Eeeh, have you completely missed the main appeal of the DynaTraps Reader? I'd go as far as to say that most transwomen in manga are moeblobs more femme than the femmest of ciswomen.

Also: Whoa, I didn't even notice the transgender parent. I think the main reason to have really masculine looking transwomen is to show the reader that they do indeed have the secondary sexual attributes that made society assign them a gender that they do not identify with. I mean, it's a story element that you want the reader to catch, and readers can be quite stupid... I missed it on both of my previous read-throughs >.<

Eh? I can see that Mira draws somewhat like Morinaga, but I wouldn't call it a knockoff. I mean, Miras' art has enough uniquenses to distinguish it from... well, any other artist. (Atleast that's what I think.) Maybe it's just the "dark-haired meganeko + blonde" duo that just screams Morinaga that makes them seem more similar than they usually are?

We rarely see Yuri mangas like those. Most of them have nearly no plot -they get together and have sex, that's how Yuri is.

Oh, I do disagree with this statement! There is more yuri that totally forgoes sex, than there are yuri stories that depicts/implies sex.

We have 5 bigger yuri-themed publications:

Dolce and Hirari both are almost completely void of sex. Tsubomi wasn't as shy of sex as the previously mentioned ones, but it still almost never had sex in any stories. Yuri Hime occationally has sex in their stories. I still feel that a majority of stories in Yuri Hime avoid the topic of sex. Aya Yuri, on the other hand, is porn, and there is sex everywhere. However it has about half the amount of pages as Hirari has, so for every pornographical story there are 1.5 stories without sex to make up for it, just in Hirari!

You should think again before you imply that my yuri is... impure...

It is pretty nice indeed, but I'd say that Morinaga's stuff is always generally nice. I don't think I'd be disappointed if she brings out new couples, instead of revisiting old ones. Although, if she ever did bring back an old couple ala "Kisses, Sighs and Cherry Blossom Pink", I have to say that I'd probably want it to be this one. They are in a really interesting possition, and have so much ahead of them.

The first time I've read this chapter and saw the character roster I had Shoujo Sect flashbacks. You know, the first chapters where it's just random couple of the week having sex for no particular reason. So I understand your pessimism as I'm not a fan of that either. But it will eventually go somewhere.

Eh? That was the only part of the series that I ever enjoyed. I really liked the first chapter, and the second chapter when I just closed my eyes every time the words "incest" or "sister" appeared in text. (And isn't "being in love" reason enough to have sex? Do I just imagine there being romance in those chapters?) However, the other chapters I completely disliked. (Except maybe for the last couple that was introduced.)

I want this series to be the opposite - crap start, but a decent read after that, instead of a good start with only crap following it.

I didn't say it wasn't molestation. Fondling someone's crotch without consent always is, regardless of motivation. I'm saying it's not a case of "horny girl randomly rapes another who gets into it."

Oh, I wanted more to show that the senpai's intent seems wicked from the start... well, atleast to me it does. And wait a minute now. Where does the "rape" line go? I mean, if we look directly at the next page, she has pushed the kouhai down and is still fidgeting on her sex. Am I deluded thinking this counts as sex between women? Start of sex? (As in, a little bit more than molestation.) As the kouhai does NOT give any consent at all, this just... feels rapey to me, for the lack of a better word. As for the rest of the story I just can't get the foul taste of the senpai taking advantage of the kouhai out of my mouth.

That might be true for this one chapter, but this is only the first chapter of a serial which I hope will prove to be yet another example of what I'm talking about.

Oh, I certainly want this series to provide a couple or two with a romance that has a bit of substance, it's just that I don't really trust Asagi to provide that. (Especially not with this start. This school feels to me like a place where girls have sex, not where girls fall in love. And then have sex...)

Oh, no one. (However there seems to be a handful of yuri fans who will read (and like) anything that's "yuri." Not that there's anything wrong with that, I'd love to like more things.) It's just that by saying you value someone's work just because the author generally avoids "unpleasant surprises" that yuri "all too often contains," then you give me a little vibe that you might like the work just a little bit extra because the other works didn't contain those things you dislike. Not that I dont have similar biases, I really do, heh.

I'll just paste what I wrote on YP regarding the random rape thing: "Sara is pretty screwed up herself so I took Itsuki's act more as a warning. (Hell, she even says so.) She didn't get turned on until Miharu reacted the way she did if you look at the blushing and facial expressions. It went out of control, for both of them."

Let's not forget that this is before she has been "warned" about the senpai, and knew anything about her intentions. And as for how the story unfolds, I still interpret it as the senpai taking advantage of a much less powerful and inexperienced girl. It doesn't matter whether her intentions were "I'm gonna sex her up" from the start or not. (Which I actually think she was set out to do.)

You might find it tiring, I find it wonderfully reliable and consistent. I know what I'm after when I read Asagi Ryuu, and it is always faithfully and dependably delivered:

A) hot, beautifully drawn yuri sex which invariably grows into a happy romance, where the sex is

I must disagree on this part! Some stories have bad ends (The Rites of the Moon Princess, that untranslated one which ends in marriage for the MCs love interest), and some stories are just sex without any kind of romance at all. (This chapter amongst others.)

C) a seasoning of harmless fetishes, some I like ("body size gap" would be a better way to put it than "age gap" in this and several other cases), some I regard as a guilty pleasure (saliva trails), and some I merely tolerate (watersports).

While I do like some of Asagi's fetishes, I wouldn't really call watersports "harmless." I think that one can scare a handful of readers away from his works. (Specially as the liquids he draws looks really... thick... in my eyes. Sometimes it's like the girls urinate gelatin.)

Personally I adore the way he draws fleshy bodies. I mean, look at the way those fingers disappear in her thighs:

In a world where reading yuri all too often contains unpleasant surprises, whether we're talking bad relationship endings or sexual elements that you didn't want, I value Asagi Ryuu's work for always being what I expect it to be.

I might have gotten involved in the yuri scene way later than you have, but I very, very seldom find elements like those in what I read. I feel that I can afford disliking stories even if they're void of sexual elements I dislike and the girls get together.

As for Asagi, I love his art, but not his stories. If I am looking to read a story that I'd like, I wouldn't consider him. If I was just looking for great looking art (or just porn) to drool at, then he is a valid option.

Seems like it, although (from a very brief search) I've found nothing else scanned on the web. The website link in the doujin itself redirects to here, though, which mentions a 5/25 chapter in dolce, among other things. Pretty exciting find, actually.

I'd say this story is yaoi. The Adam/Eve system is a social construct identical to the genders we know. Since Adam is a carbon copy of Man, the main couple are two men. And isn't a romantic story depicting romance between two men yaoi?

Were these de-censored by Yuri-Project or were they like this in the original manga?

I don't know why, but OKS COMIXs' yuri stuff is really, really light on the censoring.

The version on MF was an incomplete draft that was posted without Yuri Project's knowledge or permission. This is the complete, quality-checked version.

Nah, it was a speededit someone else did with the translation posted in pure text on Yuri Project. I think both scanner, editor AND translator edits better than the edit that was on Mangafox.

Oooh, there are soooo many great couples in this IP! And while I think good doujinshi is what makes a couple great in Touhou I simply can't enjoy doujinshi that disrupts any of my ships once I've started shipping.

My personal favourite must be Mokou / Keine.

I also adore Yuugi/Parsee, Yuuka/Wriggle, Marisa/Alice, Sakuya/Meiling, Yuyuko/Youmu, Reimu/Yukari and, like, a bunch more.
