I just started watching Monthly Girls' Nozaki-Kun and am finding it to be hilarious and seems to hit all my favorite points of a rom-com.

And the manga is even better =D

Acchi kocchi isn't even subtext (at least I didn't see it), most of it is het while Kiniro Mosaic is at the limit of subtext and yuri. The aim is completely different.

You must not like subtext. Personally, I liked Kiniro because it's one of the anime that goes the farthest in term of subtext. At least, Aya and Alice are clearly gay.

Hee ? I didn't mind the subtext. That was the most fun aspect of Kiniro. That's even why I wanted to give it a try.

Aya is clearly gay for Yoko. And Alice for Shinobu.

But the whole schtick of cute girls doing cute nothings went overboard there for me. The voice acting didn't help either. The hyper high pitched voices of all the cast, almost undistinguishable from each other, was getting on my nerves. And the fact that the characters (especially Alice and Shinobu) look like lolis didn't make me want anything to happen between them. I'd feel like a creep to watch these characters kiss.

I compared it to Acchi Kocchi, because it's a slice-of-life-moe-up-the-butt anime, like Kiniro (without the subtext).

The subtext in Kiniro is actually the only thing that makes it fun and made me laugh. But once you got the couples, well nothing really happens.

I didn't really hate Kiniro actually. I just found it very easily predictable and forgettable.

Ok I misunderstood. Personally I love these kind of pure slice of life in which the characters sole purpose is to be cute or silly so I see no much difference between Kiniro and Acchi kocchi in this regard. And I don't really remember the voices but I see why some could not like it

Plus I found the "foreign" theme kinda original for this kind of slice of life, even if it decrease a little as the anime progress

Is KinMoza subtext? It's not actually ambiguous

So, on this season: Re-Kan and Mikagura continue as they started. Euphonium is strikingly gay for something people insist won't be yuri; like, there's a random girl declaring her love for another, and something like half of Asuka's lines are flirting. Pleiades spent it's second episode building up the yuri subtext, to the point that the one guy was giving relationship advice

I agree with you, it's not really ambiguous but it's like NanoFate totally gay but not said clearly/officially. I sure you can still find people saying they are all just very good friends

Weird, I don't remember Lonely wolf as being particularly angsty

It gets pretty angsty.
There was the injuring yourself because of pressure thing and the love triangle in the end was major angst, too.

Yes but the fact that all this is resolved quickly make it seems less angsty. What I find angsty is when the drama keep going forever without sign of resolution

These resume pretty well my view of angst :

Like, the kind of person that feels trapped by their unhappiness.
which focuses the most on being miserable, and never talking about/reacting inappropriately to issues

Considering he was eyeing her up since the start of the series I doubt he's the type that wants to "score". I think he's just supposed to be an awkward/creepy guy.

Guy A: His opponent is pretty strong but...Kyung-woo is also the champion of fucking. (small >text): Even though he looks completely innocent
Guy A: Once he makes up his mind, there hasn't been one girl who didn't fall for his plans. Fine, I bet 50,000 won he will.

It seems to me that it's heavily implied that he is the type to want to score and not an awkward in love guy x)

Sorry, but these are not facts. These are rumours. How many guys were there actually witnessing Kyung-Woo's championship? Ssamba puts quite a lot of attention to the rumours theme. Reread the beginning of chapter 23, for example, assuming you've never heard about Baek Seol-A and tell me what you think about her.

Sorry if It looked like I thought what I was saying was certain. I never though what I was saying were facts, just very likely.
I personally don't thinks we will be discovering that he has never been player and that his way of secluding girl and invite them to drink is just awkwardness. His "I've been found out" leave not much room for him being innocent. If he was just wanting to get close to her, having totally pure reason, I don't see why he would have said such a guilty line.

Again, I may be wrong and Ssamba might surprise me

I thought that was his thing, getting women drunk to score. But it might have been exaggerated by the dudes No-Rae overheard, although I don't see why they would exaggerate when there is nobody to Impress.

I really don't get how anyone can get it on in a restroom, let alone a public restroom. They smell terrible and it's almost like eating where you shit. Ruined the whole thing for me.

I can't generalize but public restroom I've seen in japan were pretty clean, no terrible smell

So she is dating the sister now =))

Thematically, that would be bad. There's a running thread about people having roles forced on them that don't really fit. Kana being seen as a substitute for her mother. Hina as a substitute for her sister. Nanase as a good girl. To have Nanase take Hina as her lover in place of Kana would be to do both of them a disservice in that light. Which is why the line "You two are not alike in the slightest" is so important here.

Personally I see them as being friends at the end with a very close understanding, not to mention a shared connection to the late Kana. But I'd rather not see them pursue a relationship.

Exactly what I was thinking. I feel like those two ending up together would make the one shot lose all his interest and meaning. Them being friend with a special connection is so much better. Friendship can be great too... often better than love.

I wanna buy this. Does anyone know where I can?

Unfortunately, aside from buying up a bunch of Yuri Hime back issues it is not yet possible. It looks like the series is finishing with Ch. 7, but I don't yet know what that means for a tank release—seven chapters of this seems too short to fill of volume on its own. My hope is that it might get bundled with NicoChuu and released like that, but either way we should find out soon.

There are three more chapters!? How much further could they possibly escalate this?

I'm envisioning a wedding that destroys the venue, and possibly several other buildings in the area.

My question is how will things get resolved in only 3 chapters. These girls are awesome but I don't see them all of a sudden starting to stay on adorable doting mode and never go back to bloodthirsty rage mode in that short a time period.

They don't need to. They are perfect he way they are :o

By cartoonish, I meant that there's no blood and no consequences. Not that it was funny.

And I didn't say she would/should have been punished. It was to defend someone in danger, so there's no question for us, because we "witnessed" everything. Just that in real life, police and justice wouldn't have let it slide just like that and would have investigated to know what really happened.

No-Rae beat him pretty bad, there was blood and he was hospitalized. And Seol-A went through all the police, justice stuff and consequences, it just wasn't shown :

Seing the situation, the poor state of Seol-A and how the guy was, I don't think this case needed a long investigation. And it's in Korea, we don't really know how things are done there.

My point is not that FF is "not realistic enough". On the contrary, since it's not that much realistic, I tried to calm the worries of some people about a date-rape that could happen.

I, for one, would be disappointed if something like that happened to a FF character, because it's not (I think) what FF is about. It's a romantic story, with some drama, about two women learning to love/heal each other. Or something like that.

Well, I totally agree with you, the guy will most likely be stopped before doing anything to Seol-A. The drama around her is already strong and this is not a tragic manhwa

And Girl's of the Wilds has gotten really good again with decent humor and it appears Queen is finally making her moves. Also, Dal Dal might finally be accepting the fact that Jaegu isn't into her as a romantic interest.

Jae-Gu is dumb not being able to see Dal-Dal's greatness >.>

Dal Dal is awesome but suffocating. Waaaay tooo suffocating.

I like straight-forward, true to their feeling girls better than those who lock them inside... plus the way she beat up whoever she want taekwondo style with her tiny body as awesome as master Yoda compensate for everything x)

....Fun fact time! When going down on a girl, never use food as a lubricant. It has gluten in it, and can very well cause genital yeast infection. This is exactly what I thought when she used the lolipop

Gluten only exists in animal products silly. Anythong that doesn't contain animal products or byproducts (such as lollipops) should by fine in those regards.

On the FAQ of a big company who does lollipops they say that only their fruit flavor lollipops are gluten free. And I think it also depends on how the they are made.

As always thanks Halmoni.
And I'm not a native speaker also, so can someone tell me what: If that bastard doesn't let loose over there, we can say he's completely crazy. means in this context?

Not native speaker either but I suppose that mean if he keep going with his act and manage to restrain himself from taking her to bed then he's crazy. Means as a sane man, he will definitely try to jump her >.>

I take this "let loose" as "stop acting the dumb guy without ulterior motive and go for it"

One Piece - ... (Just skip the Davey Back Jones arc, it's the shittiest of the bunch. Instead watch the G-8 arc as to me, despite being a filler arc in the anime, it's a great addition to the One Piece universe and totally worth watching.)

You're talking about the Davy back fight thing ? It's true that in the anime it's really long and looks like low level fillers (some of it is actually low level filler)... but what about Afro Luffy ?! That would be a terrible mistake to miss him... you're missing the whole point of this manga if you skip Afro Luffy :o

Girl's of the Wilds - Webtoon - A martial arts action Korean webtoon that follows a boy who transfers into a newly minted coed school that was originally a totally girls only school. However, unbeknownst to the man guy, it's heavily oriented towards martial arts and all of the girls there are top athletes basically. It's been going on for a while and it definitely has its slow points, low points, and dull points but! It also has great comedy, drama, and action plus a solid female cast. I enjoy it immensely.

It's been a while I didn't read any new chapter of this one, I need to take it back. Last time I checked it, it was finally going toward Queen's route... but I was rooting for Dal Dal the cutest of them all... I hope she doesn't get one sided till the end T_T
