I really think these parts should have been mixed together a bit better, the first chapter is hard to follow without it

Kinda get the feeling that their friends would be okay with them dating each other, so the whole secrecy thing is starting to just feel arbitrary.

The fact that abe-chan and her senpai are both girls and going out and the friends reaction was LETS GO TEASE THEM!! really says it all to me, I don't know why they don't just tell their friends

This has the potential to do so well, I'm very excited to see what direction it goes. I like that eyebrows has her own stuff that she's into (even if she's just a classic yaoi-nerd) and I'm glad she's not been forever lesbian pining for princess girl. And also that she doesn't even really like MC much because well she's a bitch, but still likes her... ascetically? Lol

I'm just super hoping that when (because it will happen) MC tries to make eyebrows look 'cute' that it just looks horrible on her and eyebrows stays as she is but owns it. It's just her confidence that is her problem, not her looks

Even better if MC develops her own interests and doesn't fuss over her hair and makeup so much

I'm all for the theory that Asami had a thing for the mum because there have been hints of her target not being MC (that face in... Chapter 4? Omg) but here if we assume she's having lessons from the dad who left after the divorce (as hes meant to be old, but seeing as MC is 32 now, back then dad wouldnt have been young young) that would still mean that she was into his daughter who is MC

So where does the mum thing come in?? I'm so confused. I need another two years to figure it all out

If people see this as subtext, they clearly don't know what subtext is. These characters are not family, they are not friends, I don't even think they're really classmates. But the protag says, explicitly in text, "I love her." That, my friends, is not subtext. It doesn't need to be a physical expression of affection, and it does not need to be reciprocated. If you're looking for subtext, look at any of the major "yuri" series like K-On!, Final Fantasy XIII, and the like. They have heavy subtext, where characters are close and whose situations would be viewed as romantic if the characters were opposite sexes. This story, regardless of how satisfying the ending is or isn't, is yuri. I'd say we're rather fortunate to live in a day and age where there are enough yuri works to argue about whether or not it's gay enough. I used to be satisfied with shows like Kim Possible and Bleach, filling in the subtextual blanks with fanfiction.

I wanted KP to be gay so bad, the amount of fanfic I read when I was younger. Her and her sidekick were such bros, it sucked when they forced them together as a couple. Now were blessed with cartoons that have actual gay characters and I love it (Steven Universe, Korra, keep them coming pleeease)

I could read this as canon, it's so true to the characters. Even with the Euph MC getting involved in everyone else's drama was totally true to hibike haha.

I really liked this, Asuka's character is always a weird one to place and I think she's been done really well here. Kaori's dependence on her was also pretty great. I like that it's not this usual relationship and it's unhealthy, but Kaori is still along for the ride even though she knows it's bad for her.

Just great stuff, could totally read more doujins from this mangaka

It's an odd set up, two characters living together, with very blurred lines on whether they're actually dating or not

I think a better set up would've been the whole senpai-kohai past and the senpai responds to an ad to idk be a tenant in the same flat, something along those lines. Then you can still have the awkward "is this flirting? Is it not??" Without it being weird, as it's kind of odd to be this platonic after asking a girl out

I still find the MC super adorbs though so I will totally keep reading, hoping as it unfolds it'll make more sense

I kinda wisheach chapter was longer, when you start getting into it it wraps up
