Not always..

The being in a long term relationship part at least. :) But you're right, there are pros and cons.

being out of the market for a long time, intensifies flirts ignorance XD

I guess that's kind of a good thing right? XD

Because if my memory serves me right and what the last chap has shown me, it seems SuminxSungji's relationship is quite shallow compare to SejuxSumin's in the past?

I always want to put the "perception" disclaimer when it comes to this, but it's kind of hard not to see what you have seen in these recent chapters. Especially during their morning talks.

In the beginning of their relationship, they had their moments, but as the relationship develops, it becomes apparent whether it has the substance to last or not.

Overall, I have noticed a lot of repetition in the content they talk about. Like in this last chapter and in chapter 79 regarding Sungji getting free coffee.

Like what hlama mentioned too:

Something along the line of at first I thought I would be happy just looking at you, then I realized how good it felt to touch you, to kiss you.

That was said in chapter 84 most recently, chapter 64 as well, and the topic of Sungji loving Sumin's face has been mentioned many times, if I recall. How deep is that exactly? To me, it's not the deepest it could be, honestly.

The sex scene in chapter 85 where Sungji asked Sumin what she loved about her, the first thing that came to mind for Sumin was her beauty. And the last chapter shows more of Sumin's thoughts towards Sungji.

Sungji herself is realizing that Seju's relationship with Sumin is hard to beat. They let their guards down with each other. As many have said before, Sumin and Sungji's relationship has been very... cautious.

My guess is she means a personality type, gender may have something to do with it too.

That's what I thought at first. We'll see!

Maybe "hate" as in sexually? That is a definite I think, but I'm not sure if that's what she meant in this case.

it was after he, and Sumin left.. Seju is still covering herself with the blanket.. she was still cold or at least her temperature was low

Interesting...

her cancelation to every future plan.. their life they wanted and their dreams.. and telling Seju to go alone instead. The whole conversation and her blaming Seju for her parent's death really were nightmares.

I agree, that must have been heartbreaking.

back to the rings, do you know that Seju has both rings, her's and Sumin's?.. Foxy lady " Seju has to give Sumin's ring back"

Yes, as indicative of that panel with the flowers in chapter 25. Good job noticing they had their rings on when they had their first time. That is easily overlooked.

Team Gaji has definitely shown that the details matter in every panel. Like that one panel showing Sumin's bed with only one pillow in chapter 86. Very meticulous.

remember in ch4? Seju was pleading for gentleness.. because 3 fingers were just too much! Gold Star indeed XD

This made me laugh. XD I guess that comes with experience.

Thanks a lot for having the time and interest to read the comments I make. <3

They're are always interesting, so no problem. :)

It was Foxy lady, I was sure that Seju didn't sleep with him.. at least willingly.. but Foxy is always 3 steps ahead of me XD .. then she asked me if I would bet against this theory, and I, a suicidal gambler.. refused XD

I still have my reservations about it, but I wouldn't bet against it either. If anything, I'm sure she didn't like it or really want it... You can't give consent if you're that drunk. I wonder how much she remembers of that incident.

not only that.. they will actually continue from where they left off in ch10.. how romantic is that! XD (but it really means that they won't start over.. but try again)

Speaking of the ending being hinted at since the beginning... Chapter 86 adds a new light to chapter 10 as well, showing how much the rings meant to each other.

so they really didn't have the chance to stretch things before the bartender incident XD

True. Sumin has only been seen using toys once I believe and she didn't like it for various reasons.

weallyyy ~ shy face

Haha, yes, I have noticed this and I could also speak for myself too.

ok, I wonder what kind of rumors did you hear (Foxy.. what did you tell her ? T _ T )

lol Oh, curious, who was the first to come up with the hypothermia theory? Was it Foxy lady, you, or both reached the conclusion separately?

Sumin accepted at first, never declined.. just postponed it upon her knowledge that Seju didn't know. BUT, do you see Sumin looking for a job ?! XD

Could you imagine her reaction if she finds out...? Depending on the situation when she does, she might finally be happy.

I remember when we first discussed WDTFS together and I answered a question that you didn't ask because I knew you were logical and would ask it

Yes, I remember too. That was pretty cool. It was regarding whether Sungji and Sumin were possible or not.

as far as I know, a single finger hurt her a little in ch10 even though she was very turned on. So..

Do you think her and Sumin ever used toys? Would that make a difference? XD

first of all.. thanks for taking the time reading such half-assed explained comment XD.

Thank you for your thorough posts. :) Notice how after every chapter, people wait for your analysis? XD Foxy lady was right, you are the Sumin of the forum (sorry you don't have a luxury car or someone like Seju).

It is shown that this kind of rumor was known at some level. You know why Seju accepted to see these blind dates ? TO PROTECT SUMIN !

Never thought about that... but very good point.

they can't be together unless they leave the country. AND they won't leave the country unless they are together.

Hint hint, right?

CORRECT.. dammit, I like sharp people ! hehehe.. the conversation is interesting this way.

Wow, I got that right for once! Awesome.

it's really all about TG willingness to spoon feed AND how much shocking and twisting are they planing to show.

I wonder... What a twist that would be. If I didn't read this forum and that actually happened, I would definitely be shocked.

do you expect that a man could have sex with her and she wouldn't notice or die of pain XDDD
Also, do you think a bartender of a classy top notch bar would risk his job to sleep with a drunk customer? not only that, she is a freaking chaebol !! how reckless

Good questions... I felt something was off as well. Maybe I got so used to situations like that in movies and television that I didn't think it could have been anything else. But I haven't seen one happen to a lesbian who never slept with a man before that. If anything, it would have been with another woman.

Sometimes I feel like a student, learning from my much more knowledgeable teachers in you and Foxy lady. XD But this is more fun. :)

Is the bartender the real reason Sumin and Seju can't be together?

No, as you stated before, it was their underlying issues.

I think ch9 restaurant scene between Seju and Sumin and again this chapter same restaurant scene should be read side by side..

I thought about that scene as well when reading this chapter. Seju knows what Sumin likes and it was implied that Seju knew Sumin would like Sungji.

what does Seju hates the most?..

Taking a wild, probably incorrect guess here... men? Even if it's not that, I did always wonder why Seju slept with a man when she said she wasn't interested. I assumed, in the drunken, vulnerable state she was in, that it could have been possible.

The main reason I'm holding back on accepting the hypothermia theory is... that it is kind of abstract for your average reader to understand. I wonder how Team Gaji would effectively explain it to the reader if that was the case, have a doctor do so, or a witness? The bartender himself? I am not sure. It is noteworthy how Seju was affected by alcohol in chapter 84 though. It showed her low tolerance.

but the main point about insecurity and jealousy is that the person would somewhat feel inadequate and this feeling would be inevitable dating someone like Seju.

It seems like Sumin has always thought Seju was too good to be true. (In reality, she would be, Sungji as well. That's fiction for you!) But I think Seju has proven her loyalty enough, Sumin just has to realize this.

I, somehow, want Seju to be the one meeting her on her way out or something.

Just like chapter 83! How Sumin reacts next chapter can be compared to that one. She didn't even scream Sungji's name as she left.

In that sense, the apology itself doesn't matter much giving the root of the issue.

True, there's not much she can say to prove herself. But, as you know, things can be revealed that can do just that.

this chapter shows us a lot of Sumin's insecurities, she is dating Sungji and yet has all these ideas.. could you imagine how she was like dating Seju ?

Jealousy is a big indicator for insecurities as well and she has shown a lot of that recently.

When I think about it, in many stories, the catalyst for people realizing their true feelings for someone else is jealousy. Seju hasn't given Sumin much to be jealous about in their history. She has slept with a max of 2 people in her entire life? (Not sure how much I buy the bartender theory, but if it is true, that would shake things up.)

Nammi was the one who brought out Sumin's jealousy in chapter 49 and was the catalyst for chapter 50.

I don't think it will be Sumin's move, but Sungji's..

I agree, but it would have to be sort of mutual in order for Sumin to let her go completely. Her thoughts show that it would not be too hard to do so.

Do you think Sumin will run after her?

but have you noticed that for a while now, Seju just sees through Sumin easily !

Yes she does. Seju has been the passive character recently. She didn't even gloat when Sumin discovered the scarf.

What do you think of Sumin's inner thoughts in this chapter? I found them interesting...

Especially these two: "When I think about it, not liking Sungji ssi after knowing her is hard to do." And "It wasn't tough at all..."

It seems like these might play a role in her final choice.

The weird part, Gaji show sumin's thought bubbles... They were usually hidden.

These are probably one of the most telling things in this chapter... We finally get to see more of Sumin's thoughts.

And the topic of Seju choosing employees is touched upon again, as well as the scarf.

so if that's what the general public likes and expect..that's the kind of creative environment they will create..and eventually that's what they will get as well...No supply with no demand lol

That is true, unfortunately. That might be why there is an entire section on Lezhin for BL. XD

XD I see that grape is the more popular fruit lol how sad XD

Also there's the issue of..if what I'm hoping for happens in a way that destroys the beauty of the story (or rather what I perceive as beautiful in this story)

Been meaning to ask you about what you said here... What do you perceive as beautiful in this story? :)

I hope this work can kickstart a sort of paradigm shift so people would think differently

That would be great! But most other works are not up to its caliber yet.

I always feel like typing just JPEG LOL

Haha, I always see it at the end of a file, so it is lowercase after a period, like .jpg. Do whatever you want. XD

well, I know many people who are into novels and such.. I kept recommending this work to them but they are put off by the fact that it's a visual art (comic) and not plain pages.. sigh!

That is sad... and disappointing. The "usual" people attracted to works in this genre are not expecting to read deeply into it, while the people usually not into this genre are better suited to analyze it. What a predicament, that I can't find a good solution for. But that brings me back to an adaptation done right that might widen its audience.

I wonder how would we feel if Sumin or Seju were males.

You know... when I explained a bit of this story to a friend who is not into the genre, I made Sumin a male for reasons said before. Seju's devotion is taken much more harshly when the one she loves is a male, I realized. Double standards for sure. (If it was flipped, the male would seem endearing.)

yoonie0104

I'm afraid they would judge me for what I read right from chap 1, lol XDDDD.

Yeah... I wish I didn't feel that way, but I do. A part of me thinks that this work is too good to be ashamed of though.

what I read was obscenely simple-minded beyond belief and very repetitive in multiple places

Kind of like the Facebook comments. XD

Speaking of audience, I really want to recommend this manhwa to others, but I have to hold back for obvious reasons... or if I do, I would put disclaimers regarding it's content. Maybe I need to find a community for comics like the art house film community who analyzes works and is open to watching most subject matters.

the irony lays when they have the nerve to criticise a work that they don't remotely understand
they truly need to be spoon fed..

Yeah, those kinds of threads are frustrating... WDTFS is much more subtle than other manhwas and, as you said, is not for everyone. (Although I wish it had a larger audience, leading to a greater number of analyzers that read more deeply into things.)

although team Gaji don't have to spoon feed everything they explained in panels and dialogues.. I really WISH they do it once and for all..

What was that thread about? The debunked Seju and Nammi ship?

Also there's the issue of..if what I'm hoping for happens in a way that destroys the beauty of the story (or rather what I perceive as beautiful in this story) then maybe I'd rather not get what I'm hoping for after all lol (humans are hard to please XD)

Haha, I see you're conflicted. I also see why you'd have a soft spot for Sungji. She is very innocent (or was). But if these last few chapters are any indication, maybe the relationship is not what is best for her. I don't like seeing her stressed and insecure.

At this point I don't know if I want to be surprised by the ending or not XD

You're hoping for a Sungji ending right? I guess surprise depends on perception.

When it ends, I will figure out if mine was right or not. If it isn't, then I'll have to view the manhwa differently. More like "Pulse," if that's what the authors wanted.

joined Jun 23, 2017

This is pretty specific xDDDD. I think you already have one ending in your mind xDDD.

True, it's the most obvious one at this point. Obvious in terms of where the story is going.

It's mutual, the rope tangles all three of them.

I feel the same way. It has to be mutual: a break-up and a make-up, for the ending to be satisfying.
