Well if you live in the right areas of some towns like the one Prefecture of Tokyo and then the town of Kyoto Japan. Yet you have to live in those parts of town of towns. They are only recognized in the spots that it is legal and I it is not quite a full marriage. I bet all of Japan has this Second class Marriage for LGBT just before they make it a full out Marriage.

This should also have a Marriage tag with it, or a almost marriage tag.

Let's think happy thoughts. They actually got married but in another country that allows same sex marriage. They just couldn't get married in Japan like they wanted to. So their dream of getting married in Japan just couldn't come true.
