I think dating Honoka is like dating a really... REALLY hard to capture specimen. Honoka has a really wide social network and searching for her in the school is like searching for a Mew. She can't just stay calm in one spot. She's practically off having fun and talking about stuff with other girls, laughing and whatnot, and her lover would be jealous really quick. You can't just put a leash on Honoka.... Though now that I mention it, Honoka wearing a leash would look adorable. Kotori pretty much loves Honoka the most out of anyone (I can practically feel those deadly stares of yours, KotoUmi shippers) and she would totally get jealous over something like this. "Don't look at other girls but me, okay?" is something only Kotori would say to Honoka. If it were Umi, she would probably cry about it after Honoka pesters her about it for days. If Eli, she would just keep it bottled up but Honoka would pick it up since she would tell her in the end. Rin, Hanayo and Nico aren't the type who gets jealous over this. Nozomi could seduce Honoka back to her and Maki... She would probably pout so hard that Honoka thinks she did something really, REALLY terrible even though she only talked to some cashier at a konbeni.

Honoka actually has a lot of good points, even though her 'defining' trait is being normal. It's just that Honoka herself doesn't see it. She doesn't see what other people see in her. She only sees what's in front of her. That's probably why Dense!Honoka works out so well. She belittles herself to the point that she could see nothing... 'special' about her. Everyone else sees it, but she doesn't. She could see the limitless potential of others, she could see the future where everything is amazing, she could see things that other people couldn't even fathom, heck she BROUGHT everyone to the top to see view from the stage, yet couldn't see the fine points of herself. And that's why Kotori and Umi knows her so much. All the good points out of Honoka's view, they could pick it out instantly. They know everything about Honoka. The good, the bad, the 'Honoka'. They'll whip her into shape until she can proudly say she loves herself.

I think Honoka and Maki would actually work out, even if they aren't lovers. We all know Honoka's like "lol idc you have to do it anyways" and she'll drag Maki around and the junior would simply give up and comply to her every wishes. And Honoka wanting to sleep together is like a normal occurrence. Maki would be shy and go all tsun on her at first but she'd eventually give up because Honoka's smile is what weakens her the most. (weakens everyone, actually)

I guess it gets pretty lonely at the top. Honoka pretty much gets pushed (by Umi, because she loves her and wants to give her anything and everything) so hard that the only duo she has is with Rin. Their relationship is kinda fun though. Honoka and Rin are both part of the Three Idiots, along with Nico, so they pretty much have a lot of fun just being together and doing stupid things, things that the others are either too shy or too 'stiff' (I'm looking at you Umi, Maki) to try out. Them getting a Duo is just so perfect that it's like it's meant to be. I don't find much for them in a romantic relationship, but I see them as the closest out of anyone. (excluding those childhood friend trio/duos) Plus, I think they sound good together. At least, good enough to compete with the SolGe trio. Now if they put a HonoNicoRin song up, then I'd jump for joy. #IdiotTrioisLove

Now all we need is a Honoka x Nico doujin and we're good to go. Come on, world! SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT!

Even though this is all fun and games, this doujin really portrays Honoka quite well. People often mistake Honoka for this ever-so-cheerful annoying filler character (even though she's practically the leader) but in truth, she's the one who had it the hardest. If you've read her School Idol Diary, then you know that she often belittles herself. It's not like she wanted to play the martyr though. It's that she herself doesn't accept who she is. She tries her hardest to make everyone smile, to push everyone forward. But in truth, she's hurting herself the most and in time, overworks herself until she breaks her limit. The only one she could rely on was Umi, and even SHE didn't know what to do with Honoka at times.

That's why Nico's probably one of the few people who could get Honoka to the right track. To stop her from doing everything alone, from abusing herself. Nico may be an idiot, but she's the idiot who could speak their heart out to her friends without holding back. And that's just what Honoka needs.

The slap was hella funny tho.

I dedicate my first post to this manga which is absolutely GENIUS! The sister-love for me, personally, was what started it all. I wanted to know more and more about the two and as time passes (I read more chapters) I come to love the heroes themselves. I laughed so hard when Captain Japan was introduced and he just gets his butt kicked, same with Aruturo-man and Mighty Blow. I mean, I thought the two of them were practically invincible but the Emperor just wiped the floor with 'em like it's nothing! Goddamn Mika's just too OP. EVERYONE'S too op, to be completely honest.

Anyway, I started to with shipping the two sisters at first but then I realized now after chapters of sitting at the edge of my seat. that MiyuKari is love. I just want Miyuki to just NOTICE Hikari for God's sake and stop 'only' paying attention to her sister. Though the 'I'd watch the world burn for her' scene was so bloody epic. I think I fell in love at first sight.

Btw, the scene with Blue Train and Hornetman was just so beautiful... I think I shed a tear there for a moment.... ONLY A LITTLE, OKAY!

I'm still slightly disappointed that Miyuki is ranked lower than Hikari's sister in the latter's like list. I mean, come on! You need to love her more than the world itself! YOU NEED TO BE ANOTHER MIYUKI! BUT NOT FOR HER SISTER!

As an end note, I really do hope the author does a full flashback on the grand battle against the Durai. I seriously want to know what Yuri's full power is. And i also want to know how Mika stopped Zen going wild in the past. Mika x Zen kinda sounds cute now that I think about it. Oh, and don't tell anyone, but I think Miyuki's a siscon!
