Notice how Seo is crying when she's having sex with the man... this manga is a real class act.
I really don't see why you would upload this on a yuri website, since this manga is obviously not meant for yuri fans.
Just because you personally didn't like the story doesn't mean you speak for the rest of us. Also, this isn't a dedicated yuri website and this was a yuri story even if it did have a surprise dark twist at the end,
I think a lot people missed the dark humor in the ending. There was a LOT of tragic irony in what happened. When life gives you lemons and you accidentally get some in your eye and then trip and smash your teeth out on the table while trying to make them into lemonade, you need to learn to laugh it off. I mean there is often humor in tragedy.

Not enough troll in chapter 4. But it was still nice. I love it when I get to smell a woman's scent, though sadly being a 30-year-old woman, it doesn't come up nearly enough. I used to smell the couch where my friend sat when she left, but she lives in another state now. It was the best...
You guys say that she had the same expression as smelling the sandalwood, but it looked different to me? I dunno.
Also I live in Utah, so essential oils are a huge thing, and that's the first thing I thought of. Was it supposed to be a bottle of acid or something?
It would have had to have been some sort of inhalant like glue or nail polish remover etc.
I'd be a lot more upset about Akira being a glorified supporting character in her own coming out story if she wasn't so incredibly uninteresting. At least Hime has a personality.
I think that's the huge oversight a bunch of people are making about this story. This isn't Akira's coming out story. This is the story of Hime's confusing and angst ridden first love.
Think about it. The story always follows Hime's point of view rather than Akira's. Whenever we are privy to the character's internal thoughts or memories it's Hime's that we see. When the two split up the story then follows Hime rather than Akira. This never really was Akira's story to begin with. As the MC's love interest she is basically the second most important character in the story, but she was never intended to be the protagonist and people should stop trying to treat her as such.
Just because Akira happens to be transgender it doesn't automatically make her the MC.

Isn't this that one story that caused such a backlash it actually killed Mebae?
Mebae was in serious trouble long before this story was printed. As the saying goes, there is no such thing as bad publicity. The stink over this story is more likely to have had a positive impact rather than negative on the publications popularity.
Also, aside for the usual pacing issues one shots with plot all tend to have, this wasn't a bad little story.

I think this is also starting to change for the better with time. Just look at this last year or so or even this season. We have two shows at this moment that are not romances and which have unambiguous yuri elements in them.
Endro has two yuri crushes and a character that is strait up declaring she will rewrite the laws of the kingdom so she can get married to another female character, and Wataten! is a cute girls doing cute things series with two very unambiguous yuri crushes at the heart of what goes on in the series. Both of these are shows that could have easily left the yuri as subtext only without changing the over arching series much at all yet they didn't.
I guess I went into habit of generalizing a bit too much. My bad. It's true we get more and more anime where we get those more and less explicit yuri crushes, without series focusing on them specifically. I wouldn't count WataTen and similar adaptations though, since mangas were already specifically gay, so it's obvious they'd keep yuri in anime as well. There'd be no point to cut it, when it was half of appeal of source material. In fact WataTen is a prime example along with NTR, Citrus and Bloom Into You of blatant yuri manga being adapted into anime. Trend I obviously like.
What I meant more, is those big franchises focused more on appealing to male otakus, especially with male self insert, and selling merchandise. In those I'd never expect a confirmed ship, because it'd risk backlash of people who no longer can imagine the X girl being their only waifu and show ruining their image of her. And them being the main driving force behind money, make them the most important people to please.
Yeah, you do have a point about big tent pole multi season shonen's steering clear of yuri themes, but that sort of makes sense in that these are series intended to be watched by primarily strait teenage boys and as you pointed out adding serious yuri to shows like that risks alienating gung ho fans when they find their waifu that they built a thousand dollar shrine for turns out to not like boys.
The one exception to this rule I can think of off the top of my head is Attack on Titan which has important, attractive lesbian characters that have a serious romantic sub plot, but although Attack on Titan is listed as a shonen it really is more of a seinen sort of show when it comes to the tone and writing.
All in all the anime industry seems to be moving in a more yuri friendly direction which makes me happy, but you are right in that I doubt we will ever see a lgbt lead in something like Black Clover or Dragon Ball.
@shojie07
I'm translating the novel as well. First chapter will be out by the end of this month.
You are doing the Yuri Goddess's work. May your feet never tire of life's long journey and may your trees bear many fruit.
So far this manga is shiny.

Well let's see how it unfolds. I'm mildly annoyed by the trans representation but since it's not transyuri anymore, it's a lot more interesting. (as I said, it's really the "girl going out with a hot guy in dress" thing that annoys the shit out of me, because it's a very hypocrit fantasy of a lot of women out there and I suffered from it, as did a lot of others I'm sure)
And actually, if it's trans het, then it's nice that Akira is not passing (without it being yaoi like a lot of yaoi out there).
So I'm a lot more interested in that manga now.
This manga is only preaching at the moment. It's not telling a story.
Yup. Especially the first episodes were really annoying for that. It was basically trans advocacy over and over, and no one is interested in that. Supporting trans rights works by writing good trans stories, not trying super hard to be an ally and write something meh. (that will have the exact opposite impact)
Now there's romance and things seem to happen, so I'm happy. (I'm more interested in Yuuka x Hime but well, I'm rooting for Akira too of course)
I'm not sure I see what could be considered hypocritical about a girl fantasizing about or wanting to go out with a "hot guy in a dress?"

Great, now I have an image in my head of Sakurako sewing a Kasumi body suit and wearing it while talking to herself in the mirror: "I love Sakurako the most in the whole world!"
Needless to say Kasumi walks in on that scene and the next day the suit mysteriously got caught in the incinerator...
Would Kasumi really care that much? I'm envisioning a standard, "Do you even realize what you're doing?" response.
Besides, I doubt that a certain little sister would allow such a thing to be trashed.
Kasumi is oddly ruthless with any kind of object that involves Sakurako's worship of her. Case in point:
https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/a_room_for_two_ch32#17
https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/a_room_for_two_ch35#3
https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/a_room_for_two_ch40#4Hina can't stop her if she isn't around~
That's one of the interesting things about Kasumi. She is incredibly tolerant of of Sakurako's affection until she crosses the line at which point Kasumi will rebuff her and sometimes really harshly depending on how badly she overstepps it.
There are basically two lines Kasumi draws in the sand. One is how creepily obsessive Sakurako is allowed to act towards her and the other is how sexually charged Sakurako's affection is allowed to be. Kasumi loves Sakurako and doesn't mind or often even likes physical affection with her at around the cuddling level, but the moment Sakurako wants or tries to go further than that Kasumi always turns her down and corrects her, sometimes pretty bluntly.
Kasumi is always the one who actively defines the boundaries of their relationship where as Sakurako would have strait up figured out a way have her babies by now if Kasumi had allowed it.

Screw lunch boxes! I have a portable stove.
Yeah, I thought it was pretty hilarious that she is pretty much setting up camp and cooking ramen while playing hooky behind one of the school buildings.
Woo. That was a quick turn about. When she was first introduced I thought she was going to be some sort of seductress or that she'd try to go after one of the girls to add some drama, but that definitely doesn't seem to be the case. I'll look forward too seeing how this new pair works into the existing dynamics. Hopefully we'll see more of her partner.
I still get the feeling she will be a shark with an appetite.
The last page where Kasumi was kissing Sakurako's hair is probably one of the most romantic scene by far.
I didn't get the impression she was kissing her hair, but rather playing with it contently and maybe enjoying the smell. Either way it's heart warming. Those little after chapter bonus illustrations are usually super adorable. I remember seeing a cute one once with the two of them handcuffed together as policewoman and criminal which was fun.

This manga is total crap. It has this gloomy aura about it. I think the author cannot capture a real human smile. The characters have very insincere smiles and that's why the manga feels this way to me. Enough about opinions, though. The real meat and potatoes of what I'm writing is that the characters have very poor emotional intelligence. It's fine enough that they don't understand what the other is feeling, but they don't understand themselves. And everyone on this website just eats it up! Over 5k comments, gimme a break. This manga is a RAG! It's only deep to a simpleton, or an infantile adult. I guess it does capture a high school romance quite well because these characters are mentally undeveloped.
Way to miss the mark. What a half assed attempt at trolling. Come back and try again once your training is complete. At the moment you are only shaming yourself.
Touko gave Yuu the shit end of the stick and then dumped her with it the moment it became inconvenient...
Dumped her? That wasn't how I read her apology--
"I took advantage of her."
"How many times have I forced her to silence herself? How many lies have I forced her to tell?"True, her fear kept her from clearing up the misunderstanding, but I did not read this as a rejection at all; rather, this felt to me like the first time Touko truly acknowledged Yuu.
When I was saying that I was mostly illustrating it from Yuu's perspective. As the audience we get to see Touko's thoughts on the matter which Yuu doesn't.
At this point I could actually see Yuu finally reaching the tipping point and calling out Touko on her selfishness. Touko gave Yuu the shit end of the stick and then dumped her with it the moment it became inconvenient, and for the first time we see Yuu really coming terms with that and connecting it to the pain she is suffering. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
wait a sec, somehow the ( wheat? ) field where shroomhead and egghead walk together.. seems kinda like the same setting where Chito and Yuuri ends up after.
Yeah, that is likely not just a coincidence. if you look at the cover page of the first chapter of this manga you can see two girls that look very much so like Chito and Yuuri sitting together on a bench off in the distance amidst the wheat. Also, if you check out what amounts to the prequel to this series it heavily implies that the world we are seeing in this manga is some sort of purgatory or afterlife. Notice when the older sister goes out fishing in the field, she corrects herself and says rather than actual fish she is trying to capture the soul's of fish.

Matsumoto is sweet as hell, she knows Myako best. I love the way she just casually calls myako's mom "mother".
I think the word you are looking for is insidious. That girl has manipulated and ingratiated herself into Matsimoto's family against her wishes just so she can gain access and control over Matsumoto more freely.

I was hoping to see where that cliff hanger was leading, but I suppose we will have to wait another month for that. One thing is for certain, that epic look of shock and incredulous disgust on Chiaki's face says she's about to kill a bitch.
House wife neighbor lady is beyond adorable. You can tell she loves taking care of the disheveled mangaka girl living next door. So the question is, "How long will it take for Shiro to stumble across some of some of Nanako's naughty manga that were inspired by her?"

This cheered me up on an otherwise awful day.
( ^∇^)
-B-but potatoes can't lewd potatoes.
-I ship the hell out of them, but if I'm being honest... it feels wrong to wish romance on them.
-I'm guilty of this, of course. I think they'd be cute as hell together. But their relationship is so much stronger and so much more special than any sort of romance. Sure, it's possible for them to be romantic on top of what they are to each other now. But I really don't see the point. I love the fan art, and this made me super happy considering the author herself approves. But idk... I can't be the only one who thinks this, right?
-I'm with you. I kinda see them as my daughters so while I enjoy fanarts & joke about them being gay for one another, I don't actively try to ship them since, like, it feels wrong shipping your daughters together.
personally, i hate tkmiz for doing this. i rather have some closure platonic relation ship, when yuuri reunited with chito and they both just grateful they have each other. it makes the show even more unique because the character are like that. but this...this is just pandering...
still im happy for potato they live in peaceful life in alternate dimension, but why did the author did this i dont even know...im sticking with them just being Great friend.
The Girl's Last Tour Anthology is a collection of NON-CANON stories written by various different authors that are basically free form comics very loosely based on either the characters or setting of Girl's Last Tour where the mangakas got to play around and make whatever little story they wanted. It's a bit like a collection of tribute works. This particular story by tkmiz is the bookend to the series that serves as a clever framing mechanism for the rest of the works in the Anthology.
Rest assured the girls still lie their frozen together in eternal slumber beneath the stars atop the crumbling remnants of humanity.
I just caught up on this and Kazami's disgust.jpg face lmfaooooooooo
Yeah, the look on her face was something else. It looked like she had bitten into a cockroach or something.
It always makes me happy to find another chapter of this manga. ٩(^ᴗ^)۶
Hahaha it could be possible that this mangaka could do a good Yuri manga? Really? It could be possible? ALMOST ALL HER STORIES ARE BISEXUAL AS F#VK!!!! AND TOXIC AND SHIT!!!!
If she love so much the men, then do a het shoujo manga xd (i hate this author with my soul, since NTR, all her stories, except the fake marriage, are bad and crap)At this point there's no reason to get your panties in a twist because of her work. It's just her style and what she likes to draw so you gotta accept that. She does have the potential to make sweeter stories (like Renai Manga), but again she prefers this stuff. If you hate her work so much, just look at the tags and move on. Not worth the stroke man.
I'm just sick of her stories, I give her a chance and ALWAYS I over disappointed... don't hide the truth, she's a bad mangaka, that's all, that's why a lot of Yuri fans hate her a lot. And always put shit bisexual stuff...but y'know what? I'm done with her. I preferred ignore everything from this women
Your opinion sucks and you should feel bad.
I don't care about it, more than opinion, it's the truth
Opinion = truth? What are you, a grade schooler?
No, i'm a mature men, and yeah, for me that's the truth.
If you don't like it, not my issue, i'm not toxic yuri fan, i'm just tried to judge what story is bad and what's not, and this like the others is bad...but like someone said before, ignore it and don't give her a chance if you don't like it
No, you are anything but mature and you should be utterly ashamed of the manner in which you are acting. It would have been at least excusable if you were a child.
About the only thing more asinine you could have done on a Dynasty forum would have been to have said, "ALMOST ALL HER STORIES ARE LESBIAN AS F#VK!!!! AND TOXIC AND SHIT!!!!" (Note the only word of yours I changed in that hypothetical quote was "BISEXUAL" to "LESBIAN.")
If you want to curse about and trash talk a story for being LGBT you really chose the wrong place to do it.

There just one thing that bother me. Since there are only girls in their world, do they have to say which gender the person they are mentioning ?
Hmm. Now I'm wondering if there are different gender identities, or if everyone really identifies as a woman. Like, sure, they all are of the female sex, but that shouldn't guarantee they all feel comfortable as women, unless this is really that kind of monotonous universe? You would think they might even have potentially more ways of identifying than we have in the real world.
Considering how quickly the author swept under the rug all males getting wiped out fairly recently in the 1920's (?), I doubt it will be explored thoughtfully. It would be more interesting, but this story is coming across as more non-serious, basic, and with stereotypical depictions of girls/women, so I don't expect it to. It just feels obviously aimed at guys who want to see teen girls kiss and blush first, plot second.I'll check it out again at the end of the year to see where it's headed out of curiosity, but it isn't to my taste at all so far (not unexpected). Hopefully it will do something good and unique in the meantime.
It's been a hundred years since the male gender and it's related psychological archetype was erased from humanity. That's actually a VERY long time. Long enough that pretty much every single living person alive in their world today has never known a world where men existed. There is no living memory of the male gender, rather just second hand information learned from books. Given this it is very unlikely that the people of their current day world would even have much of a concept of what men or masculinity were like and certainly not a full enough working concept of it for somebody to identify intimately with what is now a non-existent gender archetype.
There would likely still be females that would act and think in a manner that our world would consider masculine by our standards, but in their world the idea of masculinity itself is just a faded second hand ghost of a memory. There simply would no longer be another gender to identify with. It would all just be shades of femininity. In fact the idea of femininity itself would likely die out as well eventually since it is now just all shades of being human. It's a bit like imagining how long the concept of light and dark would continue to exist if everyone in the world was permanently blinded on the genetic level.
