I really like how Lotte was checking Teti out. I wish manga did that more often and not just "I love you even though you're a girl" or "let's have sex because we love each other". Like but I has to be "pure".

The trouble I have with seeing the main character as aro or ace is much the same trouble I have when I see a trans character show up in manga. I simply don't trust J. Random Mangaka to know enough about the topic to Get It Right. And honestly, other than rare exceptions in the case of trans characters, manga in general hasn't given me much reason for confidence. I have my doubts whether the author knows much at all about ace and aro people, and it's mostly by coincidence their story concept resonates with those who are.

I could be happily wrong about that. I hope I am. But I find it's the exception rather than the rule.

The only time I've seen a trans character done right was in Kashimashi

Oh man. All the chills.

I don't think this is over yet. At least, I hope it isn't because I'm pulling hard for Hitsugi. The one thing that gives me hope is that Hitsugi is in the middle of swinging her sword back, looking like she's still getting ready to strike. I think she knew she wouldn't be able to parry Akira's attack in time, and so she did the only thing she could to survive: deflect Akira's sword with that big, stubborn, idiotic head of hers. I just feels like the thing she'd do.

Um, to me it looks like she succesfully parried but could only do it from one armd, hence why her arm got throw to her side. You can see she puts her sword up in the air in the big ass panel on the top of page. That arm is probably in a world of hurt, a downward strike like this with 2 hands against one is like... The world fell down on you suddenly.

Honestly if this was anyone else I would say this cliffhanger is a defenitive loss, but then again it's Hitsugi so...

I think Hitsugi could still win. Remember, both Nagi and Yuho know Aikido techniques, and Hitsugi seems to know so many different techniques from different styles of fighting. Plus she lost a leg. https://youtu.be/98yRuBkUBGQ?t=49s
Check that video out, it's a position that Aikido practitioners train in.

Badass Hitsugi is badass. This fight is awesome.

As for the stupid moron thing, the way I understand it, it's because both Sae and Akira lack the glorious "I do what I want and if you don't like it, you're no fun!" that pretty much define Hitsugi. :p

Yeah, that's about right. Hitsugi is privilieged enough to do anything and everything because of wealth and being allowed to do anything by virtue of literally the boss and owning everything in the setting.

I've always considered her to be the "stupid" because she most probably won't understsnd why and how people do things. It's not that regular folks can't do anything they want, they sure can, but sacrifices will be made in some way for that to happen. That's not the case for her. Consequences don't exist for her actions ( within reasonable boundaries ) and that skews her views on things.

That is not to say I dislike her or that she isn't a hard worker but It's an aspect of her that is a flaw. Which actually makes the character a tad more believable.

Who's this man btw in the chapter? Is this a fiancé, an annoying uncle and/or family member?

That's why she says she won't mind losing. She knows this.

Also the guy is Akira's cousin not brother. Akira is an only child, which is why her father is upset he doesn't have a son

I didn't get it, why are Akira and Sae stupid morons? I mean, they are just trying to work out of a bad situation.

Because they aren't doing it for themselves. They don't really WANT to do it. It's the same thing Hayate went through in the farewell festival. She wasn't doing it for herself, that's why when there was no reason to stay, she was sulking. But she finally chose to stay because she wants to.

While i like Girlfriends and Sasameki Koto, I lije Strawberry Shake Sweet more because i like Hayashiya Shizuru's sense of humor. Also I really like how Julia handles problems that could have been much worse if she was like the main characters in other yuris. And despite androgyny being normal in the lgbt community, most yuris lack that. I like how Ran is portrayed as very attractive.

Yuris tend to either pander to a male demographic or be overly melodramatic. Either crack animes like yuru yuri, or drag out with drama like Girlfriends. (Actually Octave comes to mind here). I think it's because people are always trying to show the hardships of coming out. If they don't do that then the mangas get criticized that "they could have been straight/a guy and nothing would change". But i don't want to see the same kind of thing over and over. SSS was something fun for once and i could tell Shizuru really enjoys this, and I can tell it's a manga by a lesbian for lesbians.

Sasameki Koto could have been much better if it didn't start to drag on halfway through. It's like it was trying to find ways to keep going. It was my favorite at first.

I was wondering when someone would have the hots for the sensei. She looks to charming to be ignored.

I remember back when A's was airing, I was in love with Nanoha anime, and I kept seeking Nanoha+Fate doujins all day long. Then Strikers came, although the change of settings took me a little off balance, it was still great... then Force, then Vivid, and the series is just Nanoha only in name...

I wish it could go back to those times when the series was still great, when NanoFate were still the main characters, when you could laugh at the characters doing random things while important plot points where discussed, when the magical girl series suddenly has the intergalactic militia involved and not the other way around. Damn, I even miss Yuuno hanging around with the rest of the party (and Arf, of course). But I guess it won't be possible, specially since the only reboot was to shamelesly promote a game through sex appeal.

The series is dead to me now. I loved it so much that i feel betrayed by the way it changed. Just look at ViVid, with it's power level all over the place: Back in the first series Nanoha was considered a rarity, the raw power she had could surpass that of the military trained mages, and now we have a tournament full of random kids who seem like they could give Nanoha and Fate a good beating (at least as they were at that age).

Should read this manga continuations, I would have been happier if Striker's end was the last thing I knew about the series.

I agree with this. When i saw Fate put in that position by her adopted son, i was done with this.

This is a really interesting and i think fujiwara should have long hair! >w<

If you think that, you are missing the point of the story.

At first i thought this would be an interesting take on gender roles and anarchy (meaning rebelling against authorty, not chaos and violence). But i was wrong, there are some things that don't make sense in the story. I still like it but i was a bit disappointing. 40 years would be enough for the younger generations to adapt to a new culture. They should already have adapted to there being no men, so this paradigm of "you are a girl too" doesn't make sense. Such stereotypes that single out women, like if there is an other still. It could just be that the authorities are enforcing this dichotomy. If so then that would make sense, but it doesn't come across that way.

The change in Eita/Chinami's personality from kicking a guy with a knife to being so freaking defenseless in all later chapters, along with how solid Oguri route has established, was pissing me off to no end and keeping me away from this manga. I frankly doubt it, but I hope things start going in another direction after ch 11.

i agree. It's like the author believes there is something inherently different in the behaviour of men and women. If so then i'd like him to explain homosexuals.

Is my favorite along with Morishima Akiko. They make some pure yuri with some fun characters and some great humor. Yuri tends to be lacking in those things. Just now I read 2 melodramatic manga without a happy ending. And if its not that then its just some trashy stuff. A few are funny but they are mostly oneshots. Well there is Fujieda Miyabi, who DOES have some good stuff, but they aren't as fun as my 2 favorite. So what I'm saying is we need more good stuff like that, including an anime. They need to be recognized, ya know?

i come here to read the yuri so as long as the het stuff doesnt get in the way of the yuri releases, i'm fine. though the het porn going on top would be bad for the public. Though i don't understand why this site has some het stuff you can easily find in other sites.
