An amusing detail: the very first posts of this thread are a discussion between Drpepperfan and Aries, from 2013, about how there hadn't been any updates since 2012, how a new team (Bakkin Translations) had picked up the manga, and how volumes 3-5 were left untranslated and would be completed later. In the end, Drpepperfan said: "Skipping a bunch of chapters doesn't seem like a thing I'd wanna do. But I'm ok with waiting 8^y."

You mean the tankōbon extras?
There are some in every volume of Yuruyuri. They are named "Specials" ot "Bonus tracks" or "Intermissions" (some books, like volume 6 and volume 7, are made almost entirely of extras, lol) and they're not part of the chapter continuity, thus don't count as chapters.

Not only did Kase and Yui finally get to spend some alone time together on this vacation (for Yui... work/club event for Kase), but in a few short sentences, with the only real question Yui brought up being the one about working at a store back in their home town, Kase managed to clear up all of the misunderstandings from overheard conversations and lingering jealousy about her roommate knowing things about her girlfriend that she doesn't.

I'd be willing to bet that Kase mentioned the possibility of working at the store in their home town with the thought in mind that Yui might want to live near her parents, but, since they're still keeping their relationship on the down-low, she didn't want to say, 'but I'd be happy to live anywhere that my girlfriend wants to move." And now that Yui knows that the REAL reason she uses that sunscreen is that it reminds her of the smell of Yui's hair, she knows that Kase's roommate might know what brand Kase likes, but has no idea why she likes it.

I still think that the roommate is going to be a complication somewhere along the line, though not as an ACTUAL romantic rival. I think she'll make a move on Kase at some point.

I agree. The romantic build up, outside the main pair, is pointing towards roommate/rival. My guess is that Fukami thinks of Yamada as a fangirl and becomes overprotective of her friend Kase.

Anyone else crackshipping Inoue/Hana?

We-ell... We have Kase x Yamada, and there have been heavy hints that Fukami x Aikawa may be a thing in the future, so Hana doesn't have that many ship possibilities in prospect. It's either Inoue or Mikawacchi.

Given that Hana wants someone physically strong, and Mikawacchi is anything but sporty, Inoue the track athlete does seem to have the advantage.

Where did you see this? The only name mentioned in those two images is "Nakajima", which is then used consistently for the school girl protagonist in the actual chapter. No one else was named there.

It's in the other Pixiv sets yet to be typeset. In these, the boy is referred to as "Kenta" whereas in the comic version, he's named "Takuya" (or possibly Takaya, the names annoyingly don't have furigana).

Well, slap cat ears on my head and call me neko neko wai, this story was inspired by Sexy Losers! Nene was right all along!!

You see, in Sexy Losers, Kenta, who is a high school boy, has a cute girl classmate he likes, and she seems to like him too... until he introduces her to his mom, and the two women start a lesbian affair.

There's no way in hell this is a coincidence: Sexy Losers is too well-known, both in Asia and in the West, for this to be fortuity. The name Kenta is a transparent reference-cum-homage to SL. Too bad it was changed for the comic... but I guess it was unavoidable for obvious reasons.

Btw, I don't know about y'all, but I find it quite amusing that Akira is the first one in the trio to understand all the sides of the love triangle they're in. Right now, she knows she loves Rin (duh), she knows Rin loves Mayuki, and she has just found that Mayuki loves her. Rin hasn't noticed that Akira loves her, and while she knows Mayuki has someone she loves she has no idea who that person is. And Mayuki, who has just confessed to Akira, doesn't know Akira loves Rin, and has absolutely no clue Rin secretly loves her.

Huh. So the ball is in Akira's court now? She will choose what to reveal and who to reveal it to? She gets to decide where this triangle is going?

I'm so eager for next chapter now. The tangle is about to get knotty. (≧∇≦)

That's just imho of course, but you know how Usshi is always taking care of Rika and is so good at it? In romantic manga, that's usually code for "will get together in the end" (even more so in yuri).

Kaisen Chuui should write a proper comic about these two buxom dorks.

My prediction:

Akira goes to Mayuki and tells her that she has found about the kissing lessons with Rin. She says that she will be the one giving Mayuki kissing lessons from now on.

Mayuki totally freaks out -- because Akira is the one she loves, and she wanted to become a good kisser for Akira's sake! But since she can't bring herself to admit that, she accepts Akira's suggestion.

Akira has actually never kissed anyone in her life, and doesn't know the first thing about how to teach kissing. Thus, when the lesson starts, Mayuki (who has become pretty good thanks to Rin) ends up being the one giving a very thorough kissing lesson to a dumbstruck Akira.

The karmic retribution delivery boy says: "Miss Akira? One large order of humble pie for you!"

I believe this is how it's going to go.

Me encantaron las escenas del final, Rin haciendo la versión butch de una confesión, jejeje, se dice que apresuraron terminar el manga por pocas ventas o poca popularidad, no sé si es verdad pero yo disfruté el manga hasta la última página.

Tal vez me habría gustado ver más sobre las medias hermanas, pero bueno... su historia sería como una especie de Citrus, y ya se publica el Citrus original en la misma revista que Umineko, así que no puede ser... ¯⧹_(ツ)_⧸¯

Aya me dejó muy impresionada en este capítulo. Lo normal en un manga es que cuando una chica descubre a su amante con "la otra mujer" se desespere. Aya las vio juntas en el apartamento de Sei; y después juntas en el telo que es peor porque ya no deja dudas de lo que hicieron. Una heroína de manga típica se pone a llorar y huye corriendo. Me gustó en Aya ese carácter asertivo que está demostrando de ir a por todo y pelear por Sei.

Jejeje todo el mundo ya lo ha leído en inglés? Debían haber esperado la versión en español! Qué poco fieles que son... :P

Yeah, that's the one. The Japanese sure have those labels down pat, only BD is not actually any comic coming from Europe but rather, as Random wrote a few posts above, Franco-Belgian comics... but I guess it's an understandable generalization since of all comics made in Europe the Franco-Belgian ones are the most popular around the world and prolly make the vast majority of what reaches Japan from Europe.
