it's a plausible explanation for something fictional dear, no need to it's impossible in reality!!! it, since magic is as far from reality as you can get =P and it's not the only explanation either, just an example that magic doesn't just, "pack up their bags and leaves." it could be dependent on the open mindset of a child. once doubt enters their mind even the tiniest, their minds are disturbed and unable to perform the magic, which in turn grows larger doubt that turns to certainty. a lot of things in our lives are as we think they are after all. or hell it could even just have a lifespan of its own within the child. once they reach adolescence it starts to die away. and before you say THAT'S dumb and unreal just consider how everything in our bodies have an expiration date. why should magic be any different?

it feels like a bigger story was compressed into a smaller one, also the "the magic leaves you when you grow old" trope is dumb, mostly due it being freaking magic i find it odd that the mystical powers of the universe just pack up and move out when you go through puberty, i mean i know teenagers can be whiny but jeez

well really it all depends on how the magic works in the first place. for some explanations it's entirely plausible to see it leave in adolescence (note, not simply because they realize they fall in love like this story did, just to point that out). during puberty not just your body is changing but your hormones and energies also. the same channels that a child would use for the energy required to use magic, would then become clogged and used up by your growing sexual energies. for one example anyways. this can also be sidestepped though, by claiming abstinence. would explain why her mom can't and doesn't think she can do magic since well...lol...she certainly doesn't drink from that cup. she'd also have to emotionally distance herself, and refrain from any physical contact to continue being able to use magic, to keep her energy pathways clear for it.

man it would really seal the deal if the author really went ryou x fuwa and left the twins to their zealous fans lol. for once, the popular student council member/the popular dumb athlete do NOT get the mc! mwahahah!

how can that even be thought of as putting her future first? she had absolutely no reason to go to school in osaka over where she is. all she gave for a reason was a nonchalant that's just how it is answer. if it was cause of a program she'd say so, and if that's the reason and she DIDN'T tell the girl, it's because she doesn't even care enough about her to bother explaining. her father is obviously living where she is already, so it's not even to join any family. could be cause her friends are there but then how could she friends > girlfriend if she actually cared about her gf? the whole issue really lacks creativity and thought imo, which is not really standard to takemiya's other works.

felt a bit forced, like artist did it just for more readers or something. like fanbase is running more along nsfw now so felt she (he?) had to change also

i like this manga but tbh the constant going back to nagging about their "hobbies" is getting a bit overused. not to mention they have like no faith in each other or their relationship if takako is really too scared to just dress like herself without fear of her partner "forgetting" about her or w/e excuse she gave. and if they were really in as deep of a relationship as the author tries to show, after all this time they would not be nagging about all the books and clothes anymore. it feels more like the author just doesn't have anything else for them to say, so keeps going back to that.

i like this manga and these chars but i've never liked characters in insecure relationships. if there's a REAL legitimate reason for it, like they CHEATED on you, then it's understandable, but shinobu has done nothing since they got together (that we know of) to really warrant her insecurity. all i can say is at least it's not shoujou level of insecurity. "oh my god he hasn't looked at me in the last 5 minutes he must hate me!!'

Can we please stop comparing this to Strawberry Panic and look at it on its own individually. First this is supernatural, second Umiyuri looks totally different from Shizuma cause she appears to be evil on that cute innocent adorable body. I saw no damn rings in the anime or at least nagisa owning a ring that was connected to Shizuma. I also dislike some of the concepts in Strawberry panic cause yaya and tamao were left as side characters with no happy ending. I do have to admit that if the author wouldn't have mention etoile this wouldn't have been compare to strawberry panic. Also Yozora appears to have been a lesbian and obviously is dying to kiss Umiyuri when Nagisa has a different personality. Sekai the composer looks nothing like tamao thus is more tomboyish and boy! she capture my attention since in the beginning i didn't like short hair girls to be the protagonist but her personality is amazing , tamao is more girlish and delicate. They even added Kagami as a side character, when there was no kagami in strawberry panic. Towa does remind me of Aname and I am so glad there is no hikari. I like strawberry panic don't get me wrong but I just see a different variety and story in this, can we just give it a chance. Also I hope Yozora stays with Sekai. They are meant to be.

But yeah most of the comparisons are because of the name etoile and that they're predators, Nagisa looks more of a strong protagonist than this one here (Again, most of the "heads over heels" moments Nagisa had at the beginning was because of Shizuma's super power, this one here looks like a fangirl in both body and soul, like the one in Nobara)

how is the rings and necklaces not similar? lol. 2 girls become etoile, they are given matching necklaces, only difference being their color. 2 girls join together in an "engagement" as etoile and chevaliar, and given matching rings. just cause one has rings and the other necklaces doesn't negate the similarity of it.

SP they have necklaces this one rings. 5. an all girl school with an "elite" kind of atmosphere.

I don't really like the "I used to live in America, so I'm fine with kissing my friends," thing. It's just such a cliche excuse, and not very accurate to boot. That kind of stuff is just not common.

ahh soooo agree!!! it is sooooo stupid! NOT ACCURATE AT ALL! lol. i grew up in the nw of US and i- NEVER see ANYBODY just kissing their friends like that. MAYBE a family member, and certainly between parent and child when they are young, you know, not even between siblings. it's always an adult to a younger family member. but still in my experience very very rare. It is SUCH an overused cliche to use as an excuse to have 2 characters kiss, so sick and tired of it. and tbh? downgrades my opinion of an author when i see it used :/

oh and, for starting out saying all of the girls are straight, there sure are a lot of couples starting to show up. way to go back on your word lol.

edit: and the blob that destroyed the seeds deff shows it was something malignant that took the child, making me think more of something forced her to miscarry.

as much as i liked this series i find i don't really enjoy straight up porn scenes as much as say like, ones that leave more to the imagination lol. i mean, they always do the exact same thing in all of em xD sadly a lot of yuri writers don't have a lot of imagination when it comes to making sex scenes that are different haha. always the same thing too! once they go down on the other it's always like, "no, it's dirty!" lol. and sakina's boobs looked way better with her shirt on than off. they looked awesome with great cleavage but naked they looked too big lol. reminds me of manga chikane, although hers are waaay bigger lol. as ironic as this is to say considering how fictional mangas are lol i prefer em to be more realistic :3

hahahha ok, i wasn't going to read it, but for a lark i read the comments and they were so funny i just had to. the art didn't really impress me at first but it actually grew on me, i rather liked how clear is was. and other than the subject matter being mother x daughter the whole thing was extremely tame. although as personal preference i don't like those uh "inside" shots lol. i've read much worse, and much weirder xD anything with tentacles beats this by a long shot lol.
