Hmmmm, this particular topic about lezhin, I wont give any comments, since even though you have authorities of the site, you cant force an author to change their philosophy about their story to how you want it to be. If I were an author, I wouldn't accept it. My story, my baby, my way xDDDDDD.

About wdtfs's ending, honestly, I'm really honest here (you should remember our bet xDDDD), the ending has never changed. Its always SuminxSungji from the very beginning, XDDDDDDD.

My thoughts are actually about Seju's role. They upgraded Seju's role over the time. She might be still the antagonist but they want her to be not just a normal antagonist, after all the love she has received.

true but i think i'm found of love doctor's ending better because they ended things neatly. but the biggest difference between Yo-ahn and seju is that Yo-ahn somehow was able to find happiness away from the previous love (blossoming romance or in friendship?). which i think was done a lot better than seju's end. i do feel like it needs work but the best thing about it though is that at the very least they established you rooting for the main couple. i can't help but still think i was a little forced into to accepting sungjixsumin with how they didn't write them up strong enough. but oh well, we got new stories popping up that have potential in breaking the usual threads. so let's at least look forward to that.

I know that The Love Doctor ended things neatly xDDDDDD. My point is, Korean manhwa lately has taken the step to build a "half good half bad" antagonistic character (started from wdtfs, I think) but still doesnt go as far as making that antagonist go further than her assigned role from the beginning. This makes the story quite predictable though, the story remains going around the protagonist and we probably all know the ending without reading. I'm still waiting for a manhwa that makes THE bold but awesome move about the third character XDDDDDD

Back to wdtfs and the love doctor, I agree that Yo-ahn's ending is better than Seju's ending even though both have the same fate, at the end of the story. Seju's ending is nowhere near healing, she is merely just a tool for the main couple's plot. Seju left in misery while in Yo-ahn's case, we can see the healing part. None for Seju.

The most pity thing is that Yo-ahn's character is not as well-built as Seju's but she got the better ending, lolllll, or maybe because Seju is too well-built, a normal ending for third character like Yo-ahn is not suitable for Seju, LOLLLL

As for the main couple, well, Erea and the doctor is waaayyyyyyyyyy better than SuminxSungji, LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL. I actually liked the couple and had hard time thinking how to make Yo-ahn happy but also wanting to have this couple work, LOLLLLL. I really like them, especially Erea, one hell of personality, that girl xDDDDD. Such a shame that TLD strayed away from the main couple to build other canon ships and lacked of main characters' development after that so I dropped it xDDDDDDD. Still, I love all three main characters there and I agree that TLD's ending is acceptable, considering they had successfully built a main couple that everyone can root for, unlike WDTFS.

• Sumin's father worked for Seju's dad. He seems to be a manager or sth.

• The novel that Sumin read,, its cover has Team Gaji as its author, as for the title, I cant read it since Sumin's hand kinda covered it, maybe this will be the title for their next short story

Wow, new chap is out and wow, its so hard to imagine two of them not together in the future with this side story.

God, their interactions are better than any of their scenes in the main series.

Really off topic but it seems The love doctor has just ended also, everyone, and as expected that the main couple remains....the ending couple =))))))). I dropped this story long ago but I read the ending from other people. The third character, Yo-Ahn, just like Seju, ended up not being with the one she loves xDDDDD.

I still remember I liked this character more than the other two when I was still reading it xDDDDD. She is not as well-built as Seju but she has that "Seju-third-character" vibe. Not sure about her character development later on but this ending makes me wonder this though:

This ending, together with wdtfs's ending, I really wanna know when will Korean manhwa take their comic stories to go out of the norm for their ending? Japanese mangas have gone with "the antagonist goes protagonistic" a few times but Korean manhwa still seems to stick with fairy tale endings, lollll

Their Story and Fluttering Feelings are the same type of story, together with Citrus, and some more. From what my friends have said, Their Story has a faster development between two girls than Fluttering Feelings, FF is real slowwwwwwwwwww, I honestly agree, lolll, but I still love FF, lol.

On a lighter note XDDDD, I recommend you guys to read Tamen de gushi if you guys are interested in some light story like Fluttering Feelings XDDDDDD. I havent tried reading it yet but my friends seem to like it.

The art is definitely not as awesome as wdtfs but its acceptable, and if you like the kind of story like FF, this story could be for you XDDDDDDD.

She is not perfect and acted evil from time to time so to be able to get a lot of love, its questionable to many people.

I do actually think that (for the purposes of the story dynamic) Seju is overly-developed compared to the main pair.

Compare to other supposed-to-be-main couple, Seju is definitely over-developed xDDDDDD. As a mere antagonist, Seju shouldnt have that much details about her back story, her own emotional struggles and especially her love for the 1st main protagonist. This makes her overshadow the main couple and thus making the couple less special.

But if Seju is not an antagonist but as someone who has too many potential factors around her, her love, her past, her personality, Seju is under-developed. She has too much potential but didnt get to grow to the expectation of what she is possessing.

Basically, Seju is over-developed as an antagonist but didnt get to develop more to be a protagonist even though her back story is solid enough to be one. Seju is pretty much a half-ass character, lollll, too much to be antagonist but not get to be a protagonist.

Well, after all, Seju is the author's biggest success for winning readers' love but she is also their biggest flaw.

I hope you still read the thread cause I'm giving you a proper answer as a Seju lover and a reader. It bugged me that you said you want a proper answer than general like Nora xDDDDD. And I hope you have enough patience to read my post, lol.

Honestly, though, to me, Seju is under-developed, lol. She has a potential back story, an interesting personality (cool, cold, quick wit and sarcastic sometimes) and a never-dying love. She has all the potential stuff to grow more than just an antagonist. This, once, has frustrated me to no end. Cause with a little touch, she could become an ultimate protagonist and grows more than this.

Anyway, back to answer your question. I think, in your comment, there is already a hint of the answer.

Her feelings do seem genuine your words

No matter who you are with a different perspective, if you're sane and not blinded by hatred towards Seju, one thing you have to remember from her is her love for Sumin. Isnt that already different than a typical antagonist? You could see her love for Sumin is incredible. She loves Sumin than anything else. And I think, at the end of the story, her love for Sumin has out-shined Sungji's, imo. A normal reader cant say Sungji loves Sumin more than Seju even at the end of the story but many could say "hey, I think Seju's love is greater than Sungji's". This is the difference. The protagonist's love cant be more than the antagonist's love. Its comparable and at some point its even in the losing side.

One more thing about Seju is she is not entirely good, nor is she entirely bad.

There are 2 types of typical antagonist in any kinds of stories: one is entirely bad who does all the things to get to the main character and pushes the protagonist into her worst nightmare, one is entirely good and angelic who is doing and supporting the protagonist in silence and love her in pain and agony and in the end, supporting the main couple without reasons or any will of fighting back.

One thing in common from this kind of antagonist? You cant relate to this character, one is too evil and one is too good to be true so you'll whole-heartedly support the main couple (even though, sometimes, there readers who might love the angelic antagonist, lolll)

Seju doesnt fit in into two kinds. She is in between two kinds, lolll. Not entirely good but not entirely bad. She is not as perfect as Sungji (sorry I still cant understand Sungji's angelic actions somehow), not as reasonable as Sumin (many readers think Sumin is more reasonable than Seju, I agree). But that makes her more human and I can understand why she did what she did. I can relate to her and sympathize her. This is the important point. I can understand her actions, based on my own experience as well as her past and her childhood, you might not be able to understand her, its up to the readers' emotional state and mindset anyway, but a lot can relate to her more than Sungji. Through her actions, good and bad, along with her mistakes, I could understand her.

For example, she lost Sumin over a cheating scenerio, based on her own insecurities about the ring. I can relate to her. No human is perfect, we can make a mistake and when you love someone too much, you'll afraid of losing that person, and build your own insecurities

Sungji is like a perfect image of what we humans want to be but never be able to be, who never makes a mistake, who is always so calm and come up with a perfect action and reasonable solution.

Seju is a clear version of us more. Someone who could make a mistake but desparately try to get back to what we once had, what we regret but in the end, we just had to let go cause we know its gone.

As an antagonist, Seju is a success. Where else can you find a perfectly-built like Seju? From the stunning appearance to complex personality?

She is just antagonist so she has to fill her basic role, the third wheel of the main couple and gets in their way. She has to fill that role, so sometimes you'll feel she is just that. She could be more but the author hasnt make her to be that far. Its regrettable.

I only focus on what this side story is showing me, and completely dont think about all the "what-ifs" and I find myself thoroughly enjoy the chap and how cute they were xDDDDDD

10 chaps are for this side story alone. So to see Seju, we should have way more than 10 chaps. Next side story is also about Seju and I think Seju and this Dowon's story should be around the first side story's length or longer, since their story needs a lot of story-telling.

Honestly though, I dont like the flashback in the car much, lollllll. The scene with Sumin without bras is fun but overall, I dont like that flashback, I dont like the mature content, I think, it reminded me of SuminxSungji's couple with all of their sex and how it lacks of emotion. i know its different but well, lollll. I like it way much more when they showed the high school scenes, both of them are so cute.

Anyway, true to my thought, their moments at the beginning of their relationship is different from SuminxSungji, lolllll. Shy, cute and childish =)))))))). Which is good, because I've always considered SuminxSungji is too fast and lack of shy and fluttering moments.

Lol, this is not how I want for SejuxSumin's flashbacks, I want to know how they got close, lolll, how did Sumin get to be close to that rich cold kid named Seju, lollll

Well, at this moment, when I've looked at this new character for like hundreds of times, lolll, I think the author want to give a vibe that is not hot or sexy for the new girl, they might want to give Seju a girl with cold looks but soft inside, and kind of a private girl(?), sth like that. And also a girl with tomboyish look but not too much.

This girl seems to have a story on her own, judging how she was a swimming athlete but currently working in a field that is nowhere near water. For someone like her, she should've found jobs related to water even if she has retired. Her design is pretty detailed, she was a swimming athlete so her skin can not be fair, it has to be pretty dark but not very dark like foreigners like Camille, thats why she doesnt have lips colour. The colors just doesnt match, and make the character's design feel off since this girl isnt a model who cares for her looks, lollll and her skin is darker than Nammi though.

As for hair color, well, since the author has used almost all colors for other characters, there is only one left, lollll.

But honestly though, even the first time I laid my eyes on this girl, though its not how I imagine a girl for Seju (hot and sexy and super sexyyyy, lolll), I already saw that she has better looks and design than Nammi or even Camille and the assassin. Very detailed, the messy hair is on purpose, etc... Actually I can see the efforts to make this girl stand out, the same feeling I had when Dawoon made her first appearance.

So I think, the author doesnt aim for someone who is hot or sexy or even prettty, they're aiming for someone who looks ordinary and very casual with her life. Camille is sharp and have this understanding attitude, too girly. The assassin is cold and sharp eyes, looking scary sometimes and too tomboyish

Its kinda cute, that the author already calls Dowon Won-ie xDDDD, our Wonnie, cute xD, somehow along the way, I started to like this character more after this introduction

Seju and Dowon (how creative this name is.. hmm, doesn't ring like Dawoon at all, I hope they won't both end up in the friendzone.. hahaha Dawoon is the queen of friendzone with Camille and Sungji )

They might be in the friendzone when the side story ends, lolll. But tbh, I had half-expected the new character's name to be initial with S xDDDDD. Since Seju, Sumin, Sungji, all are 'S', Seju's new love interest would be like that as well for the sake of Seju's role in the story, Seju is really like a side character somehow

One interesting thing though, Sungji only appears in one side story. The author actually makes effort to give all the favorite characters from readers to appear in side stories andddd Sungji only gets one and of cousre its with Sumin while SuminxSeju has two, lollll. All three are mains.

This showcases how dependent Sungji is on Sumin, she can only have things to to tell with Sumin, lolll

Team Gaji made a comment on the series, Anonymous__ agreed happily to translate it (Thanks, Anonymous__).. the rough ideas I got is that they are making 5 stories.. and they will start serializing them from Nov 19th ( yoonie, mark your calendar).. she also gave a mini introduction to her new character, her age is 28 .. a lifeguard or some sort of swimmer.. and it seems that they are in South America.

I'll mark it, thank you so much, Nora. But I'm considering not reading this side story after this news =))))))). Suddenly I have strong feelings that they might ruin Seju for good.

Before actually drawing them, I'm thinking why do I have to do it, like it doesn't have any meaning anyway. And it might also be rude to the original creators coz I can't accept their ending. It's giving me this sour and bitter feelings. But at end, thinking how beautiful they were (and distaste of what have became) gives me motivation. Like "fuck it, I'm gonna do what I fucking want coz that's what I want." I won't regret coz I really love both of them together.

There are reasons why people love SuminxSungji but there are also reasons why people love SuminxSeju xDDDDDD. And you're just unluckily in the group of loving something not perfectly end well xDDDDDD

When one story with another great love story existing, we cant help but feeling frustrated and thinking "it could've been better" in our line of thought of what is better. Even though, the judgement of which is better, is pretty subjective xDDDDD.

If we're about to draw them from the beginning then their first meeting would be Seju is cold and distance (or maybe, not actually cold, but not good at dealing with people, a pretty kid but lonely, keep to herself alot) while Sumin is shy and awkward but friendly and smile a lot. They're the opposite of each other when they met

The cotton candy scene, I think they've known each other for years already.

From their conversation they've probably known each other since junior high, officially dated in high school, had the first sex in college.

Basically they're turtle comparing to SuminxSungji.

It would give you different feelings than SuminxSungji xDDDDDD. SuminxSungji move too fast with their relationship and they already dated and have sex pretty fast

I think SuminxSeju took longer, about 3 to 4 years to be able to know their feelings and actually date each other. Their relationship was slow and pure, just like how we imagine our first love.

And yes, the cotton candy scene I believe they havent dated each other yet, just be friends who were shy about their feelings towards each other, still a crush.

Such a shame, this love gives me lot more feelings than SuminxSungji. Such a shame that Sumin has moved on and we will soon see Seju moving on, too xDDDDDDD
