Huh, I've never seen this crackship before. Looking at this artist's Pixiv, Kyouko x Remilia is their OTP - I wonder what made them ship these two so hard?
Also apparently 8/4 is Kyouko's day because of a pun:

I don't think Touhou artists need a reason for OTPs. They just throw darts at two characters and stick with that pairing.

If anything, I noticed almost every touhou crack ship with a tag on Pixiv has at least one dedicated artist for each.
