into consideration the time factor of the publishing.

It's an opportunity to learn more about the characters themselves - why does the psychopath loli does what she does, why Yuzu feels alone, why she left her friend behind. But we also get to see more of how the character reacts in somewhat different situations, something less happy-go-lucky.

It's never a waste. Perhaps it could have been handled differently, but I like it this way so more luck for me, I guess.

There have been quite a few suicide imageries popping up here and there, in ch 23 especially & that last scene with Touko looking down the building this chapter.

Speaking of which, there is this line about Touko imagining smelling incense that goes over my head. Is there a particular cultural/symbolic imagery that I'm missing? There's something about burning incense for the dead that comes to mind, but not sure about this.

Melodrama is often shunned almost everywhere on the internet, not just here on Dynasty.

It enhances the trope similarity even more, heh! I'll just have to apply my own advice and ignore the complaints about it being cheap/bad/unnecessary or whatever.

Yeah I guess I don't mind if a story does not innovate the complete genre every time. I'm exaggerating, of course, but the same goes with the hate. Depends on the expectations, probably, but I don't get the need to bash it.

Ah yeah, never said it was. During a discussion with Gudetamago, I noted that the drama tag was absent of this story - this shows how the two are confused for each other, as they pointed to me.

I'm glad, I'm not on this website since long ago, but hating on a story each time melodrama appears looks like a trope. Ironically, I can relate to those who do in this particular situation.

Otherwise, I completely agree with what you wrote. I like this story, it has both dramatic and feel good moments, perhaps with less intensity and a bit less obvious than in other stories.

Leave melodrama alone ;_;!!

I'd be surprise they go towards the suicide route, but I believe there'll be a lot of inner turmoil for Touko, on how she will live her life afterwards. I'm loving it

I'm afraid the story will stop after the play. I'd like to see them interact a bit more after that, as new couple, somehow. Well, whatever the author could throw at us!

Well, I won't blame people feeling betrayed by the sudden appearing of angst, I like it but it wasn't in the tags. However, even before the sudden appearance of the manipulative psychopath, there were some hints that it wasn't going to be a happy ride all the way. Maybe it could've been best if it came only from inner conflicts and didn't turn to soul-shattering manipulation or something, but I guess I also like angsty stuff

Really liked this, it treated lolicon in some sort of self-aware aspect with funny stuff. And the way Mimika falls/reacts to Yuzu remind me of how.. well Yuzu reacts and falls for Mei in their sweet moments, nice Citrus vibes. Can't wait to see how it plays out!

This means we have the possibility of seeing a sexier side of Miss Sunflower... That teacher was really hot. I guess wanting more of a one shot means it's a pretty good one, but it's still frustrating.

Maybe her girlfriend (forgot her name) can make her see that it's not because her parents' love didn't work out that she won't be able to make it work for herself.

We don't know (unless I've missed something) how long it is since Rin fell in love with Kou, and from what we've seen, I don't think Rin has explicitly told Kou she has romantic feelings for her. Kou is dense, but Rin is at fault as well.

But for me, this was basically a confession from Rin and Kou accepted it. That's why she was asking Rin to keep looking over her, so she can keep on going with a smile. As in, we'll make it work even with the distance. She is returning the feelings!

Honestly, this was such a beautiful scene (in the anime) and this was the two character admitting how much they care for each other - Kou was crying, she didn't cry for Aoba... Kou genuinely care about Rin's feeling.

I don't know what you wanted. I don't think a kiss will happen in this series (maybe at the end?); if Kou had been like "okay, forget everything I love you, I'll stay" it would've been all for nothing and I think pretty much out of character. Kou is a workaholic from the start, she explicitly state it's why she can't look for a boyfriend, so yeah her work come first, kind of.

I sure hope Kou meets Hotaru. I also wish Chiaki would make her way in the main series... She was pretty cool.

Damn it's hard to relate with the character at all... Even the first Battle Royal film had more emotions and more interactions even if it wasn't really that great. There is no shock value at all. We needed more context! I hope the author will do some flashback chapter, maybe? At least, the transfer student looks cool :3

Yep, at first I was like "whaaat if they don't include that scene I'm gonna flip tables", but they managed to make it even more touching (the scene with Kou x Rin, obviously). A bit sad that the boss came to "ruin" the mood, I guess it's kind of message that it probably won't go further than that into the romance genre, I guess? I don't know how much it impact Rin's reaction to have her drunk before baring her feelings naked. I guess she needed that liquid courage or was just trying to numb her sorrow.

Still, that moment when Rin was starting to change her tone, it got me right away. Damn dust in my eyes... However, the impact on Aoba was a bit more emotional than in the manga and a bit more serious than Rin x Kou, to my dismay, but it's only natural since it's her story. I would have loved all this touching hands and hugging action with Rin as well :(. Anyway, really good emotions throughout the whole airport scene, the direction was really sweet.

This is how a good adaptation should be. Staying true to the original material while enhancing the part that couldn't be covered by the original work.

Can somebody who read the raws tell me in spoiler tags if the after credits scene is in vol7 ?

P.S. Rin scene looked even more like a confession than ever and Kou was really responsive... I'm kyaa-ing so much.

Well maybe not a romantic relationship, but long distance friendship are also kind of complex, distance can be a real killer in both cases. Also, there is this thing that when you're close to your one-sided love, you don't really want to change the status quo in fear that it'd change your relationship for the worse. We all critic Kou, but has Rin ever confessed or tried to make Kou see her as something else than a very, very good friend? We don't know!

It's also pretty contradicted that at first we defend the lack of progression in Kou and Rin relationship for 8 years ( 8 years!!) was because of Kou's denseness on reading romance between the line.

Again, we don't know when she first developed romantic feelings towards Kou.

But suddenly she now could detect Rin's implied confession, and reply with an implied acceptance?

"Sometimes you don't realise what's important to you until you lose it" - talking about Kou here, even if it applies to Rin as well. However, for me it's close to a confession, but not really yet unless we can see more in the anime, but how the two relate together? Are they separate even though the author work on bot? Anyway, that's still big, big heavy stuff to say to a friend. I don't think I've ever said that kind of thing to my closest friends and I'm pretty sentimental when it comes to friendship... Given that it's a story so everything is kind of more intense to make it more interesting, this is still a big development on their relationship; I think it makes Rin really happy considering the circumstances.
