Foxy lady

Oh, I remember you mentioning about my username a while back. You can call me whatever you want. XD

The phone is much more convenient for me. :) Portability is key.

Is there a superlative which signifies that I totally agree with you?.. hahaha...

Haha, thanks, Foxy lady.

Orange

Hahaha this should be liberating! Once you go big it'll be hard to go back XDDD

I'm actually mainly using my phone as well, just cause it is always on. Not a fan of too many tabs open on my laptop.

now that I think about it.. Sumin and Seju studied at the same university and Seju knows her qualifications and her strengths pretty well.
I love that now Sumin and her colleagues could see that..

inferiority complex is slowly fading.

Very true... that will definitely help.

Foxy lady

Bottomline, we have a soft spot for Seju character. hehe..

So does the author. :) She arguably has the most to empathize with, so this was probably the author's intention for the readers.

heey.. I know you missed meeeeh

I definitely have. XD I think others have as well.

it means that Sumin is a very competent manager even if Mr. Kim was surprised that she was hired in that position.. it will also show Sumin that Seju chose her because she believes in her competency.

Good point... It was not just nepotism.

Welcome back, Nora89. :)

Okay, where to begin...

Should I make a bold prediction and say that we might get a flashback of Seju and Sumin seeing the first snow together and falling in love? I'm guessing you were probably thinking the same thing. However, there might not be time for that.

this is very true.. but then I honestly don't want Sumin to leave just for the sake of his will.

That would make the ending regrettable though right? I wouldn't want that either. Sumin has more thinking to do about where her heart is.

even before Seju knew that the gloves are for her, she liked Sumin craftiness hahah.. I agree with Foxy lady about the care and the precision that Sumin put into the gloves..

I haven't thought about that either. Foxy lady always brings a new perspective on things.

She knows that Sungji is loyal and honest, still she had a problem with jealousy, and it is sure was hell for Sungji to trust Sumin whom she has every reason to doubt !!!

That is true... Sumin has trust issues for both of them. Odd, because there is no reason to doubt Sungji. Again related to her inferiority complex, I'm assuming.

I would love to read the raws, if I understood Korean. I tried reading a previous chapter before the translation and perceived the chapter way differently than intended. Not a good idea.

Are you Korean, by the way?

I see her car and the next panel shows the "breaking news" headline begin to show. These headlines that show on the bottom of a newscast tend to repeat many times.

I don't see much of a point in just showing her in her car in that situation. Unless the point was to show her being reminded of the first snow.

In the end, it is no use to debate this. XD Sumin will find out eventually and I don't think the way she finds out would matter as much. Her feelings afterwards are what counts.

It only matters if she was the one to call Seju. But it is most likely her brother, or the hospital. But again, all speculative, we will find out next chapter.

roamsl

Agreed.

Different perspectives. I'm not familiar with the saying, but I'm assuming it applies when you witness the first snow in a... "happier" atmosphere. One full of love and adoration. Even if Sungji and Sumin talk, I doubt it would be an "in love" atmosphere. That's also why it would not apply to Sungji and Seju here.

They're the main theme after all but they can use it to make an ending completely the opposite to strongly prove their point. XD

That would... not make sense honestly.

EDIT:

I perceive it as she was startled by the beep and drove pass the tv monitor. But we'll see next chap xD,

You could perceive it like that. Or the beep happened because she wouldn't move her car, as she was startled and "frozen" by the news of the death. We will know for sure later.

What's the significance of first snow?

It says in the chapter, explained by the male co-worker. "If you see the first snowdrop together, your love will be forever."

How do people perceive these lines from Sungji?

The definitive answer will be revealed later...

Been wondering the same thing. It's either an ultimatum or letting go.

Enk

I think the aggressive take would be that Sungji is effectively saying "I don't care about your feelings Seju, Sumin is mine so stay away from her"

Not likely. Sungji knows she can't make Seju do that. She is too kind as well (or is she?).

I might be writing to short for this part. I mean Sumin and Sungji will have a talk under first snow or sth xD, while Seju might have left for her father's funeral preparation.

Isn't the saying, according to the translation, "the first snowdrop" as in, that has already happened? Looks to be too late.

I'm curious what comes out of the talk too.

Edit:

The scene is like this, when her car was stopped, the news is about the weather, then someone honk their car and Sumin was out of her daze, driving past the Tv monitor, that was when the news about the death came out xDDDD

Or maybe she saw the news, given her expression? I'm just questioning her expression right now. Either that or she remembers something again (probably the first snow, if that). She seems awake already before the beep.

Team Gaji loves "forever" don't they? The scar, the tattoo, the rings, "staying by your side," the promise, now the "first snow" saying.

This is what makes the story lean towards a certain way right now. As well as the end goal, which seems to be closer and closer.

Nice post.

First snow together might not be SejuxSumin, I think xD, its SungjixSumin. But it would be a sad day for Seju. Very sad day.

Didn't they start dating only months ago when it was not winter? I will stand corrected if you show me otherwise. The first snow of the winter happened at the end of this chapter where Sungji and Sumin were clearly separated.

Given Seju and Sumin have known each other for more than 10 years, you'd think they would've experienced a first snow at some point. Statistically speaking.

Edit:

The important thing is, Sumin hasnt known about the death yet

Not sure about this. She may have seen the "breaking news" on the monitor.

I'm guessing Nora89 is sleeping right now. Maybe she wanted to see how the discussion would go without her?

joined Jun 23, 2017

Not used to people agreeing with me on here : P

Not used to you agreeing with me. XD

Also, something else that came to mind: Sungji still wanted to hear Seju's side of the situation, even when Sumin explained it to her already. The trust is just not there.

I feel like she has had less screen time than the others lately.
While she's been in the chapters she's felt like a third wheel.

Agreed. I think she feels the same, honestly.

joined Jun 23, 2017

Sungji kind of impresses me lately, she's quite tough and resilient.

I thought she has always been kind of resilient, on the outside at least, in terms of Sumin and Seju's relationship. Recently, she has been cracking under that pressure. Now she has decided, enough is enough, something has to change. Good on her.

joined Jun 23, 2017

either a plea for her unrequited love or somehow trying to help push Sungji and Sumin together

I don't think it's bad intentions but i really can't see an altruistic motive behind it.

I think it's simply her final plea to Sungji. That's all she can say. No bad intentions or altruism, agreed.

3 - And the father dies.. will Seju be made the new head of the Baek enterprises or what. Will Sumin stay by her side? Will someone finally kill Seju?

I would think about his will. Nora89 went into detail about this many times.

No one in particular. I like opinions that are short and to the point while whatever I am reading or watching is still ongoing.

I get it. Tl;drs or "bottom lines" are great for you then I guess.

I think i know where they are going to go on this but I'm not confident enough to make what i assume clear so i'll wait and see if i am right.

Maybe Nora89 is rethinking the bartender being the team leader thing. I guess she's busy right now.

Other than that, things are going where they said it might. Sungji has made her choice and the chairman and his will are coming into play once again.

As we wait for Nora89 or Foxy lady's take on this chapter...

Sungji says there is "only one" thing for her to do and whatever this thing is, it will make sure Sumin "won't be hurt anymore." This makes me think... what is the extent of Sungji's "power" here? She can't force Seju to do anything, nor Sumin... unless she gives her an ultimatum of sorts. Can this be the "if you love someone so much, you should let them go" kind of situation? Curious...

Sumin says, "But the feeling of pity and wanting to help was bigger than the worry." This might indicate who she prioritizes.

Seju is aware how much Sumin and Sungji both do not trust her. She is aware that she has been Sumin's "leftover love." But she knows Sungji is miserable too.

Sungji knows the situation has to change and seems to finally take charge.

I love how Team Gaji plotted the end of the chapter after Seju gives Sungji her "final plea." Everything happens as the first snow falls down...

When I think of snow in this story, I think of chapter 2, maybe it relates to that saying. That is probably reading too deeply into things though.

Not good for Seju at all xD

Not good indeed...and did team leader quit? WTF!

I... would wait a bit to judge on how "good" it is for either side. Sungji seems to have made her decision and we'll see what it is next chapter (or even the one after that).

I like the storyboarding in this chapter. Unique, once again, Team Gaji. Nice job.
