I just powered through all available chapters of Watamote today because people said there was yuri at the end. It was tough. I felt second-hand embarrassment all throughout the first half but dear GOD was it worth it to get to see Tomoko slowly building her harem without even trying!

I blame most of the yuri fandom. Lets face it, most of the fandom just want to see girls kissing and banging. People don't care about a solid plot. That's why Citrus is so popular, the plot is boring, but as long as girls are banging every now and then people will read it. But taste is subjective so there is nothing we can do about it. The most popular will survive.

Ugh, but seriously though, I hate this "I am in very gay love with you but I have to marry a man because of responsibilities and expectations" trope because yuri has such a bumpy track-records when it comes to happy endings. Normally, I would have just been able to tell myself that it'll be fine, it'll work out in the end, but because it's yuri, it can go either way because drama. I can seriously see the next chapter taking place after a friggin' time-skip where Mei has been married for years. Ugh!

Probably due to her mother making extremely well-balanced meals. A nice body is built on like 30% exercise and 70% diet, and japanese day-to-day food is generally pretty healthy.
