Wow, I'm in love with this. It's so nice to see Kotori get some thoughtful characterization. Everything else about this was wonderful too, but that's probably my favorite part about this author's stuff.

It also just goes to show that any pairing can be a good one if it's well-written.

I love their exchanges, they seem casual but intimate at the same time, if that makes sense. The potential is definitely there, but it doesn't seem like they're together here just yet.

I love how flustered Mari is in this, I couldn't get enough of it.

Now all that's left is for Kumichou to make a quality KanaMari doujin... ::eyes:: With how well they've characterized the third-years thus far, it should be a breeze!

Ritsu is such a great character and stories that delve into her thought process make me so happy. And if that's combined with her being really gay for Mio that's just a plus.

I'm trying to do both here, but I'm just a naturally long-winded writer so it might be a while before any of that actually happens...

Kanan's dry narration is very refreshing, and Mari's entire presence is, for lack of a better word, amazing.

And of course, compelling drama with nice bits of humor sprinkled between, what with Kumichou's amusing character expressions. I think it's been a while since I've read something and enjoyed it this much.

Sure, it would be a lot easier to resolve things if they just talked about it, but...

I can kind of understand where Hanamaru's coming from. She's scared of being rejected, so she'd rather have this halfway, awkward relationship and be unsure where they stand, over finding out that her feelings are one-sided and losing Yoshiko completely.

It's really easy to say "it'd be so easy for them to talk." Maybe it is, but it's also really easy to psych yourself out like what happens here.

I really love it when a girl doesn't know how to respond to a sudden confession. it makes it feel a lot more, I dunno, real, I guess.

Kanan's "Oh." here is a perfect example.
