Ofcourse they can claim otherwise but the art wouldnt support it. Imo she HAS kissed her on the lips. So unless we are gonna get MAJOR major progress, I'm assuming Koguma is actually asleep so doesn't know.
But even then- having kissed her now is surely something Hino will have to face and think on.

@BreadBunny With the various little details we see and things she says and the literal magic that would be almost impossible to do otherwise- Im guessing Mitsuha IS a deity of the land- like a minor mountain deity who doesn't have much power given she isnt worshiped any more.

Why did Nana's grandpa have two different funerals? There was one pre-cremation in chapter 16 and one at the grave site in chapter 31. I'm not very familiar with the particular customs around this, so explanation would be appreciated.

Dont know much about Japanese burial rites but surely you have a first practicle funeral- you cant be leaving people undurried for long after all- and it would be a small private deal for just close family- but then you have a formal funeral that the extended family and friends all attend- that is a much bigger deal to set up and presumably takes quite a while to arrange everything.

Thats my guess anyway.

@OnitsukaTiger It's probably the same as the thing where when doing someones hair the person in back will ask 'Does it itch / hurt?' something like that. I think it's a standard question asked by hairdressers and the like to make sure they are not causing any discomort for the customer- and you will often see people playfully ask the same thing to their friend or whoever they are combing the hair of like they are playing being a hairdresser.

This might be the same thing since she is personally servicing her in a similar manner- washing her back/hair.

Looking back, she never said the person she wants to be with in tokyo was a love interest did she- or was that somehow implied in the japanese words she used? Ai san never specificaly said she needed to greet her parents as her lover either.

She might just introduce herself as someone who loves her art and wants to support her creative endevours in Tokyo? I hope its not done like that but its a way around getting too serious if they want to.

If Mai-chan wasn't so innocently portrayed, I would've thought she was Hitomi's hired guard who needs to pretend to be a 10 year old kid so she can be with her in class for protective detail.

As you say she acts too like her age. Also it would be terrible cover since she looks nothing like a 10yr old lol. They'd find a small female bodyguard who blended in better. Or the bodyguard would be a teacher.

Its not that rare that kids physically mature early compared to others. Even to this degree- tho rarer ofcourse.

@ johnb I kinda know what you mean but she doesn't seem the sort to physically attack her or anything, she freaks out too much at the slightest thing and her thoughts have not been about doing anything sexual.

She seems the sort who wants to become her girlfriend, yes, but would then happily wait till she is 18 and just have cute dates till then.
